True Reason

Mu Yue spent another week under the tutelage of Tian Min on how to control her spiritual energy for combat purposes. She was first taught to control her spiritual energy to cover her body like a protective suit. Then she learned how to convert her spiritual energy to elemental energy, learning how to create a small fire, drinking water, and controlling airflow.

"Mu Yue, I have already taught you the basics a cultivator should know. I will now teach you offensive techniques. Do you see the sword in your spiritual ring?" Tian Min asked.

Mu Yue then checked the interspatial ring and found a sword and a scabbard. This sword has a blade that measures 22 inches. The sword looked ordinary when placed inside the scabbard but once you unsheathe the sword, you will see its sharpness and elegance.

"That sword will be yours from now on. It was originally mine however I'm already a Celestial and the sword doesn't suit me anymore. The sword's name is Yin Xue, a tier 9 spirit sword." Tian Min said as her gaze landed on the sword.

"Miss Tian Min, this sword is too precious to be owned by me. I'm only at the Qi gathering stage. A tier 1 sword is sufficient for me." Mu Yue said as she tries to hand back the sword.

"Take the sword, Mu Yue. Besides, I cannot retrieve the sword even if you decided to not accept it. I'm only a spiritual remnant. Now, unsheathe the sword and prick your finger using it. The sword will absorb your blood. Once the sword is imprinted, the sword will remain inside your consciousness and can be called out anytime you wish."

Mu Yue then pricked her finger using the sword. The sword started to glow after absorbing her blood and slowly disappeared. Mu Yue was startled and felt something entering her mind.

"The sword will stay at your consciousness. To enter your consciousness, you should sit and close your eyes. Focus and imagine yourself entering your mind. After that, follow your instincts and you will naturally found your self on your consciousness."

Mu Yue closed her eyes and did what Tian Min told her. Her focus was then being attracted by something and at that moment, her surroundings were full of white background, a sword, and a jade. She then went closer and found out that the sword was indeed Yin Xue. Then she reached for the jade and looked at it, finding the symbol 'Lan' on the surface of the jade.

'Where did this jade come from?' Mu Yue thought as she goes out of her consciousness.

"Did you find the sword? Just imagine the sword appearing to your hand and it will appear instantly." Tian Min said to her but then found a puzzled look to Mu Yue's face.

"Miss Tian Min, when I entered my consciousness, I found the sword as well as a jade lying beside it."

"Strange, a new cultivator should have an empty consciousness. Will you let me look at it? Imagine holding it to your hand."

The jade appeared at Mu Yue's hand. She hands it to Tian Min as the latter looked carefully at the jade.

"This Jade is not ordinary. It is sealed and has your mark. If you do not know about its existence, then someone must have put your blood on it and hide it on your consciousness when you were a baby." Tian Min then handed back the jade to Mu Yue.

"Now put it back to your consciousness, I will now tell you my true purpose." Tian Min said to Mu Yue, her expression showing happiness.

Mu Yue then took back the jade and put it on her consciousness. She then looks to Tian Min.

"I am a Sword Celestial at the True Celestial Stage, an elder of the Quanzen Sect located on the Celestial Realm. I went down to the mortal realm to set up an inheritance to look for a suitable disciple. I don't need a strong disciple, what I want is someone who has good morals, potential, and luck.

I have been observing you on these past days and you reached my standard to be my disciple. You are polite and respectful when you talked to me. You have great potential especially now that you have successfully learned your unique cultivation method.

Most importantly, you possess a good amount of luck. Finding this cave and surviving these deep in the forest can be attributed to your luck."

Tian Min then looked at Mu Yue expectantly.

"Do you accept to be my disciple?"
