6 Chapter 6- 2nd encounter

"It was quite okay, actually…" Finally Nick spoke as being provoked by Erica continuously.

"See? I told you so…" Erica takes a seat besides Lana.

"Thanks BOSS…" Nick shoots a glare at her as she mocks him.

"So where are we headed to?" Erica glances at Nick as he sits silently at the driver's seat focusing on the road in front of them; ignoring her.

"Lana?"

"Don't look at me… I told you it was going to be a surprise." The young girl smiles at her sister as hugs her arms tightly.

The three of them arrive at the mall as planned; Erica turns to face Lana with confusion.

"The mall? For what occasion?"

"Shopping!" Lana said loudly in a cheerful tone as she sets off linking hands with both Erica and Nick's arms.

"W... wait, Lana!" She was been dragged forcefully without having the any chance to said anything.

Erica was ended up being dragged from shop to shop non-stop by Lana excitedly; she didn't have any intention to tell her to stop as Lana looks really happy at that moment.

"Er… Miss? Your sister is asking for you." A shop assistant wakes her up from her daze; when she was staring at Lana from outside a dress shop.

"Ah… yes, thank you… tell her I'll be there in a sec."

"Yes, of course…Miss." The staff excuse herself politely with a smile.

"She's a handful, isn't she?" Nick came up from behind Erica as sharing the same focus with her.

"Yeah… you bet. But… that's not bad, isn't it? At least now we know how it feels like to do stupid stuff just to pleased someone we care. Ah, I better gets to her fast; before she starts her nagging." Erica pats Nick's shoulder before rushing to Lana's side that was already looks unhappy for the wait.

"Yeah; Stupid stuff…" Nick murmurs quietly as his gaze were focus on Erica; as she was already smiling with Lana by her side.

"At least… tell me; what's the occasion for, will you?"

"Nick…" Finally, Lana give in and ask Nick explain it to her.

"She knew about your long meeting next week…"

"What? But, how… Wait; you told her? Didn't I specifically tell you to keep this a secret for now?" Erica switch to her working mode as she knew Nick was behind all this.

"So, what? Are you planning to go next week without me knowing anything about it?" Lana pouts he mouth as she starts to walk away; sulking.

"Lana… I didn't mean that… It's just…"

"PAAKKK!" Lana, that was walking without even focusing on her steps somehow accidently bumps into a man in front of her and falls to the floor.

"Ouch!"

"Lana!" Both Erica and Nick rushes to her as they saw what just happening.

"Are you alright, kid?" The deep voice somehow sounds familiar to Erica's ears; makes her stops on her tracks.

"Yeah… I'm fine… sorry about that…"

"Just watch where you're going next time, will you?" The man was trying to help her get up her feet but was fiercely pushed away by Nick.

"Hey! What's the big idea? Eh; Erica?" Nick, that was still helping Lana to get on her feet; stunned at the reaction on Erica's face.

"Hey! What's the big idea? Lana, are you alright?" Nick helps Lana to get up as keeps ignoring the man.

"Seems you're fine; excused me then." The man then starts to leave but stopped by Nick.

"Where do you think you're going? The lady is obviously hurt."

"Nick… It's okay, it's my fault anyway." Lana stops her friend as finally gets on her feet.

"Then, if you'll excuse me."

"Erica….?" Nick that was planning to get discuss this matter with her stunned by the reaction on Erica's face.

The man walk passes by Erica briefly before he stops at her intense stare; they eyes lock for a moment before Erica looks away bashfully.

"Mr. Han; should we get going now?" Secretary Jenny's voice reminds him of the official business he was supposed to attend there.

"Ah, yes… Let's go." He throws a last glance at Erica before moving fast to the exhibit hall, accompany by some of his staff and secretary Jenny.

As the group of people disappears from their sight, Erica finally has the guts to speak.

"Mr. Han?" Erica murmurs with a smile as she glance at the direction where they when.

"That guys was quite rude, isn't he?" Nick approaches Erica as starts complaining.

"What are you talking about, he even apologize and wanted to lend me a hand; it's you who are actually being rude to him!"

"No I wasn't! I was just trying to protect you! Don't you see how he looked at you?"

"You're just being plain paranoid, Nick!"

"Erica saw everything; he was being really weird, wasn't him?" Nick suddenly turns to Erica but got silent; she was still smiling.

"Erica?"

"Sis; are you okay? Why the sudden silent?"

"Ah… it's nothing… why don't we just get something to eat?" Erica suddenly drags Lana's arm to a restaurant sight as being tag along by Nick.

They arrive at home pretty late that evening as it was already getting dark outside. After insure that her sister was already in bed; Lana gone to the study room to meet up with Nick as planned.

"Did you see how sister been acting this evening?" Lana sits on the study table as pouting her lips.

"Yeah…"

"She looks really weird; I never saw that smile before." Nick inhale hard as hearing Lana's complaints about Erica.

"I wonder why…"

"I think I might got a hunch…"

"What?" Lana sits straight as she heard Nick's words.

"I suspect that guy you bump into was someone your sister familiar with."

"Is he… might be…"

"It could be possible; he's the same guy we're looking for…"

"Our Mr. Elevator." Both of them said it at the same time as.
