Did I transmigrated into a novel?!” Join the world where love knows no Boundary. ————————————————————————————————————-———————— Behind us a big commotion arose and we were tossed to the sidelines like the forgotten rag dolls. Cameras flashing. Reporters hovering the place to get the perfect shot, each scraping for even the tiniest glance at the powerful figures that emerged out of their cars. I was left in awe of the dazzling socialite ladies as they strutted across the carpet, ignoring everyone they deemed beneath them. Their million dollar dresses and jewelleries leaving everyone with envy. Accompanying them were the well - known businessmen whose money never seemed to run out. Following behind them came the well - known actors and actresses. They waved and smiled while the onlookers screams of joy and appreciation for them filled the environment. I nudged Rebecca and whispered “Can I go back now?” “No way! It’s a masquerade ball. We can be anyone we want.” She replied while smiling ear to ear. “Ok” I thought as my confidence level piped up a bit. No one was gonna know that a complete outsider had entered their territory. . . . "Stop! I don’t want to dance." "We’re in a masquerade ball! That’s what people do. Dance." "But...I can’t." He gave a little chuckle enjoying our little fight before he intervened, "It’s ok. I can teach you. Just follow my steps." "Common Hayls. Go on." "Alright, I’ll go," I said, giving her a look. "Have fun!" She gave a soft cheer before focusing all her attention back into her plate. He held my left hand and gently led me towards the dance floor. The music soon changed to something more romantic. The magic of love by Russel Watson and Lionel Richie started playing in the background. Soon all the couples started dancing together. "Are you ready?" The man whispered in my ear making me blush. "Ready as I’ll ever be," I replied hesitantly. "Don’t worry. I’m here, just follow my lead." He gently held onto my waist with his right hand and grabbed onto my right hand with his left. I lightly placed my left hand onto his right shoulder and we started our slow dance. "Right, left, Glide, glide…" Along with our dance, he kept whispering the steps to me and soon we were in sync with each other. We spun, laughed, and before the end of our dance, the music went into slow beat again. We softly danced to the rhythm as I basked in his rich and beautiful fragrance. It was all truly a magical moment. . . . Hello everyone I’m Bandana & this is my very first Novel. I hope you’ll all enjoy 1 chapter up daily Instagram - @author_br Discord - b_r2 #2557

You're late!

I'm suddenly distracted from my thoughts as the knock on my door continues.

"I'm coming." I say and quickly run to open the door.

"Hi Hayley, I'm so glad we're in the same team." A very cheerful voice speaks; out of breath.

"Amelia! You're back."

"Yeah, I had some work to do downstairs. Anyways, since I'm here now, let's go have lunch together." She offers but I became a little hesitant as I already had a lunch offer from Prince Elijah.

"Others are waiting just outside. Now come on." She says and drags me along with her to join the others.

"Guys, meet Hay…"

"We already know." Dean cut in between her sentence. "I'm hungry, I'll pass out if we don't move already!" He complained, making us all fall into a laughing fit.

'Sorry Prince E, I can't join you for lunch today but I promise I'll treat you to a nice dinner someday. H' I pressed send and followed the group towards the cafeteria. Once we stepped inside, the room was filled with the bustling sound of staff chattering amongst themselves, some in the tables gossiping about their workload, some chatting with the café lady and some boiling water or what not. Soon, all my team members found someone to chatter with and I was left awkwardly standing next to them until Mundy came to my rescue.

"Tara and Ben, meet Hayley. She's Prince Elijah's new PA and my new friend."

"It's nice to meet you Hayley. I'm sure you're gonna enjoy it here, we work in the marketing department and I'm also Lucas's twin." Tara says and offers me her hand. I shake it in return. "And I'm Ben." He shakes my hand.

"It's nice to meet you two as well." I say to them. Tara seemed like a genuine person as she smiled in return. She had honey blonde hair which was tied in a high ponytail and a clear pair of glasses adorning her face. And well Ben, he seemed like a pretty chill dude, short blonde hair and the only person in the room with casual attire.

"Come sit with us, the boys are bringing food for us this time around. You see, we ten have made a pact that every lunchtime the boys team and the girls team will buy the food on alternate days." Mundy tells me and leads us towards the table by the large window. Adricia, Jennis and Chloe sat on the opposite side, Amelia sat on the edge and so did Tara and Mundy. Seeing me struggling to pick a seat Mundy pulls out a chair from next to her. However, before I could take a seat my phone buzzed in my pocket and I took it out to see it's none other than Prince Elijah "Clean freak Prince". I slowly bring it up to my ears, still feeling guilty about skipping out on his lunch invitation.

"Hello…"

"You're late!" The caller on the other end huffs, I could tell he was angry from his tone.

"I sent you a text earlier, um...you didn't receive it?" I quietly answer him back but he doesn't take long to give me an answer.

"I know nothing of such text. Foods are getting cold so I expect you to arrive within the next five minutes." He says and ends the call, leaving me utterly flabbergasted.

"Are you alright, you seem a bit flustered." Amelia questions and Mundy offers me a glass of water.

"No no, I'm fine. It's just that I forgot I still have some work to do for Prince Elijah and he wants me to do them now." I quickly reply back and excuse myself. "I'm sorry I have to go now, I'll see you all after lunch."

"No worries, see you later." Tara replied and everyone else around the table followed suit.

I get up to leave but I feel a foot under me and fall face forward, embarrassing myself in front of everyone. I hear a sudden gasp and I could feel the crowds looking at me but luckily the girls came to my rescue.

"Oh my God, are you alright Hayley." Amelia ran to my side and helped me up. Mundy and Tara help me pick up my bag and fix my heels for me. "Thank you guys…" I bow my head at them, lessening the embarrassment. The crowds went back about their own business as if they hadn't just noticed my fall. I thank god for that. I tidy up my outfit and head towards Prince Elijah's office, however, not before hearing a remark from none other than Chloe. "See I told you guys what a drama queen she is, she thinks she's too good for us. No wonder she made such an excuse to go seduce the Prince. Hump!" Chloe complained to the group. I'm sure she was the one who made me fall. I instantly felt an extreme hate for her but I let it not affect my mood in any way. After all it wasn't my fault she lost the job, maybe she just got unlucky.

"Shut up Chloe, just admit you are jealous!" I hear Adricia yell at her and the rest of the team members seemed to agree with her. I smiled inwardly, as long as the rest of the group didn't hate me I will be completely fine.

I soon reach Prince Elijah's office, I nervously knock on his door and within two taps Mr Robert opens the door for me.

"Miss Hayley." He says and bows his head.

"You don't have to...it's only me.."

"Oh...but he must."

I hear a deeper voice of Prince Elijah who was walking towards the two of us and before I could apologize properly he takes the two of us towards the table full of food. The table was once again filled with some very appetizing food with many different varieties. There were sandwiches, pies, mini pizzas, tacos, daal soup with rice and some little vanilla slices. But the only thought running in my mind right now is, if I eat with him daily like this then I'm going to end up being very fat!

Once the three of us settle down he speaks. "The food is cold."
