After the series of notifications hit Mercury's head he began feeling like something significant was been extracted from him.

A factor of life which is called life force was been taken away from him, it is what one would call the mysterious energy that all living being has that grant them the privilege of life.

The very thing that glues one soul to the body and when we run out of it we become weaker and weaker till we start to deteriorate into old age very quickly especially if a huge amount of life force is lost or taken away.

Celesta was absorbing a bit of Mercury's life force for herself so she can prefill the necessary requirements needed to cast the forbidden reincarnation spell also known as The Sanctum of rebirth.

Right after it was drained from Mercury a giant magic circle began drawing itself on the ground as the entire room began to lit up a bright red color.

The blood that was spattered all over the room in the past all disintegrated and the cross that Celesta was bound upon also began to disintegrate as she fell to the ground.

Mercury likes the gentleman he is quickly catches her and holds her in a princess carry position as he gently places her on the ground.

The giant magic circle began to shine even more brightly as it began to shrink and wrap itself around Celesta's body causing her whole body to glow red.

Eventually, A crimson red and vantablack aura started to leak from her, and strangely it began pouring itself into Mercury as Celesta's weak voice said.

After these words were said Mercury began hearing the voice of the world or Era in his head as the greatest amount of notification he has ever heard ring off in his head.

And what shocked him the most was the fact that Celesta really kept her word when she talks about giving him everything she has left in this life as these series of notification in his head was evident to that statement.

The crimson and Vantablack like energy was pouring inside Mercury in a vast amount and quantity, so much so he felt like he was getting a serious power boost as his body began overheating as his blood began to boil fiercely.

This process continues for a while and eventually, he began producing black smoke that started to leak from his body in a vast amount and after the smoke deteriorated.

His skin became smoother, his joints felt free, his senses were more enhanced, but overall he felt liberated as his body was freer than before.

If anything he felt like he could control the flexibility of his body and move without restriction in the most inhuman ways.

Mercury was then taken out of his euphoria-like state as he began hearing the voice of Celesta who voices was rapidly deteriorating as she began speaking her final words.

"Hehe ahhh I f-feel so m-much better it been so many years since I felt such a warm sensation and the comfort of stretching your limbs is so releasing even if it's the last time I'm doing it... ahh I'm lucky I have someone to witness my last moments as well haha."

Mercury watches as how Celesta was slowly dying as the magic circle began shrinking smaller and smaller as he said.

"I can't really call this act of kindness much of a saving can I, after all, it will only be a mere 2% of your original self that will be transferred over to your next life."

"Hehe, boy 2% is quite is a lot from my p-perspective with the vast amount of knowledge I have acquired o-o-over my long life."

"After all, that mere 2% you speak of is equivalent to the knowledge of a thousand great wise men so it is sufficient and the loss of knowledge, memories, and self-awareness is a small sacrifice on my p-part."

Mercury didn't refute or say anything to shut her claims down he could see the Celesta didn't have much time left it wasn't his place to say anything anyways the least he could do was listen to her last word and witness her last moment as Celesta Battle Fang Azure Fallen Blood.

After Clesta felt the last of her skill were transferred over to Mercury she said while tilting her head over to his direction and began speaking.

"Boy a parting word of great advise b-before I pass on to my next life d-don't use black sun recklessly it is my m-most powerful offensive a-ability I have followed by 666."

"The skill only major drawback is the fact that it requires a lot of Mana for it to be as strong as mine along with the fact even with a little bit of mana it is too destructive to control so I beg of you please u-used it with care as this first and last gift I-I-I got from a dear friend of mines after her death."

Celesta's voice was losing more and more power, eventually, her voice became totally mute she lost all her energy to even move her lips.

Mercury began to see she was slowly losing consciousness so as a way to help her say her last wish Mercury attempt to use telepathy as he speaks into the dying mind of Celesta.

"Cel can you hear me."

"Ahh... Mercury is that you how wonderful to think you have a rare telepathy skill talk about the right timing are some kind of range I honestly thought for a moment there I was going to die with some lingering regrets."

Mercury could understand why she would think like that he couldn't blame her for it, but Mercury wasn't cold enough to deny her when she was saying her final request to Mercury Celesta wasn't a friend nor was she was someone he was close to if anything she was like acquaintance at best but who was he to deny such a kind girl of her last wish.

So as a way to respond to her earlier statement he replied with the most logical words.

"You were kind enough to pass down all your abilities to me when you didn't really have to, I'm not the best when it comes death, but I'm not cold enough to watch someone with a kind heart die alone so I will take on the responsibility or hearing your last words.

"I will also grant you your final request if it is reasonable."

These words coming from Mercury took Celesta by surprise she went silent for a little as she said.

"Mercury you really are a kind person thank you, but enough of that, I don't have much time left as you can see my body is now in a motionless state meaning it is already dead, leaving only my mind but even that doesn't have much time left I would say 2 minutes give or take before the rebirth spell does its thing."

Celesta said with a happy tone in her voice which confused Mercury so much so he had to ask.

"You know Cel you are still technically dying as only a portion of your original self is been transported how can you be happy even if it's a situation where a portion of yourself is been transported."

"I see, so ye was thinking of something like that eh... well let's just say ye has granted thou two wishes I have long for."

