Madness That Dances Under the Moon

A strange man pestered a young boy, “You look bored, do you wish to hear of the time when gods would walk upon the mortal plane? The story of Madness that Dances Under the Moon?” “Uh? No? Ah wait please!! Don’t leave!! Just a bit of your time!!!” The man pleaded. “I’m not giving you money.” The boy said. “No, no! It’s fine I don’t need money! Just listen to my story!” The man said, frantically trying to convince the boy. “What the hell? Ask someone else.” The boy looked at the man warily. “And let me tell you this, if you try to kidnap me, I’m very sick in the head, so I might just go crazy.” “I’m not going to kidnap you! Really, I just want you to listen to me!” The man said. “Ok, maybe I believe you, but why me of all people?!” The boy asked, flabbergasted at the man’s conviction in making him stay. “Well, Erm. I can see it in you!! Your aura and personality! Your looks!! It has to be you!” The man explained. The boy looked at the the crazy man. Who would be insane enough to follow a random crazy? ‘I am.’ The boy thought.

Hopeless

"My emotions encompass every being in existence, even other gods. This disease feeds of what my existence is made up of.. no… it doesn't just feed off of it."

"It contorts and changes it, corrupts it with my desire. I both wish for it to continue, but also beg that it stop."

The god could only stare blankly at their lover. "And so? You are still you, you're still the one I love!" They proclaimed.

The abomination smiled grossly. It's ugly heart felt full and warm. "I wish to devour you.. my love for you is so much that I wish to destroy you." The abomination said sinisterly. The god shivered, but still looked at their lover with conviction.

"This world, so beautiful, I want to dance under the moon. Do you know? One of the only things that can cure my madness, if only temporarily, is the moon." The abomination said while gazing at the moon.

The god stared at them, "If it is one of the only cures, then what are the others?" They said with both curiosity and anxiety.

The abomination looked down at its lover, and pointed at them with one of its many ghoulish hands. "The other one is you, and perhaps there are other ways, but I have not found such things yet."

Joy could be seen on the god's face, "And yet… this madness sickens me. Even if you stay with me, my insanity will only worsen. Soon enough I will bring upon a calamity, that not even the celestial plane will be spared from." The abomination could not bear to see such a hopeful face on their lover, especially in this hopeless situation.

"My gods, did they really talk that much?" The boy spoke in an annoyed tone. "Actually, didn't you say you were almost finished? Why is there still more?"
