Chapter 26: Business Colleague

On the other side of A City, Gu YuChen sat in his office and rubbed his temples. He and his business partner Ouyang Jun had established the gaming company Sun Fox three years ago under an alias. The company has grown increasingly busier since the launch of the PvP game Ever Star on ios and android two years ago. They followed up on this success by setting up a business segment of hiring their own e-streamers. Now they were gearing towards the release of a new MMORPG Rose Wars.

However, lucrative Sun Fox has been, this was just a shield for Gu YuChen. He is aware that Gu Han and Song Rui will try to investigate his movements. On the outside, it appears that he is just a teenage kid interested in creating online games. Never would they be able to fathom that the true founder of the company that is taking the gaming industry by storm was not the 27 year old businessman Ouyang Jun but the 17 year old Gu YuChen. In addition, Song Rui has become much more complacent after finally finding herself 12 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. This is evidenced by the fact that there haven't been any 'accidents' occurring around GuYuChen lately.

'It is getting interesting now. That woman must think she is closer to getting Gu Co. Ltd.' sneered Gu YuChen as he read the report from his assistant Xiao Yi. 'Would it ever occur to her that I was anticipating for the birth of this son much more than her? Otherwise, how could she feel the pain of losing everything. Gu Han and Song Rui, they will pay for their crimes tenfold.' Gu YuChen coldy thought. The best type of revenge is one where you let the enemy feel as if victory is in their grasp only to pull them directly to the depths of hell.

Ouyang Jun who had been sitting across from his friend felt the sudden decrease in air pressure when he glanced upon Gu YuChen's murderous aura. It was Gu YuChen who came to meet him while he was studying at T University. He marveled at the 14 year old genius who came up with the Ever Star game and business plan for Sun Fox. Ouyang Jun had always been a brilliant student however in contrast to Gu YuChen; his achievements and merits pale in comparison. Yet he knew how to acknowledge genius and leverage other's talents. He was not greedy nor was he envious of Gu YuChen; that's why their partnership succeeded. Sometimes he was even glad to have this impassive looking teen as a good friend.

Suddenly, Gu YuChen's phone vibrated and he broke into a rare smile. "Su Ning?" asked Ouyang Jun. "Mm." was Gu YuChen's deadpan response. "You can finish up here right? I'm done with all urgent tasks." "I don't get how you can be so insistent on having dinner together with her everyday. When will you introduce us?" Ouyang Jun prodded. Gu YuChen gave him a blank look and responded with a firm "Never." "Yah! Gu YuChen! How can you treat me like this! I am still the co-founder and VP of this company! My only request is to meet Su Ning! It's not like I am not planning to woo her!"

However, Gu YuChen paid no heed to his complaints and took the elevator straight to the parking lot, his mood already uplifted.