"Which is?"

"Well, the first is the fact the I have grown tired of battle, I see the people I have grown attached to eventually leaves me behind time and time again."

"Eventually I started to disregard the memory of all of them as if they were nothing to me you know I just want a way to free myself from that pain, and been confine in here made me realize something very important."

"That you can only see the world for what it truly is after you lost everything you hold dear, you know many of days I think of my fellow clansman who all fought and died a pitiful death to Lilith."

"I use to show little to no emotion to them and ironically I even forgot their faces after been confined here for so long, and now that I think about the people I used to treat with bias were the people I wanted to see the most, so in short, you granting me my wish of death and life is mercy and a punishment I so much want."

"Just like how I have forgotten them I will also be forgotten the me that exists now will cease to exist and the next me that is to come will be an entirely different person from my current self in short a fraction of my soul will live on while the remaining will fade away."

"I see so this is your way of paying for your sins, well I don't really know you like that, so I can't really say I would feel anything for you after you die, but you did leave a good impression on me even if you are the devil it ironic in a way to think the devil had a heart and was mature enough to realize her mistake it kind of beautiful in a way."

"Hahah... you know the devil was once an angel right."

"Well I won't patronize you for the mistake you have done in the past at least you are not a complete monster like Lilith so tell me what the second wish that I have granted."

"Well, it's more like I want you to grant it for me if it's not too much to ask."

Mercury looks at her left hand and saw she was holding something extremely tight like she was protecting it with everything she had left it was amazing since she was holding it so tight while been dead Mercury instantly know that whatever was in that balled-up fist was something of great importance to Cel as he said.

"Yea I see it what about it?"

"Inside is a locket of me and a very dear friend of mine that was almost like a sister to me I want you to go to her home country and bury it beside her grave which is located in the Yggdrasil forest you will eventually reach the domain of the chaos elves where her grave resides."

"They are rather overprotective of their domain as it has been their home since the dawn of creation but they mean no harm so to not cause a fight please say the following password they will instantly know what it means [Life is a blessing we take for granted] Say these word while showing them a small black sun for additional proof of who you are they will let you in immediately."

Mercury was paying keen attention to Celesta's last request as he said.

"And where exactly is this grave located in the forest."

"Under the Tree of Life Yggdrasil, you will notice her grave immediately since it is the only one there the grave will mark the name, Venus Aoife."

"I see I will do just that is there anything else you ask of me your voice is fading I can only think it because you are about to truly die and be reincarnated."

"Yes, can you also put black roses on both of our graves I'm not a fan of flowers but she loved the color black, and roses were probably my favorite type of flowers and black is also my favorite color as well."

"And one more thing the pair of earing on my ears you can take them as yours think of it as a memento, and also try to find the last kingdom Vlades it should be somewhere in the Levithan sea last I heard from Lilith the leviathan take the places as his domain now but I want all the treasure there to be yours."

Mercury had a smile on his face as he said.

"Noted I will do everything you ask of me you don't have to worry you can rest now Celesta Battle Fang Azure Fallen Blood".

"Haaa... you saying my name like that actually bring back good memories me and Venus hahah thank for that well Mercury Van Anguish I bid thee farewell I'm starting to feel really sleepy ahh... I see a bright light haha what a great feeling."

Celesta was losing consciousness or more like she was fading away from existence but before she passed on she said to Mercury

"Oh and one more thing I hope we can become the greatest of friends in my next life although I won't be the same as I am now."

Mercury smiled inwardly to himself as he said.

"Well please take care of me when we meet again I also bid thee farewell, and I hope I was able to settle your current self regrets please be happy in paradise, and may you meet your long last friend where ever she is."

"Yea well Farwell Mercury Van Anguish I thank ye for everything it really means a lot to me take care of yourself."

From their Celesta voice gently and softly fade away as she said her last words and surprisingly Mercury just realize she died with a smile on her face honestly Mercury felt happy for her even if the current her was officially dead.

So he took off Celesta earrings which were white cross earing with a black goat at the center of them he had never pierce his ears before but he didn't hesitate to pierce them both right here and now and right after he did that a notification clicks off in his head.

From there Mercury tried to get the locket from her hand, but it was held tightly and after a couple of minutes of struggle he finally got it as the locket was full black in color and when he opened it he saw two beautiful girls hugging each other as the first one was extremely beautiful.

She had long bright blue hair and yes her skin was pale white she had on the earing he had on now along with purple lipstick and just like he thought Celesta's beauty didn't fail to Lilith in any way whatsoever.

While the other one was a dark elf she had silver hair and yellow eyes her skin look really smooth and she looks taller than Celesta judging by how the picture was taken.

After looking at the picture in the locket Mercury close it as he put his hand in a praying-like position as he said.

"Rest in peace Celesta and farewell till we meet again in this life, and thank you for everything as well I will be careful on how I use Black sun, and once more thank you."

Mercury then places a white sheet he found in the room over Celesta's body as he walks out the door but before he left he takes one more good look at Celesta's body and smiles as he said.

"Till we meet again friend".

All that was heard was the sound of a door slowly closing and someone walking away from it this was the day that Mercury became the new devil as he would later be called The black sun Asmodeus as a nickname.
