Café Seeventh
"Then why are you here?" asked the customer when he saw Gretta sitting casually across from him.
Not that he didn't like it, but he was nervous and would be able to do his job if there was this girl in front of him.
"Huh?" Gretta looked at the customer with a shocked expression, as a curt voice came to her ears. "I can't sit here?"
"Huh?"
If it was Gretta who was surprised earlier, this time it was the customer who looked at Gretta with a funny expression, surprised that Gretta looked funny. Until a sweet chuckle was heard and this succeeded in making the customers around them hold their breath.
"That's bad. Alright, I'm back at work, blee… stingy guest," added Greta, pretending to be annoyed, then got up from her seat and left the customer who was silent, mesmerized by the chuckle.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
Damn, my heart.
This customer had to be willing to have a sudden heart attack due to Gretta's smile, who was now busy serving new customers who had just arrived.
For a moment, this nameless customer stared in silence with his heart still pounding wildly. Before finally having to be disturbed, when his brother asked him to Quickly send him a report which unfortunately had been promised.
Tsk, just disturb it, he grunted in his heart.
And so on, he drowned with his laptop even though his eyes would occasionally glance at Gretta who was back and forth in front of him.
Time passed quickly, did not realize it was already night and Gretta decided to go home at eleven o'clock at night. It was too late and he was sure the two women would be furious to see her come home late.
However, her fear of family is defeated by her joy, when she feels the night time with the family of the owner of this café. She had just had a simple dinner, but it was filled with laughter from those who surrounded her.
Her heart warmed when Ronny's papa fed her a piece of chicken katsu, while Ayana herself fed her a spoonful of corn soup.
"Be careful, Gretta. Besides, why don't you want to be delivered? I'm worried," Ayana mumbled and escorted Gretta to the bus stop, which fortunately operated until one o'clock in the morning.
"No need, Aya. I'm grown and want to be alone," said Gretta.
Actually, not only Gretta and Ayana were there, but a young man who deliberately waited until Gretta came home.
"Wait! There's that customer there too. Hey! You're not home yet?" Gretta continued, waving her hand, until the customer moved awkwardly because he was caught.
"Where- uh! Ah! That's right." Ayana gave a bright smile after seeing her, even though she didn't know the customer's name, she still felt that this young man was not dangerous.
With a casual step to cover his embarrassment, this customer finally couldn't help but approach Gretta who was smiling brightly and Ayana who looked at her as if teasing.
Tap!
"Hi!" the customer said curtly and waved briefly too.
"Hi! You're also waiting for the bus?" Gretta asked bluntly.
"Um, yes that's what it is," replied the customer while rubbing his neck, looking far away at the other end and sighing in relief in his heart. "Ah! That's the bus," he continued to change the subject.
"It's finally here. Well! Aya, Gretta should go home first. Don't worry, I'll send you a message later," Gretta said soothingly.
"Okay," Ayana said briefly, she then turned to face the customer who was also looking at her with raised eyebrows. "Sir, can you take care of Gretta-
"Gosh! Aya. Am I a child wearing a take care-empphh…"
"Don't be loud. The bus has arrived and Mr. Nameless, please keep an eye on this naughty girl. I'm afraid she fell asleep on the bus."
Ayana quickly and nonchalantly covered Gretta's sweet kissable lips without being able to prevent it, then asked the customer for help who she called unnamed.
Ckitt!
The bus finally arrived in front of the three, Gretta got on first after hugging and stuck out her tongue briefly at Ayana. As for the customer, he glanced at Ayana and nodded slightly.
"I'll take care of her, until she reaches her destination. Take it easy," he promised and then boarded the bus and left Ayana smiling quietly.
"Wow…, I really like it," Ayana muttered with a low chuckle after that.
The bus went back to leaving the bus stop and Ayana herself walked back, leaving the bus stop, headed to the cafe that doubles as the house at the top.
On the bus, Gretta, who had just been on the bus at night, couldn't stop smiling. Her eyes gleamed at every light on the side of the road and at everything she passed.
She forgot the fact that if she could when she got home, she would be hit by the wrath of her grandmother and mother.
On the other side of the bus, there was the customer who was quietly watching how Gretta was staring at everything they passed. His brows furrowed, slightly surprised by the sparkling gaze from Gretta who seemed to have never seen him, what's on the outside of the bus.
It's strange, doesn't she ever play outside, he thought curiously.
"Hey! Mister customer, where's your house?"
Gretta who felt noticed immediately turned to the customer, who gave a slight flinch but quickly concealed it well.
"Three bus stops from here."
The two of them sat far apart, but the customer chose to stand with one, hand holding the pole, allowing him to freely stare at Gretta's face from here.
"We are only one stop apart. That means I was the first to go down," Gretta said while nodding her head in understanding. "Then why don't you sit down?" she continued asking with a frown.
Ah!
This customer rubbed his neck while averting his gaze elsewhere. "Nothing. Just likes to stand up," he explained before finally walking over and sitting next to Gretta who was facing him too. "Sit down already," said the customer with a stoic face.
"Yes, but why do you have to be beside me?" Gretta replied, looking at the customer with a folded face, "It's empty in there," she continued with a sneer.
"No. But, haven't you ever heard of the night bus?" he asked Gretta who shook her head innocently.
"Hear what?"
"Some people say, if you take the night bus sitting in a chair alone, later the devil will accompany you. How scary, you want that to happen?"
"What!? No way-
" I'd better move and stand-
"Gosh! Do not leave me. Sit here and don't go anywhere."
"No, you kicked me out with the words at the beginning."
"What? Who was expelled. Just sit here Mr. customer, I don't want to sit alone," said Gretta after finally arguing and interrupting each other.
"Okay, I'll sit here."
"Really! Sob…, thanks. I don't want to sit with the devil," said Gretta, pretending to cry.
The customer looked satisfied at Gretta, who finally sat quietly next to him. Then, both of them were silent with their own thoughts. But not for long, when this customer again scaring Gretta who screamed in terror and the unexpected happened.
"Gretta."
"Hum?"
"There's a shadow next to the window."
Kyaaa!
Grip!
Eh!?
