A Big Surprise!

Outside the hospital, two cars stood behind the other. While one car was an expensive one, the other was a little less expensive. Min Jae got discharged from the hospital in the evening. Yu Qi's parents had come to visit him. They were all now leaving the hospital thus the two cars stood in front of the hospital entrance.

Walking up to the car, Yu Qi hugged her parents while Min Jae bowed at them. They bid their goodbyes and everyone sat in their respective cars.

While Min Jae and Yu Qi sat in the expensive Rolls Royce, Her parents sat in the less expensive Nissan Altima. She looked at her parents from the back window of the car and waved at them. She held a sad face as she departed from them.

Throughout the way also, she sat there sunken in deep thoughts.

Min Jae didn't like it when he saw her sad. Seeing her upset made him feel upset.

Looking at the driver, he said "Drive to the Song's household!!"

"Yes, Sir!!" The driver agreed and took a turn to the left.

Yu Qi looked at him surprised. "Don't you want to rest??" She asked.

With a smile on his face, Min Jae replied "I can only rest after I see my wife smile." Resting his head on her shoulder, he intertwined his hand with hers and closed his eyes.

Yu Qi allowed him to rest his head "Thank you!!" She said and kept her other hand on his.

'The word 'my wife' feels good to hear.' She blushed thinking at his words.

Mr. and Mrs. Song had changed their clothes into simple nightwear when they heard the doorbell ring.

"Are we having any visitors tonight??" Mrs. Song asked Mr. Song.

Confused, Mr. Song shook his head and came out of the room to open the door.

The bell rang again and Mr. Song said "Coming!! Coming!!" He walked towards the door.

Opening it, he stood there baffled. "YU QI!!! WHAT A SURPRISE!!" He exclaimed and hugged his daughter. He even hugged Min Jae and invited them in.

"Who is it, honey??" Mrs. Song also came out of the room to see why her husband spoke so loudly.

The moment her eyes laid on her daughter seated on the sofa, Mrs. Song hurriedly rushed down and hugged her. "YU QI!! OH MY GOD!! What a big surprise!!" She kissed on Yu Qi's forehead. "We all missed you, my dear child."

Mrs. Song spoke as she saw her daughter seated in their house. It felt like years since Yu Qi was gone for the two people, who had raised Yu Qi like the apple of their eyes. Seeing her seating in front of them, Mrs. Song felt like crying. But she hid her emotions in front of her son-in-law.

"Thank you for bringing her here!!" Mr. Song said to Min Jae.

Min Jae bowed his head and waved his hands. "No!! No!! There's nothing for you to say thank you. It's her right to see her parents too." He continued again with a slight voice.

Yu Qi looked at this man who stood there bowing at her parents for whatever they were saying to him. 'He really has good manners.' She said as she saw Min Jae smiling at her parents and chatting with them in a respectful manner.

Soon, the doorbell rang again and Yu Qi knew who it was. She told her father who was going to open the door to sit down and went to open the door.

Hearing another ring, she opened the door. "TA DA!! SURPRISE!!" She screamed excitedly at her brother and hugged him. Her brother who was having mood swings after his sister had left him had come back from school with a sad face.

Suddenly, his face lit up when he felt the warmth of his sister's hug. "Unni(1), it's really you." He hugged her back and continued. "I saw men's shoes at the front door and I had assumed that some of Dad's friends had come, but I'm actually surprised to see you. DAEBAK(2)!! You really surprised me."

He said and the two entered inside. Min Chul saw Min Jae seated on the sofa. He bowed to him and greeted him politely. Seeing their interaction, Yu Qi felt hit by jealousy "You never greet me like that."

Min Chul ignored her and went inside his room to change. Yu Qi came back to sit in her place when her mom got up to go into the kitchen. "I'll get something for you both!!"

"I'll come too!!" Yu Qi also followed her mom to the kitchen. Reaching the kitchen, Yu Qi looked at her mother with an angry glare. "You don't need to treat your own daughter as an outsider."

Yu Qi angrily crossed her arms above her chest upon noticing her mother's special behavior. Her mother gave her a loving look and said nothing. She started preparing something good for the two to eat.

Seeing that her mother was cooking so many things, Yu Qi stopped her. "You don't need to cook so much. We will be going after some time." She said while looking down. Imagining of going away from her parents for the third time, Yu Qi became depressed. She knew that they wouldn't be staying over here for long.

"What do you mean?? You won't stay??" Mrs. Song asked Yu Qi while holding a knife in her hand. She was chopping the vegetables when she heard her daughter.

"Yeah!!" Yu Qi gave a reply in a low voice and didn't say anything.

She stepped forward and took the knife from her mother's hand. "Let me help you!!" She said and started chopping the vegetables.
