Chapter 7 – What is that all about?

White's residents;

A young man was walking down stairs as his servants preparing his meals at the dining room; he sits silently as glancing at his phone before reaching it.

"Jenny; do you have any progress on the incident yet?"

"Fortunately, I do sir. As you've been suspect earlier; the incident was actually being plan out by someone and the police have also conduct an investigation on the case as well." It was Jenny; his secretary, on the end of the other line.

"Okay; I need those reports and the files from yesterday's meeting on my table before I arrive at the office."

"Definitely, sir…"

"And one more thing, Jenny…"

"Yes, sir?"

"Do some research on Miss Erica; the one who was with me in the elevator the other day."

"Yes, sir… I'll get to that right away and send those info to you as soon as possible."

"Then, that is all; see you at the office." He hangs up and put the phone right beside his plate before sipping on his coffee that was just being serves by the maid. He paused again as staring blankly at the huge window beside the dining room.

"Being plan? For whom; me or Miss Erica?" he recalled the incident right before his encounter with the woman.

Silver Hotel lobby at the day of the incident;

"Seriously uncle; where are you?" Han keeps trying to get to his uncle John who he was supposed to be meeting there by this moment.

"I really need your help, Han.. Please!"

"What is it, now?"

"They trick me! They say it was just a game and they won't charge me anything if I play a round; but when I lost, they lock me in and force me to pay for it! Now I don't have any money on me and I'm being beaten up like a punching bag!"

"I told you to stop your stupid habit!"

"I know… I promised you this will be the last time… please help your uncle, Han!" He exhaled hard before continued;

"Tell them I'll come there with the money."

"Thank you, Han! I knew you will help you poor uncle! But please do come alone; that was they're condition."

"Yeah, yeah… just hang on there and send me the location. I'll be there as soon as possible."

"This old man…" As soon as he reaches the hotel, he can't contact his uncle and asking almost everyone in the waiting area if they ever seen him. He already asks the front desk but they seems to be not much of a help; since they can't give info to strangers.

"Seriously uncle; where are you?" Han keeps trying to get to his uncle John who he was supposed to be meeting there by this moment. As if he heard his pleading; Han's phone were ringing and his uncle was on the other line.

"Uncle, finally! Where are you? I'm already at the hotel's waiting room."

"Go to the room 1102, we're waiting for you there."

"Wait, what? Hello? Uncle John?" The line was cut off just like that. He looks at his phone screen in confusion before approaching the front desk to ask about the room.

"Room 1102; I guess this is it?" The man sighs before knocking on the room's door; a moments later, a woman opens the door glaring seductively at him as inviting him into the room.

"Please come in; Rocky is waiting for you."

"Thank you…" he lowers his gaze as he went pass by the woman who closed the door behind them. The room looks quite crowded as they were having a party there.

"Wait here." She continues as walk passes him and lost from his sight for a moment.

'I don't know they can do this in a hotel room.' A though pass by his head as he looked around the room.

"Here's your money. Where's my uncle?"

"Patients… your uncle is save… I bet he's already gone by now… you know; you should be more carefully around that fat uncle of yours. He has tons of tricks up on his sleeves; just so you know."

"Thank you for your reminder; but I believe my work here is done and if you'll excuse me…"

"Wait. Why don't you stay for a while? For someone who will come here voluntarily with a lot of cash; I think you're not just 'someone', are you?"

"I really think I have to go now…"

"Come on… let's just chill for a while; I believe you do have more from where that money came from, don't you?" The guy that was called; 'Rocky' smile sneakily at the man as signaling them to block his way out.

"What are you trying to do, here?"

"Can't you see? I was just trying to get more from where this money came from."

'Seriously; what the heck does Uncle John think he was doing? Making me bait, so he could run off?' Han run as fast as he could to the stairs after struggling to get away from the gang in the room earlier. He was beaten a few times but manages to escape after pretending to lost conscious.

"There he is!"

"Sheesh! Don't they get tired?" He murmurs as continued to run upstairs before get out fro the exit door and running towards the elevator lobby.

That's when he they got stuck.

Han was about to enter his building when he was stop by a sight near the roadside. His uncle was walking across the road but paused when he saw Han.

"Han?" Looks like it wasn't just his uncle that was surprised by this sudden encounter, as the middle aged man starts to sprints from there to the nearest alley.

"Uncle, stop!" The man dashes towards his uncle without any hesitations.

Meanwhile;

"You think he'll say yes?"

"Sure thing; how can he reject our proposal; besides, he won't stand the chance to do so if he knows who is our Erica really was. I bet he'll beg her to stay with him he knows her true identity."

"But you still have to apologize first…"

"Yeah, yeah…" They both were just about to cross the road when they saw the man they was looking for; sprinting right passes them in a blink of eye.

"Eh? Wasn't that…"

"I thought it was him too."
