chapter 4- back in time

{ok so I legit just blinked and somehow I have 7 power stones?!?! I was jumping like a little kid in a bouncy castle for the last hour and I can barely sit down and write this so just thank you guys for reading my fanfic and thank you for coming back despite the month and a half that I didn't post anyway I wanted to say this is Luffy's POV and got sidetracked...}

*at the research center*

"So Don, can you explain this machine to me?" Luffy asked Don as he analyzed a particular machine with a man at the center. "Sure, captain" Don replied "basically we gave the time-time fruit to our prisoner from the... where are we at? 255th? yea the 255th war, fleet admiral Leonardo, and the machine over here is going to forcefully awaken the fruit to its utmost limit. this process is quite dangerous thanks to a certain someone *cough* who shortened the deadline by half. As a result, we can only send back your conciseness and not your whole body, since both the machine and Leonardo cant handle the stress at the moment."

Leonardo had a blank look in his eyes, I don't know what kind of preparation Don put him through, and honestly, I don't want to find out.

"This will do, by the way, I left a will and instructions of my desk so don't start fighting about succession understood?". "so it seems you took care of everything didn't you captain?" Nataly said, "yes I did so do you mind getting along with it? I can't wait for any longer". "Yes I'm turning the machine on now" said Don.

For a short while the screams of Leonardo were heard, but in less then a minute I blacked out.

I woke up while being carried by a man I instantly recognized as Garp the marine hero, otherwise known as my grandpa. I began crying and yelling "GRANDPA!!!" while trying to hug him. "Oy oy Luffy, stop whining or I will knock you out again! you are going to meet new friends" said Garp, while dogging what he thought was a futile attempt to escape his grip.

'new friends? does that mean I go to Dadan's place today? wait so I only have a couple of months, maybe a year, before the celestial dragon comes and Sabo gets attacked... I'm getting a headache only thinking about it'

as I was deep in thought, we arrived at Dadan's place. When Garp knocked the swang open and out came Dadan "WHO DARES TO COME HERE?", Garp replied with a short yet terrifying answer "it's me". Dadan was taken by surprise, and while she and Garp sorted things out I went to find Ace.

'he should be around here if I remember correctly' as in on que, suddenly someone spits on me. 'I didn't plan to kill anyone this early on but so be it' annoyed I look at the kid that had enough balls to spit on me.

but the thought quickly escaped me because in front of me, as I see ace sitting on a boar with a metal pipe in his hand. "Oh Ace your back" says Dadan, Garp also looks at Ace and tells both him and Dadan who was pretty angry "Ace meet Luffy, he will be living with you from now on".

"WHAT?! WE CAN'T TAKE ANOTHER ONE!" Dadan yelled, in an ice-cold voice Garp asked her "is there a problem?". Dadam, shaking her head like crazy, insists that everything is ok, while I try to pretend that I don't know Ace and act like a five-year-old. "Hey, you! this is disgusting, you need to apologize", as I'm yelling ace just walks past me like I'm nothing, ignoring my rant.

'why do I remember this being a lot easier? ah, now I remember I had to be tortured by some small-fry pirate for a whole day and after that, we got along... Well, I better start training my proficiency in the gum-gum fruit and power leveling my haki. this time around I will be their equal from the start cus' I am not going to let myself be tortured a whole day if there is an easier solution right in front of me. after all, here strength is superior'.

That night I unlocked my armament haki, observation haki, and conquerors haki as well as started a training program that will leave even Garp embarrassed.
