Black Die (Prologue)

In the vast expanse of space where stars twinkle as if greeting those that laid eyes upon them, multiple figures suddenly appeared. Unbelievably, they are oddly-clothed humans that can survive in space without the help of science.

"I last sensed its presence here, go search every nook and cranny of this pocket space!"

One of the figures wore silver full-body armor with a strange symbol of a majestic white deer that has massive antlers wrapped in golden threads on its chest. Taking off his helmet, he looked like a middle-aged man with black hair and brown eyes. But the domineering aura he emits plus his piercing gaze made him resemble the war gods of the legends. His command flowed naturally that his dozens of subordinates donned in similar white-colored robes with the same deer symbol immediately vanished on sight.

"You thief, I'll torment your soul for eternity when I catch you."

Muttered the man as he gazed in the distance and disappeared like his subordinates.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck! How did they find me in this desolate place?!!"

In a certain galaxy, a battered man sped from planet to planet as multiple white-robed men chased after him. He is a handsome white-haired young man donned in a grey robe. His ruby eyes constricts whenever he looks back and sees the countless golden energies that are fired at him.

"WHAT?! This presence…HE IS HERE TOO?!!" A few galaxies away, a silver light with incomparable might is quickly increasing in size. Feeling the terrifying aura, after the momentary shock, the young man suddenly straightened his gaze. His solemn countenance hinted at his determination to do something at that moment.

Being put into a corner with nowhere to escape, the young man performed mysterious hand symbols with rapid speed as he distanced himself from the dangerous presence to buy himself more time.

A few seconds later, the space between his brows suddenly emitted bright lights as two objects shockingly came out of it. One resembles a black die with six sides, while the other is a strange palm-sized white rabbit figurine.

"It seems that we have to advance our plans, Vyr." Sighing to himself, the young man said out loud as he held the two items with both hands.

"It can't be helped, my Lord. However, I promise that I will do everything as planned." A soft voice replied. Before the sweet childish voice could fade, the rabbit figurine suddenly shined and turned lifelike as it bowed on the young man's left hand.

Smiling, the young man patted the rabbit. Then, covering the die with hazy grey energy, he threw it countless light-years away.

A moment later, the young man pointed to the rabbit's forehead as he relayed the die's coordinates.

After that, he chanted mysterious spells as red veins emerged on his skin. Turning to look at the silver light nearby, the young man briefly glanced at the rabbit before instantly vanishing.

Seeing his master disappear, the white rabbit touched its forehead as it also teleported away.

In a secluded galaxy in the corner of the universe, a silent solar system minds itself amidst the countless heavenly bodies.

One of the planets that resides within it contains the magical and vibrant energy of life. The residents of this habitable planet named their home Earth.

Suddenly, seemingly attracted by its rich life energy, a certain black die appeared on one of its continents. Moments later, the figure of a white rabbit that stands on its hind legs appeared floating in the sky.

"Hmm, despite the randomness, the treasure managed to find an acceptable planet. As expected of its destiny." The rabbit nodded to itself before it disappeared once again.

A hundred years later…

On a cloudy day, where the trees danced through the rhythm of the wind, the people of City Q lived their normal daily routines.

At a park, where the children play as their parents prepare for a wonderful picnic, a cute and chubby little boy around two years old approaches a big and old-looking tree. His parents are preparing their spot under the tree's shade, thus taking their attention off him for a moment.

Arriving at one of the tree's roots, the child picked a perfectly squared stone the size of one's pinky nail. Typical for children that age, the child put the stone in his mouth and swallowed it.

His mother, seeing him put something in his mouth immediately rushed over to check and saw that nothing was in there.

"Mark! I think we should postpone this and take Cerus to the hospital for a check-up. I saw him put something in his mouth" Seeing his wife, Mindy, panicked, Mark quickly wrapped everything up and rushed into their car.

A few days later in a clinic.

"Mr. and Mrs. Smith, analyzing the result of the x-ray, we found nothing wrong or any foreign substance in your child's body. Furthermore, all the tests we did also said that he is in good health."

Listening to the doctor's words, Mark and Mindy finally released their held breaths as they smiled at each other and hugged their son.

Unbeknownst to them, a certain die just finished adjusting to a new soul as it rolled with its upper side being one. Then, it started releasing an ominous aura…
