Their pasts will come haunt them in the future along with other problems that will arise on the way. Will their love for each other be enough to overcome the obstacles that awaits them? Or giving up will be the best option? *************** [EXCERPT] "Stay there! D-Don't come near me!" she said, but it was too late. Alexander had already trapped her between his arms. His hands on both sides of her head. "Look at you denying, so cute," he teased her and Sabrina's face turned redder. "What do you want Alexander!?" she complained, facing side ways, he was being too close! "Simple," he held Sabrina's chin and turned her face towards him, "Tell me you like me," he said while looking straight into her eyes. "Who likes you? Let me go!" she said while trying to push him, but he was too strong for her. "Just tell me if you want to hold my chest," he leaned closer to her ear, "I'm more than willing to let you touch me," he whispered. "You! You're corrupted!" Sabrina accused him then threw punches at his chest. Alexander grabbed both her wrists and pinned it on both sides of her head. "I'm only like this with you, don't worry," he smiled at her, "Now where were we? Oh right! You're confession," he said. "But I have nothing to confess!" Sabrina still tried to escape from this situation. "One more denial Sabrina and you know what's next, I'll count one to ten," he threatened her. He was really eager to hear it. "One," "Two," "Hey! I already said I don't have anything to confess!" "Three," "Alexander let me go!" "Four," "Are you freaking serious!?" Sabrina raised her tone. "Damn serious Sabrina, Six," Alexander continued to count. "Hey there's still number five!" "Eight," "Alexander!" "Nine," "Fine! Fine! I like you!" she blurted out, turning her head down due to embarrassment. Then suddenly she felt a hand cover the back of her neck and pull her. She felt Alexander's lips on hers. Alexander couldn't control himself anymore. The past 2 days he was away, Sabrina was the only person on his mind. He missed her so much. Yes, call him crazy, but it was how he felt. ------------------------------------------------- Instagram: @wn_bbrightvcs Discord: bbrightvcs #3450 PS. I don't own the book cover. "Make this fast Jacob," Sabrina said as they sat at an open café along the bay.

"Do you want to order first? My treat," Jacob asked but Sabrina shot him a displeased look.

"We're not here to chill okay?" she said, "I just agreed to this because you said that you won't bother me anymore," Sabrina added.

"I'm sorry," Jacob apologized, "I just want to explain myself about everything, I know I've been a big jerk and I want to make things right for once," he said.

"I know this is going to sound absurd and completely crazy to you, but Sabrina I never stopped loving you. Those 5 years that I spent without you by my side was like living in hell, it was torture for me," Jacob said.

"Do you think there's any use of explaining that now? Jacob, you're married!" Sabrina raised her voice due to disbelief. This man in front of her was already married, what would her wife think if she knew about this?

"I know and I don't plan to continue our marriage anymore, I'm not happy Sabrina," Jacob tried to hold Sabrina's hand that was on the table but she avoided it immediately.

"The real reason why I broke up with you was that my parents blackmailed me," Jacob lowered his head, avoiding Sabrina's gaze, "Since I was a child, you know how my parents controlled every decision in my life. You, among many people, knew how I struggled to be their son," he said.

"They made me choose, destroy you or marry Valerie," Jacob looked at Sabrina with pain in his eyes, "I knew how important your career was for you and I didn't have the heart to destroy that. You've worked very hard for it and I'm a witness to all of it, I can't take your dream away from you."

"And so you sacrificed yourself?" Sabrina asked. Her eyes watered as she reminisced the pain she felt the time Jacob left her.

"They promised me not to touch you if I comply with their demands," Jacob said, "I did everything to protect you, Sabrina. All those sacrifices I made were all for you," he added.

Sabrina looked at him with disappointment in her eyes, "All for me?" she asked him, "Did I ask you to do that?" her voice cracked as tears started to flow from her eyes.

"Do you know how much I have suffered after you left me? You speak as if you're the only one who went through hell," she said, "I almost lost my career when you left me, Jacob. I didn't know how to move on with my life and it was torture! Do you know how many psychiatrists looked after me because I was on the brink of ending my life? And then now you're telling me that it was all because you wanted to protect my f*cking career?" Sabrina spoke in anger.

All those words that she wanted to tell Jacob were finally coming out of her mouth.

"We could've fought together Jacob! Do you think my career was more important than you? I loved you more than my f*cking life Jacob! You could've talked to me and we could've faced your parents together but you chickened out! You weren't brave enough to fight for me!"

Jacob was rendered speechless by her words. He couldn't think of any reason to defend himself because he knew that she was right.

"You didn't trust me and my love for you, Jacob. Don't expect me to thank you for everything that you have done for me because you did all of those by yourself," Sabrina wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at Jacob seriously, "If there's one thing that I'm thankful for you, that would be leaving me. If you didn't leave, I wouldn't have matured. I won't be as strong as I am right now and I wouldn't have met Alexander," she said which struck Jacob in the right place.

"But I'm here to make things right now. Just give me a chance and I'll make things right," Jacob reached out for Sabrina's hand and held it tightly, "I'll divorce Valerie for you and we can run away together. Lockwood Corporation will soon be under my name, we can both live in luxury," he said.

Sabrina pulled her hand from him and looked at him with disgust, "Do you hear yourself, Jacob? You sound insane! Don't you feel any pity for your wife?" she questioned him.

"I don't love Valerie okay? It's you I love Sabrina, it has always been you."

Sabrina suddenly stood up from her chair, "This conversation is done, Jacob. If you're asking for forgiveness, I have already forgiven you. But please, don't mess yourself up like this. You have a wife waiting for you," she said, "I have already moved on Jacob and so should you. I'm happy with Alexander no---,"

Jacob suddenly slammed his hands on the table, "Don't mention him," he said in gritted teeth. He stood up and grabbed Sabrina's arm, "You think it's easy to move on huh? If it was then I would've gotten over you ages ago! But no! I'm here begging you for a second chance but you're being selfish!" he shouted at her.

"Jacob let me go! It hurts!" Sabrina complained but Jacob tightened his grip on her.

"You think I can't get over you? I can date any woman that I want here," he said, "I'm not a man that will say 'If I can't have you, then nobody can' because there are so many others like you out there!" Jacob looked at her with burning anger in his eyes. He lost his sanity completely.

"Let me go, Jacob!" Sabrina shouted and at the right timing, someone grabbed Jacob and slammed him on the ground with a strong punch.

"B-Brandon?" Sabrina spoke in shock, "How d-did you get here?" she asked.

"Mr. Grande sent me," he answered, "Come on Miss Sabrina, Mr. Grande is on his way back to LA," Brandon said.

Sabrina's eyes suddenly widened upon hearing what Brandon said. A slight feeling of panic surrounded her.

Why is he coming back so soon?

She took a final glance at Jacob before she left with Brandon in a hurry. Jacob called out her name but she didn't bother to turn around.

"You said you won't be long!" Kenzie complained as soon as Sabrina entered the car.

"Did you tell Alex?" Sabrina asked Kenzie seriously.

Kenzie's throat suddenly tightened, "Uhm… it's… uh… I kind of…" she stuttered.

"Kenzie!" Sabrina yelled which made Kenzie lean back in shock.

Sabrina covered her eyes with her hands, "I'm dead," she mumbled.

Alexander was a jealous type of man and Sabrina clearly knew that. She was afraid of how Alexander would react later when he arrives.

She was for sure a dead meat.

Okay so yes, Jacob is a total jerk. What more can this character do in the future? I'm also looking forward HAHAHA
