Trick 84: Keeping a piece on your person for safety...

Ace and Sharon were about to leave Aunt Peggy's hospital room. Sharon walked out the door, saying "I just need to talk to the nurse really quick." Ace nodded and sat in the chair, watching the TV with Peggy.

Peggy turned to him and smiled "Thank you, Ace." Ace smiled and said "No problem." Peggy shook her head and sat up, saying "No, I mean it, Cloak." Ace froze and Peggy smiled, "I'm only old, not retarded."

She crossed her arms and tilted her head, "Using magic for an old woman won't cause problems?" Ace swallowed and shook his head, replying "Um. No ma'am. I can just escape anyway."

Peggy laughed and shook her head, smiling gently, "I appreciate what you did for me, even if it was only for Sharon." Ace opened his mouth and she held out her hand, saying "Don't. Sharon is a tough girl, she's been an agent all her life. The only thing I ask of you is to not let her live mine, do you understand darling?"

Ace silently nodded and Peggy smiled, continuing "We never had this discussion, did we?" Ace shook his head like a rattle and Peggy smiled, pinching his face as she said "Good boy. Your secret's safe with me. However…"

She reached into Ace's coat and pulled out his gun at lightning speed, pressing it against his chin as she smiled, "If you hurt my darling niece, I will kill you. Even if I have to crawl out of my grave, are we clear?"

Ace nodded quickly and Peggy looked at the gun, smiling "Smith & Wesson compact 9mm… My niece has good taste." before putting it back, winking "Hopefully, her taste in arms is the same as her taste in men."

Ace swallowed and Peggy laid back down, asking "Can you change to Downton Abbey, darling?" Ace said "Yeah, sure…" as he changed the channel. Peggy smiled happily as Sharon came back, smiling "Let's go, Honey."

Ace licked his lips and got up, leaving with Sharon as she said "We'll see you later, Aunty. Hopefully with the kids next time." Peggy smiled happily and waved, looking at Ace.

Ace chuckled, "Yeah, see you next time…" before they left, Sharon looked at Ace and asked "What's wrong?" Ace let out a breath and said "You're aunt… Really fucking awesome." Sharon rolled her eyes and laughed "Whatever you say, weirdo." as she held his arm, smiling "Dinner tonight?"

Ace smiled and touched his nose, saying "She's not watching anymore, you don't have to pretend we're married. Unless???" Sharon laughed and replied "Shut up! You're such a loser honestly."

Ace chuckled and whispered "I'm cooking tonight?" Sharon whispered back with a serious expression "Alright. I'll put the ambulance on speed dial." Ace retorted angrily "It's not that bad!"

Sharon held his arm with one hand and touched her chin with the other, replying "You're right… Maybe I should eat in here?" she looked up at him and added, "Then it's only across the hall to the ER."

Ace's lips twitched and he said "Maybe they can surgically remove the bitch out of you." Sharon laughed and replied "Fuck you!" to which Ace tapped his chin and looked up, saying "Again? I'm not complaining."

Sharon squeezed his arm and said "I really hate you a lot." Ace slapped her behind, replying "Me too." Sharon jumped and glared at him, saying "We're in public!" Ace burst out laughing as Sharon stomped to the car, he followed her with his hands in his coat pockets, calling "Oh no! Mah Waife!" Sharon shouted back with a laughing tone "Shut up! Loser!" Ace laughed and Sharon suddenly said "First to the car doesn't pay for dinner." before running.

Ace was stunned and shouted "Are you a child!?" Sharon laughed and retorted "When dealing with children yes!" Ace's eyes twitched and he got into a runners start before chasing after her.

That night

Ace's hand trembled as Sharon watched him pay for the expensive restaurant bill. She was wearing a fancy black dress and Ace was in a suit. She covered her mouth and laughed as he glared at her.

The days passed by in a flash and before either of them knew it, they were waving goodbye at the airport.

Sharon smiled and waved "I'll see you soon?" Ace replied "Uhh… Maybe! I have some stuff to do, then I'll come see you." Sharon pouted and Ace paused, saying "Well, maybe I can cut a month early."

She smiled and walked back, kissing him, saying "Go do what you have to do. I'm not going anywhere." Ace smiled gently and said "Yeah, me neither." before teasing "You don't just leave a girl who gave you a gun as a gift. I heard there's consequences."

Sharon traced his jawline and giggled "Yep~ See you." before walking away, adding "For real this time!" Ace nodded "Oh yeah. Mhm. For real this time!" Sharon walked away quickly, saying "Not again! I missed my flight yesterday because of you! Bye Ace."

Ace laughed and waved goodbye as she turned and waved at him, leaving for real.

Ace sighed and his hand came down as he turned around, walking out of the airport.

Suddenly, the air felt much colder, he wondered why.

A few days drifted by

Ace was back in business, eating breakfast at the Professor's table in Hogwarts. The gun Sharon gave him was tucked into a chest holster and he looked more like a detective than a teacher.

He was reading the newspaper and eating when he saw Bellatrix Lestrange escaped from Azkaban along with 10 other high-security prisoners. Ace folded the newspaper and looked at Neville with a frown before standing up and walking over.

Ace waved and the student next to Neville slid over as Ace sat down next to him, smiling gently "Hey, kid." Neville looked at him and asked "Y-Yes, Professor?" Ace patted his shoulder, asking "Are you alright?"

Neville looked at the newspaper and nodded silently. Ace sighed and said "Come with me, I want to show you something." before getting up and walking out of the Great Hall. Neville followed him and they passed Hermione, Harry, and Ron.

Harry and Hermione watched Ace go by with confused looks as Ron asked, "What happened?" Hermione frowned and said "Well, Ace…" Harry asked in confusion, "Why's he got a gun?" Hermione was also confused and Ron looked at them in confusion, asking "What's a gun?"

Hermione and Harry looked at him, sighing as Ron frowned, "What."
