I wake to knocking the next daybreak. I go and opens it to see the 7th year's standing there.
"Yes," I ask, sleepily as Yuki slowly get out of bed. "What is it?"
"The Professors want all of us to meet them at the edge of the Dark Forest," they explain. "You don't have to wear your uniform."
"Okay, thanks," I nod, slamming the door behind me. "You hear all that Yuki?"
"Yup," she yawns, as I open my closet. I pull out some blue skinny jeans, an extra-large, cream-colored, thin, crocheted sweater, and boots. I don't do my hair and just leave with Yuki, we meet up with Rose.
We follow all the other students as we head to the outskirts of the Dark Forest.
On a platform, the Professors are lined up, Professor McPixy is at a podium.
"Good morning everyone, I am sure you are all wondering why you were all gathered here today," he begins. "Today we will be showing you a short demonstration of the danger living in these very woods."
"But why what's so great about these "dangers" that live here," someone in the crowd asks, as we reach the others.
"It is probably already common knowledge that the Nature Witch has arrived here and is among you," he explains. "And because of this, a great evil is rising from this forest that will attack Hogwarts. Now when, where, and how this will happen is unknown as of this moment. But it is best to start preparing now rather than later. So, because of this, we want you to know the difference between good and bad mystical creatures. Professor Grubbly-Plank, if you will."
One of the professors steps forward and lifts the tarp off of a cage. Inside is a pitch-black raven trying to escape.
"This is one of the Shadow Beasts that attacked the Nature Which a few months ago," Pr. McPixy continues. "We were able to capture it because it was wounded by the Nature Witch's familiar. You can tell it's a Shadow Beasts because of its pure black color. And because it will Attack any none dark creatures and/or people."
"So what do we do if we find one of them," someone else asks.
"Get out of there as soon as possible and notify a teacher," he replies. "But they're not just ravens. They can appear as any creature, just a darker version."
"But what if that other creature is already naturally dark-colored," a girl questions. "How will we tell the difference then?"
"If that is the case, you can tell by its dark aura around it, " Pr. McPixy answers. "If it's good then that won't be there. And as I said if you do encounter one get away as fast as you can and report it to a teacher."
He continues talking till lunch and we are dismissed. We go to the Grand Hall, we sit together at the Gryffindor table and eat.
We chit chat a bit before going and getting ready for afternoon classes. Mine is Transfiguration and DADA(Defense Against the Dark Arts).
Professor McGonagall greets us and starts class. We do pretty much the same thing as last time, but this time we transform our familiars into other objects.
Then in DADA, Pr. Debhill has us battle against our greatest fears. Thankfully I go last.
When it's my turn, I walk up to the "nightmare" wardrobe and take deep breaths. The door creaks open and my foster parents step out.
The other students probably thought that they weren't terrifying, but I do.
"So this is where you've been hiding, you little brat," my Foster Father walks towards me.
"Yeah, you just asking for a beating," my Foster Mother roars, bringing out her whip. "I should have killed you back when you first came into my house!"
She begins whipping me and I cover my head with my hands. When she finally stops, I crouch down and they both walk closer to me.
"You will always be a Monster," Foster Dad laughs, I begin to cry.
"Please, just leave me alone," I plead as Foster Mom begins to whip me again. "Go Away!"
All of a sudden, a huge blade of air whips off of me and throws them away from me. And they disappear.
"A-are they gone," I ask wiping away my tears looking around.
"Yes Dear, they're gone," Pr. Debhill smiles, helping me stand up. "You did a good job."
I nod and walk away, I grab my messenger bag and leave, Yuki following behind.
I go to the library and stay there for a bit doing homework. Before I head to the Grand Hall. I sit next to Rose and start eating, not saying a word.
"Hey, are you okay," Wolly asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I reply, finishing my dinner. "I think I better turn in early today. See you guys tomorrow."
I quickly escape and find an unpopulated hallway. I lean against a wall and the tears just pour down my face.
"Couldn't hold them back long huh," a familiar voice sighs, I don't look, and all of a sudden someone picks me up bride style and starts carrying me somewhere. I look to see who it is and see Liam, he carries me to the medical wing.
The nurse bandages up my wounds from the whip. Once she's done, Liam walks me and Yuki to the Gryffindor's hallway.
"Cheer up Mahō, it's not that bad," he smiles. "Besides you're not a monster, they are."
