One door closes another opens

Kaelynn's stomach grew bigger and bigger by the month. Her attitude towards her husband changed instantly, sometimes it almost made Paxon cry.

"Honey am hungry" Kaelynn wept trying to wake Paxon from his sleep.

"This late?"

"Mm"

He turned over to her and kissed her cheeks

"Can you wait till morning...i don't think i can cook anything by this time".

Kaelynn stared at her husband for a while and threw a tantrum. Paxon's eyes where wide open as he tried to control Kaelynn

"Leave me alone!" she yelled trying to free herself from his grip.

"Okay I'll go and get you something to eat"

"Get me some lemons too" she said pouting like a child.

"Okay my wife"

He went down stairs and in few minutes he was done with the food. He placed the food and the lemons in a tray and took them to the room.

"Here you go"

Kaelynn kissed her husband and rushed towards the tray, but she didn't touch the food. She went straight to the lemons and began to savour the taste as though it were as sweet as honey

"Do you want some?" she asked her husband.

He shook his head indicating no but he regretted that decision immediately.

"Why?" she asking a tear falling down her cheeks

"I'll have one" he said taking one from her.

"Not that one....i want it" she yelled

He dropped it back and picked another but she refused to let him take that either.

"Which will i have now?" he asked getting frustrated.

"Don't bother....I'll finish it all" she said nonchalantly.

Paxon blinked repeatedly trying to hold himself. He sat down and just watched her finish the lemons when she was done she climbed on the bed and began to sleep

"What about the food?"

She opened her eyes

"Am tired. Tomorrow morning i'll eat" she yawned and slept off.

Paxon looked at the food and to his wife sleeping soundly. He took the food down to the kitchen and kept it in the refrigerator less she might ask of it in the morning.

He went back to bed, happy that he could finally get some sleep but he felt kaelynn's arm wrapped around him

"Honey.....i feel some how"

Paxon understanding what she meant stood up immediately

"I thought you said your tired?"

She sat up

"Not anymore" she replied smiling widely at him.

Kaylenn was almost due for delivery and this kept everyone in high spirits.

"Can we go shopping?" Kaeylnn asked her husband

"Why?"

"Well i think the baby needs more clothes"

"How? The last time we went shopping you almost bought the entire shop what else does the baby need?"

"More clothes" she smiled at him.

Paxon face palmed himself.

"Okay Kaeylnn go get dressed"

When kaeylnn had dressed up the couple went shopping but on their way back something terrific occurred and that left marks in their souls.

The car was on high speed but when Paxon applied the brakes they failed to work.

The car was heading for a large truck in front of them but Paxon quickly drove the car into a pit nearby.

Luckily some passerby's had called for an ambulance and they were brought out still alive but Kaeylnn was loosing blood quickly.

Inigo rushed to the hospital where his step brother had been admitted with his wife. Paxon was fine and okay but just with some minor injuries

"How is she?"

"I don't know" Paxon answered. The door opened and the doctor walked in

"Your wife is responding to treatment so no need to worry"

"What about the child?" Paxon asked

The doctor fell silent.....

"Am sorry sir but we lost the pregnancy"

Paxon's face fell

"Brother you don't have to feel this way i understand how you feel. i know this is a huge loss on you and your wife but be grateful she is still alive. Just know f one door closes another opens"

Paxon looked at his brother
