The Crowning Ceremony

After a long struggle for the throne, the third prince, Daniel de Zaire Kingscrown, won. He snatched the blood-soaked crown from his second older brother's corpse. He hopped over all the other dead bodies, making his way to the throne.

He strutted up the gold-plated stairs without losing his perfect posture. He then handed the Imperial Crown to a maid who had her head bowed down in fear while she held a cushion to place the adornment.

Finally, the throne was in view. Its legs are made of solid gold, embedded with red rubies. Its cushions are made of the rarest type of magical beast fur on the continent. This was a seat of power. If sold, it could be worth a brand new palace. His first older brother had been waiting to congratulate him on his grand feet.

The older brother was clapping cheerfully, with a bright smile on his face. Daniel rushed up to him and gave him a huge bear hug. It had been almost three years since he began his conquest to become sovereign.

His brother was his aide and confidant during this war. He trusted him with his life.

"Ludvic, I've finally done it." We've finally won! " Daniel verbalized. A light chuckle came from Ludvic. "Yes, dear younger brother, this empire is ours," he whispered. Ludvic grabbed the carbon copy of himself and guided him to the seat of power.

Daniel's face returned to his ice-cold facade. He held his head high, looking over his subjects. The servants quickly cleaned up the piles of meat bags in the throne room. They did everything to a tea, fearing that the monster that did this would do it to them as well.

On that day, the coronation ceremony was to occur. This would help Daniel stabilise his power because the church would formally recognize him. This was easy for him because his older brother had formed a relationship between him and the church. All relations were handled by his older brother. They had the same facial features so nobody could tell the difference.

Night encroached swiftly. All preparations had been made for the crowning ceremony. Daniel was reading in his room when he felt the sudden urge to vomit. He clenched his stomach tightly as he felt a burning and gnawing pain in his lower abdomen.

Daniel crouched onto the floor gasping for precious oxygen. He tried to circulate mana in his body but that made him regurgitate his lunch with a mixture of blood. He began feeling numb, losing each of his senses every second.
