She was his sister!

"Ah!" Alice went straight to the pool. Daniel jumped without thinking twice. Who would bear to swim in cold water on a winter night? By then, another car followed by jeeps had come round.

"No!" The intruder jumped and yelled, "Don't come."

He shivered as if he was in pain. Lin became worried about his sudden outbursts. He concluded that he was mentally retarded.

"Vivan!" a man yelled as he came ahead surrounded with a few bodyguards. Lin recognized him as the superintendent chief of the police in the area.

"Mr. Sen" lin smiled politely, "What brings you here?"

He was left wondering as to who called him here.

"He", Vivek pointed as he grabbed the brat with his collar, "How many times had I warned you?"

Lin quickly understood that he was his brother, and him being mentally retarded was not a big issue.

By then, Daniel had already brought Alice out of the ice-cold water. Lin went over to help him. He kept rubbing her hands to warm them up. Her teeth kept chattering from cold.

Bt then, few more cars came by. Lin was not surprised to see Cath, Eddie, and Jake. But when he saw Aaron, he was shocked. After all, he was a business tycoon who had access to the government.

'The Madam has a lot of worthy contacts and she is smart to have them. No wonder Sir loves her', Lin couldn't help but think.

They were relieved when they saw that the danger had passed.

"How is my sister?" Aaron came ahead with a serious look on his face.

"Sister?" Lin was, once again, hammered with shock.

"You might not know it", Aaron smiled as he pointed towards Alice, "But she is my sister."

"Oh!" Lin's eyes grew wide with shock. So, it turned out that she was his sister!

"Alice!" Daniel yelled suddenly as Vivan was being dragged away mercilessly by his brother. Everyone focussed their attention on Alice who had just opened her eyes. He had already covered her with his coat.

Alice blinked with confusion as her blurred vision restricted from what was around. She coughed up some water while Daniel kept patting her back slowly.

"Bro", Eddie placed his hand over his shoulder, "We must take her inside or else it may get worse."

Daniel nodded as he swooped her up in a princess cradle.

After laying her on, Daniel went to the side to talk to Lin while Aaron checked her pulse.

"Seems like she has to pass this with a fever", Aaron spoke grimly.

"Why?" Eddie frowned.

"She has low immunity."

"Hmph!" Almost, everyone sighed at the same time. Everyone was silent for a while before they cracked into a gust of laughter. On the other hand, Alice winced in pain. It was inaudible so no one noticed her grimaced face.

She felt the shadow grow in the wall behind her. Quietly, swallowing her in the darkness. Her pair of clear eyes go misty as they swallow her in.
