Chapter 2

It's been three years since I was reincarnated and I have just recently escaped the record everything stage. For the last few years doing anything has been incredibly difficult with my mother following me and fawning over me while my father joins once in a while.

I actually learned pretty quickly that even if we are devils letting your child physically train at the age of 2 is a bad thing to do so I resorted to my next option. Studying. Luckily I enjoy reading quite a bit, it's always fun to read about different cultures or sciences that this world has. For example, did you know this world's humans have a cure for cancer even though they are behind year-wise? Surprise, surprise it was the supernatural's fault, specifically the angels and the church since they all like life and stuff. It was pretty cool of them.

Reading is fun but I didn't forget practicing either, specifically practicing magic. I learned pretty quickly that I'm a bit different in this world and by pretty early I mean like 10 minutes after I was born. I coincidentally looked out the window and what did I see? A butterfly completely made of light. A Rukh. It was VERY surprising to find one of those here since this is the world of DXD where magic is everywhere. How did they not find them? And I found my answer equally quickly. Nobody can see them not even the incredibly strong, then again it was like that in Magi too so maybe if I use a lot of them, they can see them.

Enough about that though. My clan's special ability is Gravity Magic which means we are the only person who can manipulate gravity. Okay, maybe not the only person since they can do that in other ways but we're the best at it! I also have my own ability that I haven't been able to use yet though I do know what it is. It's Solomon's Wisdom.

Throughout my short three years of life, I haven't really accomplished much but that doesn't mean I haven't accomplished anything. I was able to use about 3 spells. All basic and not even my clan's Gravity magic but I was able to use magic! It was odd, to be honest just hoping something would happen, and bam! Fire.

I did have my fun with magic after that for about an hour but now it's time to think about how magic works. I don't know about other schools of magic but devil magic relies purely on imagination so that means I could imagine anything and it would happen right? Wrong! If that was the case I would just imagine a nuke going off every time I was in a barrier and I would win the fight no problem but it doesn't work that way. It follows a certain set of laws but I haven't figured them out yet but I will soon! So far I have a few of them figured out and they all make quite a bit of sense.

The first one is that you can't use two types of magic at the same time but you can change part of the first type into the second such as using water magic and turning some of it into ice. I don't really get that one so I'll have to think about it. Number 2! You can not make or delete atoms! However, you can move them. Might be useful in the future we'll see. And finally number 3! You can make physical things out of magic but it follows the law of equivalent exchange! It takes a ton of mana to do that but~ I was able to do it. Why? Because A. I have the Rukh and B. I just got the materials. That and it was only a small plastic toy. There are a few more but I haven't figured them out.

I'll see if I can improve our magic at some point. I won't ignore my other studies though since those are also fun. I also have to train my physical body around age 5 so I still have a while. I should also think of a way to increase the amount of mana I have since they don't really have those in this world since it's generally considered an age thing since they absorb it naturally. That and it's basically impossible for them since they can't absorb mana in their air since they can't feel it. But I can see the Rukh and thus I can use it to increase my mana faster than it would happen letting it happen naturally. It will take a while though.

It's basically the same in other races other than Yokai since they use Senjutsu and Yojustu and that comes from Chakra and that can be trained. Touki is the same but basically, nobody uses it since it literally comes from blood, sweat, and tears.

I have quite a bit of training and reading to do but I don't mind. I've recently found out the joy of learning and I won't give it up any time soon.
