Part V

Mr. Lombardi grabbed the Kraft American cheese slices and I couldn't help but smile. That was my favourite brand of all time! He grabbed a can of Campbell's tomato soup paste and I couldn't be any happier.

I squealed and Mr. Lombardi turned to me in a protective stance, ready to kill someone. He sighed of relief and then looked at me sternly. "Why did you shriek, principessa?" He grumbled, looking angry.

"I-I-I didn't mean to, sir. I'm just- I'm very happy," I whispered looking down. He walked towards me and lifted my chin to look at him. "I'm very happy too," he smiled.

I felt my face warm up so I looked away. Mr. Lombardi grabbed a small pan and a small pot and set them on the beautiful stove top. I watched him cook the food and I drooled a little, at the food and at Mr. Lombardi.

His back muscles would flex every time he moved and his biceps were popping out of his sleeves. He looked very concentrated and it just made him even more attractive. Why was he interested in me?

"Mr. Lombardi? Why did you want my mother and I to stay with you?" I asked softly. He continued to stir the tomato soup and huffed out a bit. He set down the spoon and walked between my legs.

He set his hands on the counter top on both sides of me. "Principessa, your father and I made a deal. A very dangerous deal. I give him $500k, and he pays me back in 10 years. It's been 9 years and now he's gone."

Why did my dad need that much money?! He had an amazing job. Mr. Lombardi let out a breath and looked at me again. "Do you know what happened 9 years ago?" He asked me. I shook my head 'no' and stared into his eyes.

"I was only 15 years old, but I was one of the the richest people in the world. My father was very good friends with Marco. One day, while you were at school, there was a gas leak at your house.

Your whole house blew up, and your father didn't have any insurance because you guys had just bought the house, and he didn't find it necessary. Marco asked me and my father for $500k, which we were hesitant about.

But we ended up giving your father that money. With it, Marco built his very own house, bought himself a brand new car and he bought Christine a brand new car as well. That's all you guys needed.

That costed $300k. He should've gave me back the extra $200k, but instead he used it. Paying for bills, buying expensive things like phones and televisions, and Christine always bought new dresses and shoes.

My father is now gone, and Marco left me $500k in debt. I have tons of money, but still, mi ha fatto arrabbiare. So I took the house back, and I've already sold it to a nice family. I was going to kill Christine, but then I found you," he finished by caressing my face.

Mr. Lombardi went back to the food and flipped the grilled cheese. "Why am I important, Mr. Lombardi?" He smiled and looked at me. "Perchè ti amo. Ho sempre," he walked over and kissed my cheek.

I could feel myself heat up but I shook it off. "You were going to kill my mother?" I asked. I wasn't angry, just surprised. "Sì, si è messa in mezzo." He grumbled. "I can't understand you," I rolled my eyes at his stupidity.

"Did you just roll your eyes at me," he growled. I almost pooped myself. I was so scared. "Uh-I'm sorry, sir. I didn't mean to Mr. Lombardi," I whimpered. He looked into my eyes and nodded his head.

"I'll let it go this time, but this whole 'sir' and 'Mr. Lombardi' shit needs to stop," he said sounding frustrated. "Uh, um okay," I said shakily. I thought I was being polite by formally talking to him.

He put his head in the crook of my neck and inhaled deeply. "My name is Luca Lombardi. Either call me Luca, or don't. I guess you'll see what happens," he whispered into my ear. He nipped my ear lobe then went back to the stove.

I was hot and flustered. I've never felt this way before. Mr. Lomba-Luca, made me feel things I've never felt. "The food is done. Would you like something to drink with the food?" He asked me.

"Um, do you have apple juice?" I questioned. "No, I'm sorry. I'll put it on the grocery list, though. We only have Fanta grape soda, milk and water," he smiled. "Um, I'll just have some water."

Luca grabbed two glasses and filled them with ice cold water out of a pitcher. Luca took the glasses into another room and came back into the kitchen. "Do you want to eat on the kitchen counter," he asked with a smirk.

"Uh-um, no sorry," I whispered and slipped off of the counter into the floor. Luca grabbed a plate and a bowl and walked into the other room again. He came back and looked down at me. "You seem lost," he chuckled.

His laugh makes him even hotter. "Um, where are we going?" I asked him. "In the other room. Right there, is the dining room," he said pointing to the door he's been walking through.

He picked up the other plate and bowl and went back through the door. I decided to follow him instead of standing there looking stupid. I walked through the door and slipped and fell on my butt. "Stupid fuzzysocks," I muttered.

I heard Luca's laugh and then felt myself being picked up. Luca caressed my face and kept a hand on my waist. "Tu sei perfetto," he whispered. I smiled at him and then he looked away. "Dinner is served," Luca gestured to the table.

The room was beautiful. There were china cabinets filled with beautiful glasses and dishes. The walls were filled with beautiful paintings. The table was long and oak, seating 10 chairs, 4 on each side, and 1 on each end.

"I hate sitting on the ends, so if you want to sit across from me right here you can," Luca smiled. I nodded my head and plopped down onto my chair. Luca sat across from me and we ate our food in comfortable silence. When we finished eating, we took our dishes to the sink.

"Do you want to watch a movie, principessa?" Luca smirked at me. "YES! The Labyrinth!" I jumped up and down. Luca caught me and picked me up. I wrapped my legs around him and he carried me into the living room.

"Do you want to watch it in here or in the theatre?" "The theatre, obviously," we both chuckled. Then we both turned to my mother who cleared her throat. She was standing on the other side of the room and she was just watching us.

"I don't think so. Vanessa, go to your room. Luca, you," "it's Mr. Lombardi to you, Christine," Luca growled. "Well, Mr. Lombardi, put my daughter down, now!" Luca slowly slid me down his body, a little slower than necessary.

He was very tall, maybe 6'3". "Head upstairs, principessa. I'll talk to you in the morning," he whispered in my ear. I nodded my head and started walking up the stairs. I heard a smack come from the living room and rushed to my room.
