A deal with the devil

Alex could not leave their side, he sat with Sandra on the bed holding the little one’s hand and staring at both mother and child, he can’t still believe they belong to him.

“Alex you need to eat something, you’ve been sitting here for hours and staring at us,” Sandra told him but he is unwilling to leave them for a second.

“Thank you,” he said to Sandra.

“For what?”

"For giving me this precious gift” he smile at the baby and took her tiny hand in his.

“Alex you need to see this” Jack came to call him and he went with Jack just to see Lincoln and his men outside.

Alex whispers to Jack and he rushed back inside.

“What is happening again?” Sandra asks Jack so tired of this.

"Is Lincoln a gain, and you just need to come with me” he took Sandra and the baby with Brian’s mother to the Underground building and locked them away before he comes back.

“I’m not here for trouble, I’m here to propose,” Lincoln said but Alex said nothing.

“Give me the girl and live a peaceful life all the days of your life,

Alex took a step towards Lincoln and his men cocked their guns, he raised his hands, and Clara whispered. “What are you doing Alex.?"

Every one of them was ready to fight.

Alex moves closer to Lincoln as he asks his men to hold on.

He walked up to him leaving no space between him and Lincoln, his nose almost touching Lincoln's nose. He spoke in a very low tone.

“What will you do if the baby is a girl?”

“What?” Lincoln was surprised.

“It can not be a girl, my scan shows a boy” he wanted to yell but brings his voice down.

“I’m telling you, she gave birth to a girl”. Alex said.

Lincoln grinned, “What makes you think I will listen to you?”

Because I know you will be wasting your time with this whole thing when I know you are looking for a male child for this project of yours.

Lincoln smirked “How much do you know of my project?”

“Everything, but I give you my word, I will give you a male child after this for your project, just let us be for now,” Alex said hoping that Lincoln let them be.

“What is Alex doing?” Clara asks Jack but he just heaves his shoulders.

“You’re a very smart boy, your father was not this smart,” Lincoln said not believing what Alex is proposing.

"I’m a businessman, after all, if you keep to your words then I will keep to mine, but first I must confirm that the child is a girl, if is true, then I will leave you to nurse her, but if is a boy then I will take him because he’s mine”.

 Alex was finding it difficult to hold his peace, but he need to do this for the sake of Sandra and the baby.

"Fine, you and just one man will be allowed in to see the baby, the rest can wait outside," Alex said and prayed that Lincoln agree.
