(Nataly POV)

I still can't believe it, I was with captain Luffy since I was just a little girl like my father before me, yet this is the first time I heard him yell. To make matters even more wired the moment I got out of the throne room I heard him screaming and crying with joy. Honestly, I don't even know what he is complaining about... the captain achieved immortality! I can't even fathom how many people want to switch places with him.

Thanks to his immortality, he reached a level of power so absurd that he can, quite literally, destroy the earth with a flic of his finger. I heard that before him there was some guy named white beard that had the strength to hypothetically destroy the plant at the peak of his power, but forget hypothetically, about five hundred years ago he used his gum-gum fruit to launch himself to the god damn moon with nothing but sheer fucking force. I mean that white beard guy only trained for like 60 years max so the captain with about ten times the training time, and his overpowered haki is so much above that guy it's just sad.

But that's not all, he tried to unleash his strongest attack coupled with haki, and the moon was obliterated on the spot. After that, the sea went crazy with no moon to pull the tide so the captain just keeps the whole sea at bay with his conquers haki. I have no clue how the marines have the bravery to face him in war every couple of years, but they just lose all of their force and retreat to petty stuff like trying to sabotage us from the shadows.

As I was lost in thought, I finally reached the entrance of the captains' castle. Before me stood a city so big I couldn't see its end. Giant houses made out of stone and trees with all sorts of rare fruits are found everywhere, this is the Straw hat country located on the island known as Raftel. it is said that it was the legendary island that the former pirate king, Gold.D.Roger, left his treasure on.

As I was walking towards the research center where Don was, I found myself in front of the poneglyph wall. This wall was built in memorial to Nico Robin so that others could learn about the history of the world since she couldn't in the end, there are many attractions like this one all around the world in honor of the captains' former crew. Each site is built upon a different dream they couldn't complete. For example, there is a highway to the legendary all blue sea in memorial to Sanji, the former head chef, and a sword dojo in the name of Zoro, the captains' former right-hand man.

At long last, I reached the research center where Don was. as I opened the door I was greeted by a beautiful marble floor and a shiny blue ceiling held up by thick stone pillars. "Don are you here?" I asked the empty room, no response. "Don?" I asked again. "I'm coming, I'm coming. Honestly, would it kill you to wait for a second Nataly?"

a grumpy voice came from the other room. out walked a tall middle-aged man wearing a lab coat, with blue hair and black eyes, "well good morning to you too sunshine. The captain wants you to complete the device ASAP, I have never seen him so excited so you should move it to top priority".

Don raised a brow "did you seriously not expect him to be excited when he can finally meet his former crew again? I mean the captain is so lonely any meaningful face will get him jumping from joy, not to mention an opportunity to fix all of the past mistakes that haunted him for years". At this point, I was a little confused "are we not meaningful?"

"*sigh* Nataly the captain has lived for more than a millennia, so many people worked for him he doesn't care about anyone anymore, and even if he did he would just try to get said person away from him because he will outlive them. the only people he can be attached to are his dead family and friends since he actually went on adventures with them, unlike now were the only thing his "crew" does is serve him like dogs *cough*like you*cough*. In all honesty, I am surprised he didn't commit suicide a long time ago"

. When the realization struck me I felt so stupid, obviously, I can't fill the room of his actual dead friends and family how could I be so dumb. As I was looking for a way to cheer up from this revelation, I remembered Dons' "hidden" insult an I remarked, "Don I hope that you know that since I know the importance of this project to the captain now, you will have to work on it double-time". Don went pale as the gravity of my words hit him, "w-wait Nataly, t-t-the project is h-hard enough as is, w-we can't do it any quicker". I let out a giggle, "you heard me now got moving" in a defeated sigh Don replied, "you're going to be the end of me".

*a couple of days later*

the moment I received the news from the half-dead Don I went straight towards the castle, "The time machine is ready, captain Luffy"
