Chapter 7 : Childish
Two weeks have passed, that means Xu Zhiruo had been in comma for two weeks. Her mother had also accompanied her at the hospital for two weeks, never left her once.
Her father and brother were busy and couldn't just ignore their work, so they would visit her every time they're free.
Today's sun shone brightly outside, reflecting a great amount of sunlight into the room. Coincidentally, Xu Zhixiu had asked for a leave to take care of Xu Zhiruo. Perhaps it was because of their bond, at the day Xu Zhixiu asked for a leave, Xu Zhiruo's finger moved, and she slowly opened her eyes.
"X-xiao Ruo?"
"Xiao Ruo you're awake!"
The mother son pair was extremely excited when they saw Xu Zhiruo opened her eyes.
"Mom, I'll go and call the doctor" Xu Zhixiu rushed out of the room to inform the doctor about her.
"R-right! Your dad must be happy to hear you're awake" Zheng ning quickly took out her phone and make a call.
"Darling! Xiao Ruo is awake!"
"Yes, okay, we'll wait for you" she said before hanging up.
"Xiao Ruo, do you know me? Who am I?" Zheng ning questioned the dazed Xu Zhiruo
"I-"
Before she could finish her sentence, the doctor came in followed by Xu Zhixiu.

After a few moments of checking her up, the doctor questioned Xu Zhiruo.
"Miss, do you remember who you are?"
"I'm Xu Zhiruo"
"How old are you?"
"18"
"Do you know this madam here?" the doctor pointed at Zheng ning.
Xu Zhiruo turned her head to face Zheng ning before slightly nodded. "Mom"
"That's great, it seems like there's nothing wro-"
"Wait-" Xu Zhixiu voiced out, made everyone in the room turned to him.
"What did you call her just now?"
"…mom"
"Then… who am I?" Xu Zhixiu pointed to himself.
"Elder brother"

Xu Zhixiu and Zheng ning's face paled.
"Is there anything wrong, young master, madam?" the doctor look at the paled face Xu Zhixiu and Zheng ning.
"There's something wrong with her.." Xu Zhixiu pointed at her with a trembled hand and said at a low voice but still hearable.
The doctors then looked at Xu Zhiruo and turned to them again. "But I see nothing wrong with miss Xu."
"Wrong.. my Xiao Ruo never called me mom… and she hardly ever called Xiao Xiu elder brother"
"This…" the doctor was confused.
'Maybe she just wanted to change the way she called them, there's nothing wrong with it.' The doctor was really confused at that moment.
After remembering something, Xu Zhixiu turned to her and asked "Xiao Ruo, mind telling us what happened before your accident?"
Once again, all heads turned to Xu Zhiruo.
"I-... I-... arghh" she curled up and hold her head down shouting in pain.
"Miss Xu!"
"Xiao Ruo!"
"Miss Xu, does your head hurt when you were trying to remember what happened before?" the doctor asked her.
Xu Zhiruo nodded.
"As expected, when I was questioning her earlier, I thought there's really nothing wrong with her. It turns out I'm wrong. Miss Xu had a partly amnesia. This usually happened when they were hit hard in the head. As for how she can regain her memories, it depends on miss Xu herself"
"Other than that, miss Xu also had some broken ribs and some slight bruises. So, I suggest her to stay at the hospital until they healed"
Xu Zhixiu and Zheng ning nodded at the doctor before he left.
"Xiao Ruo" Zheng ning called out. It really pained her to see Xu Zhiruo like this. Xu Zhiruo was expressionless since she woke up.
"Xiao Ruo, you really can't remember what happened?" Xu Zhixiu wanted to make sure so he asked her again.
Xu Zhiruo nodded "I think I have forgotten something really important but I don't know what it is. However, I know it really is important."
"It's alright Xiao Ruo, you can take it slowly, slowly" Zheng ning.
"Yeah, Xiao Ruo. You should take your time, no one's urging you" Xu Zhixiu said following after his mom.
"En" Xu Zhiruo nodded but she kept thinking about it.
'It feels like it's really really important, something I should tell mom and dad, and brother too. But what is it?'
Before Xu Zhiruo could continue her thoughts, the door was pushed opened and Xu Rong entered.
"Darling, you're here" Zheng ning greeted him
"Dad" Xu Zhixiu also greet him which he answered with a nod.
"Ah, my Xiao Ruo, you've suffered" rushing to her bedside, her father gave her a hug.
"Dad, I'm fine"
'Shocked' could be seen all over Xu Rong's face. He turned to his wife and son asking for explanation.
"Xiao Ruo had a partly amnesia. The doctor said it's because she hit her head hard.." Xu Zhixiu explained it to him. Xu Rong was shocked, then nodded.
"Then-then, Xiao Rou, why don't you call me daddy as you usually did?"
"It's childish" Xu Zhiruo said, and once again the room fell into silence.
'But that's what you usually called him though' they thought

The second day morning, Meng Yingyue came to visit her.
"Uwahhh, my little Ruoruo, how could this happen to you, I'm so heartbroken" Meng Yingyue dramatically wiped away her fake tears.
"Stop it" Xu Zhiruo shot her a look and she chuckled
"Hey, are you fine?"
Meng Yingyue sat down beside her bed, getting serious.
"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine, except for some lost memories"
"WHAT?!"
"Then, do you remember who I am?" she pointed to herself.
"If I don't remember you, won't I ask who you are when you entered the room?" Xu zhiruo rolled her eyes.
"Right, that's true" touching her chin, she was thinking about something before snapped her fingers.
"Do you remember your prince charming then, Xiao Ruo?"
"Who?"
"That handsome brother that you met on country C, the one that you talked about all day….. Don't tell me you've forgotten about him?"
