Chapter 8 : Forgotten
"Do you remember your prince charming then, Xiao Ruo?"
"Who?"
"That handsome brother that you met on country C, the one that you talked about all day….. Don't tell me you've forgotten about him?"
Xu Zhiruo nodded innocently.
"Really? I can't believe it. You even told me you wanted to make him your husband"
"How can it be? Besides I really can't remember about the trip to country C"
"Well, I'm just stating the facts" Meng Yingyue shrugged.
'Country C? Handsome brother? Prince charming? Why did my heart hurt when he was mentioned?'
Seeing her bestfriend struggled in her thoughts, Meng Yingyue comfort her. "Aiya, it's okay little Ruo. You'll remember them gradually."
She nodded.
"Hmm... Oh yes Yingyue, please keep my memory loss a secret okay?"
"Why?"
"I just feel restless about it. The fewer knows the better it is"
"Rest assured, you can count on me" Meng Yingyue tapped her hands.
KNOCK KNOCK
The door was knocked from the outside. Hearing that Xu Zhiruo slightly frown.
'Who is it? It shouldn't be the doctor, as he just left and it shouldn't be my parents or brother, as they said they would come at noon'
Just as she was thinking, a sound was heard. "Xiao Ruo, it's aunt"

Xu Zhiruo's heart skipped a beat listening to the voice as her body trembled all over.
"C-come in"
The door opened and Xu Linglong appeared with the lovely smile of hers.
"Xiao Ruo, Aunt heard you got an accident so I came to visit you. Do you know how worried I am when I heard you were in a comma?" Xu linglong took a seat beside the bed across to Meng Yingyue.
Xu Linglong was known to be gentle and kind. Xu Zhiruo herself too believe in it, but right now, her body can't stop trembling at the sight of her.
"Aunt Linglong" Meng Yingyue greeted her
"Ey, Yingyue is here too" Xu Linglong smiled at her before turned back to the stupified Xu Zhiruo
"Xiao Ruo"
"..."
"Xiao Ruo?" Xu Linglong called her again.
Meng Yingyue also turned to her.
"Little Ruo!" Meng Yingyue shook her hands
"Ah, aunt, are you calling me?"
Xu Zhiruo controled her emotions and tried her best to stay calm.
"Yes, I've been calling you"
"Sorry aunt, I'm just feeling a lil' bit tired" She massage between her brows.
"Oh yes, you've just woke up. Take a rest then, aunty willl go back first"
"Sorry aunt, and have a safe trip back home" Xu Zhiruo gave her a smile and so did Meng Yingyue
Xu Linglong replied then took her handbag and left.
After the door was closed, they stopped smiling.
"What do you mean by that little Ruo?" Meng Yingyue slightly frown and threw Xu Zhiruo a question.
"What do you mean?" the latter ask blinking her big eyes.
"Stop pretending, I've known you for years"
"But it's really nothing. I'm just feeling tired"
"Really?" raising a brow, Meng Yingyue looked at her. 'I don't believe you' was literally written all over her face
"Really" Xu Zhiruo spoke in an assuring tone.
"Alright then" the latter replied even though she still doubt her.
"Hey, where're you going?"
Lokking at Xu Zhiruo getting up from the bed, Meng Yingyue quickly support her.
"Toilet"
"Owh okay"

The day went by really fast. It has been more than a week after Xu Zhiruo woke up. As the day goes by, her wound also got better.
"Miss Xu, I've checked your wound. It's almost healed completely. Just make sure to change the bandage regularly. Tomorrow, you may be discharge fron the hospital, congratulations!"
Xu Zhiruo nodded in understanding.
The doctor did not forget to congratulate her before back out from the room.
Xu Zhiruo was then alone again in the room. Her parents and brother have been really busy these days, especially her father. Meng Yingyue was also called by her father and couldn't accompany her.
Getting up from the bed, she decided to go out for a walk.
The hospital garden was not really crowded when she got there.
After a few minutes of walking, she sat down at a bench beside a large tree, thinking about how to regain her memories.
Lately, she had been having nightmares about her whole family being murdered. Xu Zhiruo herself doesn't really believe in spirituality, but she always believe in her instinct.
She planned to upd her skills and knowledge regarding assassination. The place where she lived, the MC Island, only worship the skilled. So if she wanted to have the ability to protect those she loved, she had to be skilled enough to beat anyone who dare to oppose her.

After discharged from the hospital, Xu Zhiruo has been training her skills in daytime and she will read books at night time.
Basically, she was like a whole different person after the accident. Before, she would slack off everytime no one paid attention at her. Now, she would train day and night. Even her parents and brother had a hard time believing in what they saw.
Xu Zhiruo trained in seclusion, so no one other than her family and the people she trained with knew what she was doing the whole time.

"Father, you looked for me?" A sound followed after the knock.
"Come in" a middle aged man said
An alluring woman surrounded by a dignified air walked in gracefully. Although she only wore a training suit, her appearence itself was able to bring destruction to the world.
"Xiao Ruo" the middle aged man called her.
"Yes, dad"
