6 - Out to Dinner.

She looked forward to the end of her shift, always stealing a quick glance at her watch. This time she had set the date on her own terms and conditions. He was to come by by 7:00pm sharp, and he was going to take her out to dinner. Even if things didn't eventually work out , at least she'd get a free meal out of it in a nice , fancy restaurant. But Cassie still wondered what he had in store for her .

This time, she wore a grey coat , underneath, a simple scarlet dress with no jewellery. Her glossy black hair was immaculate. He came around 7:20 and Cassie sighed as she stepped in to the passenger's seat of the dark blue Aston Martin. He was wearing a leather jacket "

You can't help being late, can you?"

"It's my second nature." He shrugged and shot the car off with an expertise change of gears that startled her. Cassie said nothing until they were roaring along the road that led out of Crystal Lake.

"I thought the Unbreakables had ended their tour." Cassie questioned as he shifted gears and changed his lane. "What are you still doing in Crystal Lake."

"Me and the boys thought that we'd relax for a change , have some fun before releasing a new single."

She faced him with interest. "You're releasing a new single ? What's the Track title?"

"We haven't really gotten all the words down so we haven't concluded that part." Blaze said turning to her. "Enough about me . Let's talk about you Cass? How old are you?"

"I'm nineteen."She replied , leaning back in the car seat. "How old are you?"

"Twenty one." He made a sharp turn on a bend and pressed his booted foot on the accelerate pedal. Their eyes caught in the rearview mirror and they both grinned . He put the radio as soft music poured out livining the atmosphere. "So any plans for the future?"Blaze asked.

"Finish up my studies, get a decent paying job , get a car , get married, have two kids and settle down." She explained.

"Well that's sounds boring."

"It isn't boring." Cassie laughed as she punched him lightly on the shoulder. "Its reality. The way of the world."

"The World sucks." Blaze scoffed as his bangs played across his forehead as the midnight breeze blew through them. "Even after you get married, have kids, then what? Some people are just in a hurry to get to the end part. No one even enjoys the simple things in life anymore or take it all east and just have some fun?."

She kept silent as she pondered over his impactful statement. It was actually true. Who made all the rules , all the societal norms , the do's and dont's of reality forcing people to conform to them? No one was truly happy anymore.

"What are your plans?" Cassie said as a rejoinder , all the while noticing that they had gone out of the city limits.

"Why make plans when most times it hardly goes according to them anyway?" He said gazing enquiringly at her making Cassie redden. "I want to become a legend in the music industry, work my way to the top and stay there all the while having fun along the way." Blaze answered.

"So you don't plan on getting married, having kids, settling down?"

"Eventually those come into the picture." He spoke dryly.

"Seems you've got everything all planned out." Cassie's pushed back an errant strand of her hair and tucked it behind her ear. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see. Can you eat sea food?" Blaze asked abruptly.

"Why Sure," She said. "I can eat anything."

He concentrated on his driving and although Cassie dislike being driven , preferring to drive herself , She didn't feel one qualm of uneasiness although Blaze drove at enormous speed.

They arrived at a small restaurant that Cassie knew to be murderously expensive , situated on a lonely strip of beach. When the Maitre ď hotel saw Blaze , he came forward , and offered to take the lady's coat but Blaze beat him to it , Edging it off Cassie's shoulders as his fingertips grazed her skin. He led them to a secluded booth , away from the rest of the crowded restaurant.

Dinner had already been ordered : King-Sized prawns hanging from the wine glasses that were filled with crushed ice , lobster in a cream and champagne sauce followed by wild strawberries in kirsch.

During the meal , Blaze , sitting opposite Cassie , studied her as she took up her glass and sipped from it , her ruby red lips making their imprint on the mouth of the glass. She was naive yet carried herself with such attractive elegance. They made small talk , getting to know each other better. He asked about her family and he got a full!l report. Her parents, were retired and living upstate in Paradise City. She was an only child though.

She asked him about his hobbies and to this Blaze said he enjoyed music and movies (But if he had told the truth, he would have said sex.)

By the end of the dinner, Cassie knew almost as much about Blaze Bloom as he did himself. All the time she felt , those deep eyes searching her face , regarding the size of her breasts, looking intently at her hands.

Then suddenly he signalled to the Maitre ď hotel for the check. He took it and signed it and placed a ten dollar bill on the plate as a tip.

"You okay?" Blaze asked in concern as he put his hand around her and put her in his car.

"I'm fine." She nodded smiling. "Thanks . I had the best time tonight."

"It's already pretty late." He kitted looking up at the silvery moon in the night sky. "I'm sure you're exhausted and the drive back to the city is pretty far. How about we get a hotel."

"That's fine by me." Cassie agreed.

He got in the car and started the engine. He drove the car further down the beach road towards the sand dunes. Against a clump of palm trees was a massive hotel, facing towards the sea. Blaze helped her out of the vehicle and shut the door behind them.

"Two rooms." He told the receptionist who nodded rumbly and handed over the cards to the rooms that were available. With one hand free and the other around her waist, Blaze took out his hotel card and swiped it on the lock outside the door. It made a soft beeping sound as the door softly eased open.

He sat her on the bed and was leaving when Cassie felt a sensation run through her and she called out to him making him stopping him in his tracks.

And that was the beginning of how her life changed forever.
