Lyre

Early in the morning, on the next day, Izzy approached Weigela.

" Weigela, can I talk to you?"

Weigela smiled " Of course".

That smile on her face made Izzy think of the deep sadness on her face from the day before. She felt even more willing to help Weigela and perhaps even help herself in the process.

The two girls sat on a bench and Izzy coughed.

" Weigela, if I said I knew of a way to heal you injuries. Would you believe me?"

Weigela looked into Izzy's eyes. She turned her head to the side in a smile.

" If you could heal me, I would probably give my life to you". The seriousness hidden behind that smile made Izzy shiver.

" Ah n-no need. But if so would you let me try?"

Weigela nodded, she was simply going along with Izzy. She knew there was no was Izzy could heal her, especially with her low level.

She held out both of her arms and Izzy looked down.

" U-um... maybe we could find somewhere more private".

Izzy got up and walked further into the trees with Weigela walking behind her.

She was surprised that Weigela had agreed so suddenly. She had spent the night figuring out ways to convince Weigela to believe her.

The fact that it was so easy made her feel like she had lost out on some precious sleep time.

The came to a secluded area in the man-made woods of the school.

" Promise me you won't tell anyone" Weigela smiled.

" Of course".

Weigela knew that Izzy had good intentions so she was willing to go along with her. Izzy also posed no threat and Weigela knew that even if she tried anything. She could easily take Izzy down.

Izzy instructed Weigela to sit down and roll up her sleeves.

" Okay stretch out you arms and close your eyes. Don't open them no matter what".

Weigela nodded.

As she did so Izzy whipped out the phone and began to channel her power into the music. She had scrolled through the most suitable healing song.

Breathing in Izzy said out loud. " System commence healing process".

[ Is the host sure you want to go through with this-]

"Yes".

A blue ray shot out and the music slowly played. Weigela jolted and felt the hairs on her arms raise as she heard the music. She was tempted to open her eyes but stopped, choosing to trust Izzy, even though it was simply on a whim.

Eventually she began to feel hot. Her arms felt heavy and then she felt them shake as a burning heat surrounded her. The sensation was uncomfortable and then she felt a buzzing in her brain. Her head fell back and her mouth opened.

[Commencing nerve repair.]

Izzy was sweating.

' Girl, do you need my help?' Theonymphi offered. Despite having healing abilites even he could not heal an injury like Weigela's. He thought it was a long-shot for Izzy to try and heal Weigela.

But he did not rule out the possibility that anything was possible, since she had that black box.

Weigela groaned and then felt a cooling sensation flow out from her body. She suddenly felt refreshed.

[ Healing complete. The host should refrain from using any magical power for at least two days. Or the host's body may not be able to sustain itself]

Izzy was dizzy and stumbled a bit. She put the phone back into her blazer and looked at Weigela.

Weigela was now looking at her hands. The circular scars around her forearm had disappeared and she clenched her fists to see if there was any pain or shaking.

There was nothing, no shaking and no pain. She clenched even harder in disbelief and then looked up at Izzy.

Her mind could not comprehend what was happening. For years she and even her family had tried to find healers to heal her injury, but no one could. She had even wasted some of her time going to quacks and even some shady people.

No matter who she went to no one could help her.

She had only humored Izzy, not thinking she could do anything. Weigela silently jumped to her feet and summoned her instrument, she needed to see if she was really healed.

Izzy watched as Weigela's slender fingers strummed against the lyre in her hands. A calming, hong, played out and Weigela began to fiercely strum at the instrument.

Her hands played as if she had never been injured. Her muscles had retained their training from her young age and tears sprung from Weigela's eyes.

She played whilst crying in happiness. The wind picked up around them sweeping up the leaves and pebbles. They floated in the air and Izzy's hair began to whirl around, finally Weigela stopped playing.

The leaves, dirt and rock dropped.

Weigela then appeared in front of Izzy in an instant. She gripped Izzy by her shoulders and looked into her eyes.

" You healed me" her voice cracked from emotion.

" I-I can't thank you enough".

Weigela was so emotional that she hugged Izzy tightly. Izzy smiled, she felt good for doing a good deed.

" Well isn't that what friends are for".

Izzy said this casually but those words stuck with Weigela.
