11 Meeting Azazel.

Not long after Alexander talked to Ingrid, she directly called Azazel. Azazel currently was in the Underworld sitting in his office reading some reports. When he got that communication request he was surprised. He rarely got calls from Devils so he answered.

"This is Azazel. Who am I speaking to?"

Ingrid currently in Alexander's office sighed and talked.

"This is Ingrid, I am a servant of Cleria Bellia and I am currently tasked by my lady to serve someone who wishes to speak to you."

Azazel paused for a few seconds before answering.

"Who?"

Ingrid answered after.

"I am sure you heard the name. Alexander Canis."

Azazel had heard that name circulating around.

"You mean that new upstart business owner? The CEO of Canis Tech?"

"Correct. However, in truth, Alexander Canis is in reality the Berserk Werewolf that appeared near Kuoh Town. He and Lady Cleria currently have an agreement as Alexander is the mastermind behind the upcoming release of the mobile phone."

Azazel had heard about that werewolf that appeared and disappeared. Not before killing a few Exorcists, and almost Cleria Bellia. Michael even descended from Heaven to deal with the threat, but he lost it.

"I see. So, Cleria took him in. Is he in her peerage?"

"No, not at all. He has his own autonomy and he wishes to meet with you soon. I don't understand why he would need to, but it is his choice."

"May I speak with him now?"

Alexander waved his hand and took the magic circle Ingrid was using. He waved his hand and made it so that they could see the other as well. His wolf ears and tails popped out as he looked at the head of Grigori.

Azazel also looked at Alexander and did not expect the Werewolf to look so young.

"So, you are Alexander?"

Alexander nodded.

"The one and only. If only we were face to face we could talk over some scotch, but that can wait. Now, what I will tell you might not matter to you, but it does to me. This kid in my arms is the child of some people I really cared about.

They were good people, but a Fallen Angle killed them. In turn, I killed and tortured the Fallen as he wanted to capture her to sell."

Azazel sighed.

"I am sorry. I am willing to compensate you if that is what you are after?"

Alexander shook his head.

"It's fine. I got the information out of the guy. He was a deserter and had no ties to Grigori. However, the main reason he was after Shina, was because she has a Longinus."

Azazel and Ingrid were shocked as they looked at the little girl in Alexander's arms. Ingrid wanted to ask if he would allow Cleria to add her to her peerage. However, Alexander was not willing to do that. He considered peerages slaves and he would not allow her to be a slave.

Azazel leaned back and looked at Alexander.

"You must be telling me this for a reason?"

Alexander nodded.

"I have heard a lot about you Azazel. I know that you were the one who pull Grigori out of the Great War. Now, my offer. Be my business partner. I am sure my own creations would interest you. Like this one."

He raised his right arm and showed off his watch which transformed in front of Azazel's eyes. As a fellow inventor, how could Azazel not be interested?

"How did you do this?"

Alexander smiled as his robot turned back into his watch.

"I could tell you, but you would have to agree to be my friend."

Azazel smiled as he already liked Alexander.

"Canis Tech is releasing your phone in exactly a week. I will be there tomorrow. But I won't be alone."

Alexander nodded.

"That is fine with me. Be seeing you."

Azazel nodded and they both cut communication with the other. Once that was done he turned to Ingrid.

"Well, be ready to allow Azazel entrance to my office. I will need to meet with him."

She nodded.

"Alright. But are you sure this is a good idea?"

Alexander sighed.

"I know what I am doing. Now, leave me."

She wanted to say something else, but she knew he needed time to be left alone. She left his office and closed the door behind her. When she did that Alexander picked up Shina and kissed her cheek.

"Well, guess from this day on I am your dad."

Shina hugged his face and fell asleep. She had been through a lot, but he would have to be ready for when she got older. If she did have a Longinous, he would have to train her to not be weak. All so that she would not go through what her parents did.

--

Once Shina fell asleep, he set her down in the crib that he always had in his office as he had often taken Shina with him. Now, he was glad that he did so as it saved her from a tragedy. Who knows if he could have found her once the Fallen teleported away?

The thought caused him no lack of anger, but what was done was done. He sat down in his chair and opened up his laptop. He began to type away at the many reports he had as he was going to be dealing with so many things once the release occurred.

Cleria had opened many stores throughout Japan over the course of the year so they were more than prepared. Alexander had to say he owed a lot to Cleria so he would make sure that she did not end up like Miki and Gorou.

For the entire night, he worked through the entire night as it kept his mind from bad thoughts. He stopped working when he heard Shina begin to cry. He waved his hand and brought Shina to him.

"It's alright."

She however did not stop crying. She was not hungry, and she had not dirtied her diaper. He began to cradle her in his arms, but that seemed to do nothing to stop her wails. He looked to the sky and remembered a song he learned when he almost became a father.

He never got a chance to sing it though as Samantha killed their child before it was born.

"Well, one time Shina. Just one."

