Magical Creatures

My flying friends wake me up by tapping on my window. I open it, letting them in. I get dressed with their help and they pull my hair back into a bun. Of course, it's infused with flowers.

Rose comes over and the birds help her with her hair. Once they're done, they leave and I lock the window.

"Okay, let's head to breakfast Mahō," Rose smiles, I nod and we walk to the Grand Hall together with Yuki, in adult form.

We sit on either side of Kelly, Yuki on the table eating my bacon in pup form.

"What happened last night? Why did the Bloody Baron save you," James asks. "It's common knowledge that he doesn't help really anyone except the Slytherin's and sometimes not even them. And when the Slytherin's become friends with him, he'll sometimes scare people for them."

"Maybe he just wanted to be nice," I reply, eating. We converse for a bit before heading for our first classes.

I head outside with Yuki, Kelly, and Lily for Care of Magical Creatures with Pr. Grubbly-Plank.

She has us go and meet her unicorns, she has them fenced off. One of them comes to me and nuzzles me with its snout.

"Hey stop it, that tickles," I laugh, he finally stops and I pet him. "Good horsy."

"It seems all animals really do love you," Kelly giggles. "And I thought it was just the birds and sea creatures."

"Well it is believed that she's the Nature Which, so it's kind of expected," Lily replies, chuckling.

Pr. Grubbly-Plank explains the habitat, feeding, and personality of the unicorn. After giving us our homework, we're dismissed.

I head to Charms and Pr. Flitwick teaches us a new charm. A binding spell, that seals a deal between two people. It's not a hard spell to master and after everyone finishes, he gives out homework and we leave.

My next class is Potions, we learn to make the truth potion. I have a bit of trouble and Lily helps me out. I finally master it and Pr. Bubbly-Sudds dismisses us.

Together we go to lunch, sitting with Remus, Rose, Wolly, Albus, and James. We eat and talk.

Then we go. I head outside for my flying class in the training yard. We learn how to balance on our brooms and how to steer.

It was a lot of fun!

Then I head to Transfiguration, Pr. McGonagall has us turn our familiars into household furniture. We do that for a bit before she gives us a short test. After that, she dismisses us early and I head to the library with my friends.

We sit at a table near the one that Liam helped me at. He's there doing his work. I decide not to bother him and get to work myself.

After finishing all our homework we head to dinner together. We meet up with Remus and James who are debating something.

"What you arguing about now," Kelly asks, taking a sip of his drink.

"Remus said that his noise he calls music is better than classical music," James roars.

"It's called rock and it can beat your classical music any day," Remus counters. "Right Mahō."

They both turn to me.

"Personally I like both equally as much, it just depends on my mood," I reply, trying to keep the peace. "If I want to relax I'll listen to classical piano, but if I want to tune everything else out and want to be in a good mood, I'll listen to Rock."

"Hm, that doesn't help at all," James frowns. "We'll discuss this later."

They stop arguing for that time being and we talk for a while. Then Remus leaves first, James follows soon after. Lily, Rose, Wolly, Albus, and Kelly head back to the library to study a bit more.

I stay behind for a bit longer before leaving with Yuki in my arms, asleep in a food coma.

I walk past a dead-end hallway and hear Remus and James voices. After a moment they just stop. I peek around the corner to see them kissing! Remus pinned against the wall by James.

I quickly sneak away and head inside my dorm room. Giggling before setting Yuki down on my bed. Getting ready for bed myself by undoing my hair and braiding it. Before heading to the girls' bathroom and brush my teeth.

I head back to my room and crash onto my bed. Falling fast asleep.

I wake to Rose shaking me the next morning.

"What," I ask, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes as I sit up. I look at my clock and it reads 1:30 am. "Why'd you wake me?"

"A huge dragon is flying around above us, we need to get out of here," she yells, I slowly get out of bed and put on my slippers. "Come on, hurry up! We need to get moving!"

She grabs my arm and starts dragging me. As we go I grab my PJ robe. She leads me down a corridor to the Gryffindor lounge, where we meet up with the guys.

"Why are we leaving," I yawn, still half-asleep. "I remember something about a dragon."

"Miss Kage, may I ask for your assistance," a familiar voice questions, I turn to see Professor McPixy.

"Sure, why not," I agree, putting on my robe.

"I need you to talk to the dragon before it burns down the whole school," he explains, grabbing my hand. "And you're the only one suited for this task."

"Alright," I nod and he drags me too, he leads me up a windy tower all the way up. He opens the door and pushes me through it.

"Good luck," he yells, slamming the door shut. I look around me, I'm on a very high platform on the very peck of the castle. Looking up to see a dark mass moving through the clouds.

In the light of the setting moon, I see the outline of a massive beast. He flies out of the clouds and lands on the flat ground in front of me.

"So you're the one they sent to deal with me, a little girl, hahaha, " he laughs. "They sent a child to do a man's job. Cowards, that's what they are."

"Well that may be, but can you not call me a little girl, I'm 11, and yes, I know I'm short for my age," I grumble. "You don't have to point it out. It's already a known fact about me. The prophesied Nature Witch might be a short 11-year-old girl."

"Wait, you're possibly the Nature Witch," Mr. Dragon asks, surprised. "Well now that I think about it, that would explain why you understand me."

"Yeah, you were probably expecting a great sorceress right," I force a chuckle. "Actually, I didn't know this world existed until I got my acceptance letter a few months ago."

"Really, that is surprising," Mr. Dragon agrees.

"Mmhmm~, and yes, I was sent here to ask you to not burn down Hogwarts," I nod, stepping a bit closer to him. "It's the only place I can really call home, and I need to be ready when the Shadow Beasts attack again."

"They've already attacked you before, " he questions. "They must really not want to take any chances."

"Yup, they've attacked me three times total, once when I was at the orphanage and the other two times in the Grand Hall here," I reply, a shiver goes down my spine remembering. "For the last few months, I've mostly been in the medical wing recovering from just one of their attacks."

"Hm, I won't attack your school, for now," Mr. Dragon spreads his wings.

He flaps his wings strongly, creating powerful gusts of wind. They almost knock me over but I hold my ground. He flies into the sky and disappears in the clouds.

Pr. McPixy comes up to me from behind and congratulates me. I go back to my friends and pass out on the couch.

I wake up in the medical wing, again, and slowly sit up, stretching.

"Ah, you're awake, Miss Kage," Mrs. Nurse greets. "You fell asleep from fright and exhaustion. But don't worry, you still have time to get ready for breakfast."

"Thank you, Miss Nurse," I smile, climbing out of bed. "I better go then and do that."

"Okay bye, and please, try to take better care of yourself," she waves as I leave the hall.

I race back to my room and my friends, the birds, help me out once again. They help me get dressed and do my hair. They do a half-up, half-down look, and of course, adding their flowers, this time they're beautiful white roses.

Grabbing my messenger bag and Yuki, then head to the Grand Hall. I sit next to Lily, setting sleeping Yuki on the table.

"Oh~, she's so cute when she's asleep," Lily smiles warmly, scratching her head.

"Yeah," I agree, digging into my food.

"So what happened with the dragon," Wolly asks.

"We mostly just talked, then he agreed not to destroy the school for a while," I reply, sighing. "It was so scary! He was HUGE!!"

"I can bet, dragons are known for growing into huge beasts," Kelly agrees. We discuss it more before heading to class.

The entire day goes by in a flash and I'm heading back to my room. I do my homework and get ready for bed. I pass out soon after my head hits the pillow.
