Did I transmigrated into a novel?!” Join the world where love knows no Boundary. ————————————————————————————————————-———————— Behind us a big commotion arose and we were tossed to the sidelines like the forgotten rag dolls. Cameras flashing. Reporters hovering the place to get the perfect shot, each scraping for even the tiniest glance at the powerful figures that emerged out of their cars. I was left in awe of the dazzling socialite ladies as they strutted across the carpet, ignoring everyone they deemed beneath them. Their million dollar dresses and jewelleries leaving everyone with envy. Accompanying them were the well - known businessmen whose money never seemed to run out. Following behind them came the well - known actors and actresses. They waved and smiled while the onlookers screams of joy and appreciation for them filled the environment. I nudged Rebecca and whispered “Can I go back now?” “No way! It’s a masquerade ball. We can be anyone we want.” She replied while smiling ear to ear. “Ok” I thought as my confidence level piped up a bit. No one was gonna know that a complete outsider had entered their territory. . . . "Stop! I don’t want to dance." "We’re in a masquerade ball! That’s what people do. Dance." "But...I can’t." He gave a little chuckle enjoying our little fight before he intervened, "It’s ok. I can teach you. Just follow my steps." "Common Hayls. Go on." "Alright, I’ll go," I said, giving her a look. "Have fun!" She gave a soft cheer before focusing all her attention back into her plate. He held my left hand and gently led me towards the dance floor. The music soon changed to something more romantic. The magic of love by Russel Watson and Lionel Richie started playing in the background. Soon all the couples started dancing together. "Are you ready?" The man whispered in my ear making me blush. "Ready as I’ll ever be," I replied hesitantly. "Don’t worry. I’m here, just follow my lead." He gently held onto my waist with his right hand and grabbed onto my right hand with his left. I lightly placed my left hand onto his right shoulder and we started our slow dance. "Right, left, Glide, glide…" Along with our dance, he kept whispering the steps to me and soon we were in sync with each other. We spun, laughed, and before the end of our dance, the music went into slow beat again. We softly danced to the rhythm as I basked in his rich and beautiful fragrance. It was all truly a magical moment. . . . Hello everyone I’m Bandana & this is my very first Novel. I hope you’ll all enjoy 1 chapter up daily Instagram - @author_br Discord - b_r2 #2557

Ain’t you dating my big bro Elijah?

Once the three of us settle down he speaks. "The food is cold." I look down anxiously and manage to speak some jumble of words. "Sorry about that...haha…"

"I'll heat them up right away." Mr Robert speaks and takes them to his inbuilt kitchen. The room soon fills with the sound of a microwave.

"How was your first day? Did anyone bully you?" He asks and I look at him, surprised.

"You're not mad at me?"

"Of Course not." He laughs. "I received your text. I'll be holding onto your dinner invitation." He says finally.

"Oh...great. I'll remember that. And by the way, the dinner will be to thank you for the Tulips. I loved them." I reply

"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm lost." He acts confused.

"I can recognize your handwriting, you know back in uni I was an expert handwriting identifier..if that's what you call it." I tell him proudly and he grins, amused.

"So you are a human HTR, that's very interesting. You should've added that on your CV, I would've employed you right away." He chuckled as he brushed his hand over his soft dark hair.

"I talked with Mr Khan." I say after a while and he gives me his knowing grin.

"What did he have to say this time?"

"Just that he doesn't seem very happy at the way you have been ignoring him."

He looks pleased with my reply and doesn't say much after that.

Once our atmosphere once again became silent I talk to him about a more serious topic about the restaurant conflict, which I wanted his insight on. However he tells me he leaves the decision fully to me so I don't go into the details.

Talking with him like this our time passed quickly and we were soon interrupted by Mr Robert and a young boy carrying a tray full of food. They set it down and we helped ourselves as Robert began to introduce me to his young assistant.

"This is James, our little assistant." He spoke, pointing towards him and pulling out the chair in the process. "He came in for half a day today to help out. If you're in need of some help and can't locate either me or Prince Elijah then he's the other person you can call." He added ruffling the little boy's hair.

"I'll keep that in mind. Pleasure to meet you James." I hold my hand out to him and he shakes it in return. "Pleasures all mine Sis in law." He replies in a laid back manner. "Your little brother in law is always here to help." He adds, making me more tongue tied.

"Um...I don't know your brother?"

"Ain't you dating my big bro Elijah?" He questions me back looking even more confused than me. I look over to Prince Elijah but he stares right back at me, not at all willing to help and I receive the same treatment from Mr Robert. I had no choice but to correct him myself.

"No, that's far from the truth." I reply back and he looks at me with a smug expression that said he did not believe a word I said.

"I think I know my big bro well, he never invites anyone out for lunch without any good reason, especially not girls." He looks like he is no older than ten years but the way he speaks is like that of a full grown adult. Sitting next to him Mr Roberts lets out a few small sniggers and even Prince Elijah looks like he's enjoying the show. I was the only one left in an uncomfortable position.

"I..I'm just his personal assistant." I say to him and he looks at me seriously this time, his innocent eyes stare at me as he puffs out his cute little cheeks.

"Ohh, so you're the lady my mummy told me about." He speaks after a while and continues. "You're prettier than my nanny sis in law but I think she might get jealous if she sees you. I always tell her she's the prettiest but even my mummy is prettier than her *hehe*." He says, sounding more like a child now. I laugh at the way he spoke and he looks at me with accusing eyes. "I'm letting this pass just cause you're my sis in law." He pouts, looking even more cute so I pat his head softly and apologise to which he quickly goes back to being happy again.

"Now leave your sis in law alone, her lunch break is almost over." Prince Elijah orders him and he quickly returns to his seat and quietly starts eating his meal. I look at Prince Elijah, surprised at his words but he doesn't seem to notice himself about the way he addressed me so I let it not go into my head. The four of us quickly finished our lunch filled with some small talks. Mr Robert tells me how impressed he is with my work today. Although, I feel as though I hardly did anything worthy of praise but I thank him anyway. He gives me more tasks for the day which he informs me is already updated in the system, making it a lot easier for me to follow up on.

By the end of our lunch, the clock reads 1pm indicating the end of our lunch hour.

"Thank you for lunch." I bow to Prince Elijah and Mr Robert and start getting ready to leave. I excuse myself from the three boys and leave out the door. While walking down the hallway I bump into a girl my age, she had gorgeous long black hair which was perfectly curled at the bottom. She had on a casual attire; a casual summer dress which flawlessly brought out her features.

"Sorry, excuse me." I say and walk past her however she stops me mid track.

"Can you please help me? I seem to be a bit lost." She says, her voice sounding so rich, so posh and yet sweet at the same time.