"Thank you Liam," I faintly smile. "See you in the morning."
"Yeah," Liam chuckles, as I open the door. "See ya."
I go inside and giggle.
"It's nice to know someone cares," I smile warmly. Then I head to my room.
I go inside and get ready for bed, I plop onto my bed and crawl under the covers. Yuki jumps up and lays at my feet.
I soon enter the dream world, smiling.
My birdies come again and get me up and ready. They twist my hair and pull it back into a low ponytail. They add their flowers and Rose knocks on my door. I let her in and the birds do her hair too. I wake up Yuki.
The birds do Rose's hair with actual roses, we say bye to my feathered friends. I close the window and we head to breakfast.
Rose sits next to Kelly and I sit next to her, Yuki jumps up onto the table.
"Good mornin'," I smile, starting to eat. I glance over at Liam sitting at the Slytherin table. He notices me and gives a little wave, I wave back. I turn back to my other friends. "So what have you been up to?"
"Nothing much, just the usual," Wolly grins. "What about you two?"
"Doing schoolwork mostly," Rose replies, taking a sip of her drink. We talk for a while and then head to class.
My first class is with Pr. Hooch at the training yard. She teaches us how to fly on our broomsticks and I fly around the yard.
My next two classes are both quite intriguing. Then I head to lunch, bumping into Liam along the way.
"Hey, how are your wounds doing," he asks as we walk to the Grand Hall.
"They're doing really well, Malfoy, thanks for asking," I smile, as I open the door. "Well, I better go meet up with my friends. Bye."
I wave as I head to the Gryffindor table and sit next to James.
We talk until our afternoon classes begin. And they go by in a blink of an eye and it's already dinner.
We meet up again, then all of a sudden I start being lifted off the ground by the hood of my cloak. I look up and see a man in old fashioned clothes covered in blood.
"Hi," I beam, as he lifts me higher off the ground. "Whatcha doing?"
"Danger. Coming," he replies, floating acrossed the hall and through a wall. Face planting me into the wall, he comes back through. "Sorry."
"No it's fine, you probably just forgot that I'm not a ghost-like you," I smile, floating over the Slytherin table. Then I felt it, me slipping out of my cloak. And falling onto the table with a crash. "Ow, that's definitely going to leave a mark."
"Must go now," the bloody guy urges, lifting me again by hooking his arms under my armpits, facing my back.
He quickly floats towards the doors, just as something smashes through the windows. I look up and see people dressed in all black. They look around and when they see me, they start blasting spells at me.
"Reversema," I yell, lifting my wand. All the spells cast at me go straight back to their casters and they explode!
"Woah that was close," I gulp, as the professors drive away the dark wizards and witches. And the bloody man sets me down. "Thank you so much, sir. But if I may ask, who are you?"
"The Bloody Baron, the ghost of the Slytherin house," he replies.
"Well it's nice to meet you, Bloody Baron," I smile warmly. "But Bloody Baron isn't very appealing." I thought out loud, tapping my chin, then it comes to me. "I know! How about I give you a nickname! How does that sound?"
He just nods and I get really excited.
"Hm, let me think," I mumble. "Well all that's coming to me is Barry. But you probably don't like that do you."
"No... I actually like it," he smiles.
"Really, okay, then from now on, I'll call you Barry," I giggle, happily. "And thanks again for saving me. I probably would have been toast if you hadn't warmed me."
"Don't worry about it," he chuckles. "It was my pleasure to help you, Miss Kage."
"Hey, you let me give you a nickname so you don't have to be so formal," I shake my head. "I know, how about you give me a nickname!"
"Uh, well, how about Little Flower," he replies thinking. "How does that sound?"
"Little Flower, huh... I like it," I agree, grinning. "Well I better finish my dinner, but I'll see you later okay?"
He just nods, handing me back my cloak and messenger bag still around the arm. I put it back on and he floats out of the hall. I sit back down next to Yuki, who ate the rest of my food.
"Ha~, I should have guessed you'd eat it," I sigh, frowning. "Well, I guess I should head back. Goodnight guys."
"Yeah, night," Rose smiles, also standing up. We go back to the girls' dorm and go to our rooms, I get ready for a bath. I go to the girls' bathroom and give the password to the lady in the portrait and she opens the door for me.
I go in and take a bath, dry off and get dressed. I head back and go to sleep.
