35 A new power

Weigela looked down at Izzy who was shorter than her, her green eyes piercing into Izzy's.

" If there's anything you need. I will do it" she said. Izzy didn't doubt that and chuckled.

" Well you can do me favour and gain a green or blue rank. And then maybe I'll tell you just how you can help me".

Of course Izzy wasn't as altruistic as she seemed. Izzy had reasoned that if she could not be able to access the higher levels in the library. Then she needed someone who could. Helping Weigela was the best way she could gain more information. She could then have access to magic books relating to space and inter-dimensional travel.

Weigela clenched her fists, " I will do my best!"

After being healed Weigela delved straight into training. Izzy however, could not train. Her magic levels were depleted and any more expenditure of her power could lead grave injuries.

So she sat under a tree and watched Weigela train. She was fascinated by how fast Weigela's fingers stumped again the lyre. Her attacks were swift and direct and Izzy took out her phone again.

"System is there a way to increase Weigela's attack power?"

Izzy was wondering if there was a way to help Weigela become powerful within two weeks.

[ Yes. The individual can either raise their power level or practice magic spells with more destructive energy.]

" Ah " Izzy thought that maybe if she gave Weigela a song to practice this would increase her power.

"Hmmm" she thought, it wouldn't hurt to just give out one song she thought.

" Weigela" Izzy said interrupting her training.

" Yes", Weigela was all sweaty but looked incredibly happier than before.

" I'm going to play something for you. It's a spell, uh.. I'm giving it to you to practice. So see if you can play it".

Izzy played the song from the phone. There was no power behind the song this time because the phone could not draw power from Izzy or use someone else's.

Weigela listened to the song with her mouth open. The melody was strong and ethereal and she felt as if she was being taken to another place in time.

Weigela closed her eyes and listened to the song until the end.

Izzy looked at the still Weigela and said, " Do I need to play it again?"

Weigela's opened her eyes, they shone with intense vigor.

" Izzy that spell, it was amazing. I've never heard anything like it before."

She walked closer to her.

" Are you sure you want to give this to me?" Weigela was reluctant to accept a spell from Izzy. Especially one so profound, she could feel the deep mystery behind the spell and began to feel even more fascinated by Izzy.

" Of course," Izzy was not worried about handing a song over to Weigela, for her it was like sharing a song with a friend back home. However, to Weigela this was the greatest gift she's ever received. Magical spells were rare and most people guarded their spells with their lives. Of course there were spells everyone had access to.

But the most powerful spells were hidden within families, not to be shared with anyone.

The fact that Izzy was so willing to hand out a spell as if it was nothing was strange to Weigela, but she was not going to say no.

Izzy played to song a few more times until Weigela began to master the melody and then watched her train for the remainder of the day.
