[ON BREAK. WILL OFFICIALLY BE BACK BY FEBRUARY] ----------------------- [THIS BOOK IS NOT SLOW BURN] Alexander is the country's most powerful businessman. Sabrina is the rising star of her generation. When Alexander met Sabrina, it was love at first sight. He was immediately captivated by her humble personality and her smiles. Wanting her for himself, he did things to make her fall for him. Both Sabrina and Alexander had a painful past. Sabrina was left by her long time boyfriend, Jacob and Alexander had his mom killed right in front of him when he was 7. Their pasts will come haunt them in the future along with other problems that will arise on the way. Will their love for each other be enough to overcome the obstacles that awaits them? Or giving up will be the best option? *************** [EXCERPT] "Stay there! D-Don't come near me!" she said, but it was too late. Alexander had already trapped her between his arms. His hands on both sides of her head. "Look at you denying, so cute," he teased her and Sabrina's face turned redder. "What do you want Alexander!?" she complained, facing side ways, he was being too close! "Simple," he held Sabrina's chin and turned her face towards him, "Tell me you like me," he said while looking straight into her eyes. "Who likes you? Let me go!" she said while trying to push him, but he was too strong for her. "Just tell me if you want to hold my chest," he leaned closer to her ear, "I'm more than willing to let you touch me," he whispered. "You! You're corrupted!" Sabrina accused him then threw punches at his chest. Alexander grabbed both her wrists and pinned it on both sides of her head. "I'm only like this with you, don't worry," he smiled at her, "Now where were we? Oh right! You're confession," he said. "But I have nothing to confess!" Sabrina still tried to escape from this situation. "One more denial Sabrina and you know what's next, I'll count one to ten," he threatened her. He was really eager to hear it. "One," "Two," "Hey! I already said I don't have anything to confess!" "Three," "Alexander let me go!" "Four," "Are you freaking serious!?" Sabrina raised her tone. "Damn serious Sabrina, Six," Alexander continued to count. "Hey there's still number five!" "Eight," "Alexander!" "Nine," "Fine! Fine! I like you!" she blurted out, turning her head down due to embarrassment. Then suddenly she felt a hand cover the back of her neck and pull her. She felt Alexander's lips on hers. Alexander couldn't control himself anymore. The past 2 days he was away, Sabrina was the only person on his mind. He missed her so much. Yes, call him crazy, but it was how he felt. ------------------------------------------------- Instagram: @wn_bbrightvcs Discord: bbrightvcs #3450 PS. I don't own the book cover. On the other hand, inside Sabrina's room.

"He's funny, sweet and seriously annoying sometimes, but that's what's making him unique," Sabrina said.

"I heard that Alexander is really bossy, I hope that he's not doing that to you," Amanda narrowed her eyes at Sabrina.

"Honestly Mom, he was really bossy at first. We even got into a fight because of his bossiness," Sabrina chuckled at the thought, "But after that fight, he changed that attitude of his. He's much bearable now," she smiled

"That's good to hear then," Amanda smiled and looked at her daughter lovingly, "It's good to see you in love Sabrina. Your smile looks so beautiful," she said.

Sabrina can't help it but to smile even more. It has been so long since she felt this happy. It was like her heart was about to explode anytime.

"I can't believe that you're finally getting married! I'm happy that you're finally over Jacob," Amanda said as tears started to form on her eyes.

"I can't believe it too Mom, everything just feels surreal to me," Sabrina said, "I just feel so happy and content right now."

Amanda leaned forward and hugged Sabrina tightly, "I'm really happy for you honey, Alexander seems like a good man," she said.

"He really is Mom," Sabrina said proudly, she pulled away from the hug and looked at her mother, "You will like him," she smiled.

"I sincerely hope that he's not like Jacob," Amanda said worriedly, "I saw how broken you were when he left you and I never want to see that again," she added as tears started to flow down from her eyes.

Sabrina wiped the tears of her Mom, "Don't worry, I can assure you that he's not like Jacob," she said then chuckled, "Stop crying Mom! You're making me cry too!" she complained as tears started to form in her eyes too.

"I'm just so happy for you baby," Amanda said, "I love you Sabrina and you will always be my baby girl," Amanda stood up and kissed Sabrina's forehead.

"I love you more Mom," Sabrina answered.

While the mother and daughter kept themselves busy talking inside the room, the people of the house were all off somewhere.

"Grey! Can you help me light the candles?" Kenzie said while she scattered rose petals on the ground.

"I'm on it!" Grey said. He grabbed the lighter and lighted the candles that were arranged in two vertical lines, creating a pathway going leading to a big heart shape that was made using rose petals.

"What else is missing here?" Kenzie asked as she looked around the set up they made.

"The balloons," Grey answered her.

"Oh right! Wait for me here, I'll go grab them!" Kenzie said and rushed to the car where the balloons were.

But on her way, she bumped into Alexander who was practicing his lines.

"Are you okay boss?" Kenzie asked Alexander who was walking back and forth, reciting his lines repeatedly.

"I don't know Kenzie, I'm so nervous," Alexander responded, "I haven't memorized my lines yet," he spoke worriedly.

Kenzie patted him on the back, "Just chill Mr. Grande, you're worrying too much and why do you even need a script for your proposal?" she questioned him, "Just speak from your heart and everything will be alright," she tapped his shoulder and left to grab the balloons.

Alexander glanced at the paper he was holding.

He wrote this script because he wanted his proposal to be perfect in every way, but maybe Kenzie was right.

Speak from the heart.

Alexander sighed. He folded the paper and kept it. He searched the pocket of his coat and brought out a red box.

He opened it and stared at the simple slim diamond ring inside.

3 days ago, the day after Sabrina agreed to marry him, Alexander started to plan all of this already. He asked help from both Kenzie and Grey for this proposal.

Kenzie was the one who thought of the concept and Grey was the one who bought the materials. Alexander couldn't do it personally because he was afraid that Sabrina might become suspicious. That's why he assigned this task to them.

Alexander also made a call to the Walker Family without Sabrina knowing. Through a phone call, he formally asked for Sabrina's hand. From her father, mother, and grandparents, he asked all of them and they all agreed.

They also knew about this proposal, Amanda was left in the house to buy them some time while they prepared the place where Alexander will propose.

"Alexander, can we talk?" Javier sat down beside Alexander on the hood of his car.

"Sure Uncle, what is it?" Alexander asked.

"Dad," Javier clarified, "Call me Dad starting from now on," he said.

Alexander can't help it but smile, "Okay Dad," he said.

"Good," Javier smiled as he always wanted a son and now he was finally about to have one.

"Take care of my daughter Alex. She's the most precious person in my life and I hope that you won't hurt her," Javier said, "She has been through a lot lately and I'm happy to see that she has finally found herself again. Happiness is all I wish for my daughter Alexander," he added.

Alexander gave Javier a reassuring smile, "I can't promise you that she can never be hurt with me. Marriage is full of trials and being hurt is inevitable, but what I can promise you is that I will do my best to protect her," Alexander said, "She's my life Dad and I will do everything to make her happy."

Javier smiled. He opened his arms and hugged Alexander. He tapped him on the back, "I'm entrusting my daughter to you now. Make her happy," he said emotionally.

Alexander hugged Javier back, "I promise," he responded.

Javier pulled away from him and checked his watch, "It's about time, should I call Amanda now?" he asked.

Alexander nodded in response, "I can't wait anymore," he said.

It's exactly 1 month ago when Alexander and Sabrina officially got together and he's ready to take the step to forever with Sabrina.

Tonight was the moment he had been anxiously waiting for. He hoped that it would all be worth it.