He began to hum a low and guttural hum that made use of his unique vocal cords. It caused her to immediately stop crying as she listened to him.

"The sky is dark and the hills are white. As the Storm King speeds from the North Tonight. And this is the song the Storm King sings. As over the world his cloak he flings. Sleep, sleep Little One Sleep. He rustles his wings and gruffly sings."

By the time he finished his small lullaby, Shina was deeply asleep. He smiled as he looked down at her, before looking at Ragnarok.

"So, was it good?"

Ragnarok nodded as Alexander placed Shina in her crib. He sat down and managed to finish all his work way ahead of schedule. He looked at his watch and saw that it was 10 AM. Meaning he finished a week's worth of work in just one night. One had to be thankful for his enhanced brain.

He got up and walked over to the big window behind him. He looked out at Tokyo which one day would be his own city. He might as well take over the thing as the ruler and turn this place into a tech city.

He was knocked out of his thoughts when he heard Ingrid knock at his door.

"Alexander, you got company."

Alexander right wolf ear twitched as he could tell she was with three extra people. All were Fallen Angels and powerful.

"Let them in."

Ingrid opened the door with sweat running down her face. When the three men walked inside she felt every inch of her body tell her to run. Not only was Azazel, the only Seraph class Fallen, but he also brought two Cadre with him. Baraqiel and Shemhazai.

"Alexander, Azazel, is here."

Alexander turned around and met eyes with Azazel. For now, Azazel was taller as he was 6'2, while Alexander was exactly 6 foot. He had been growing rapidly, but it irked him to still be shorter than others. His old 7-foot height was sorely missed now.

"Welcome to my building. Hope it all was up to your standards. I haven't personalized it quite yet."

Azazel laughed as he walked toward Alexander.

"I could tell. The whole place was made through Demonic Power. So, you are working with Cleria Belial now?"

Alexander extended his hand which Azazel shook.

"Yes. Call it a friendship of sorts formed through unfortunate circumstances."

Azazel observed Alexander as the wolf's ears and the three tails wagging behind the man were obvious. His eyes looked down to meet Ragnarok who had squinted his eyes at him.

"Before we get to business, do you mind if I ask a question?"

Alexander grinned showing his teeth.

"Sure, if I get to ask one in exchange."

Azazel agreed to the deal.

"What species are you if you know?"

Alexander answered on the spot.

"A 9-tailed Wolf. Though as you can see I only have 3 at the moment."

That caused Shemhazai, Baraqiel, and Ingrid some shock. They knew of 9-tailed Fox Yokai, but they had never heard of a wolf version. However, he only agreed to answer one question. Now it was Alexander's turn to ask.

"Tell me Azazel, what are your true thoughts on the current state of affairs between Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels?"

Azazel answered honestly.

"War is stupid. I ended things because winning was hopeless. Now, I still have no interest in starting another war. A reason why I am here. You might not serve Cleria, but you were a middleman between Grigori and a Noble Devil. I see a means of cooperation."

Alexander nodded.

"Quite so. As this is my company, I can work with whomever I please. I am sure a man as long-lived as you will have plenty of stories to tell. And I see the benefit in us being partners than enemies. No one wins in a pointless war. So, are you willing to hear me out?"

Azazel nodded.

"I would not be here if I was not willing. So, can we start business? What is it you want and what will you offer for it? You must know that business works on exchange."

Alexander nodded.

"Of course, I know. You might think that the little toy I will be selling soon is my big project, but it is just a little toy I made in my spare time. I am selling them to finance my future and real projects which will probably interest even you."

Azazel looked at the watch on Alexander's wrist.

"Like your little robot?"

Alexander nodded.

"Precisely. I can make far better things than just this little toy. I just need the money which I will soon have in excess. Of course, for some of those projects, having a friend to make them with will be more fun. Your experience could come in handy with some of those."

Azazel wanted to jump at the offer as he was curious how Alexander managed to make such a robot. How was it run? How did it transform? So many questions and maybe Alexander could help him with his own search.

"Now, you got my attention. Mind giving me a taste of what these projects are?"

Alexander pulled out a spare phone from the many they had in production. He set it on the table and smiled as Dark Energon gathered it in his hands. Azazel, Shemhazai, and Baraqiel watched as he touched the phone with it.

They heard a strange sound and saw how the dark purple glow traveled through the phone before it transformed into a small robot.

It glared at Azazel before producing a Dark Energon cannon which it aimed at the Fallen.

"Stop."

The robot did as ordered and returned to the phone form. Alexander tossed it to Azazel who looked at the phone in his hands.

"Now that was awesome."

"That was just some random phone. What if that happened to a vehicle made out of magical metals? You see where I am going with this right?"

Azazel nodded.

"Alright. You got yourself a deal. I want in."

Alexander extended his hand and shook it with Azazel. Now that they had agreed to work together, it was time to do the more boring things. Contracts.
