27 Free day

"Chao…" Yitian said while playing SoL with Chao. The new Christmas event in the game made him think about something. They had holidays in school and had nothing else to do then playing. Yitian already finished his project and only waited for review by his mentor. And Chao was done with his papers, too. So Yitian got an idea.

"Left!" Yitian quickly jumped to the left and aimed at the player there. He used his shooting skill and one magical to kill him. Then he drank some potions to get his HP back. Since there was no healer in their group.

Chao managed to find a few new players to join their group arena battles. And because both Chao and Yitian were good at PvPs, players were battling to be in their group. But there had been one problem. Chao's test. This stupid lone wolf wanted everyone, who wanted to join, to battle him, PKing him. That scared most of the people away, only a few were brave enough, and even fewer were able to hold on to him for more than twenty seconds. And for Chao that was not good enough to be by his side.

"What did you want?" Chao asked, after we finished the PvP battle, our prestige grew up again and because these new players didn't perform badly, Chao befriended them, ready to call them anytime. Yitian thought for a minute and then took up the courage and asked.

"Do you have time on Saturday in a week?" Chao looked up and closed his eyes while leaning back. He let his eyes rest for a moment and answered, having eyes still closed.

"Sure. There is no contest that day. Do you have something in mind? Is some event happening? Did I forget something?" he asked and Yitian laughed.

'This guy was such a geek.' Yitian thought and stood up from the chair. He noticed Chao flinching so he went to him and helped him massage his temples. Sometimes when he was tired his eyes and head started to hurt. And lately, Chao has been tired a lot. He had exam time coming up soon, when he came home, he was working in the game to be the best player, and actually, to recruit some really good players. He wanted to start a new guild full of skilled people. Per his words, he wanted to reign this game.

"No, nothing in the game. Just I'm coming back from a field trip on Friday and I want to take you out as thanks." Yitian smiled when Chao abruptly opened his eyes and straightened up. They were close to each other, a little too close, so YItian moved back to his chair next to Chao.

"You are going away?" He asked, shocked. Yitian frowned. He told him about it or did he not? He was still frowning and thinking when something soft hit him to his forehead. Yitian woke up from the trance he was in.

"Yes, I told you about it. I need to leave for five days. I definitely told you, because I'm told Lei ge to hire a temporary cook. So, neither you nor Yixing would starve." Yitian was nodding while answering. It was true. Chao squinted and tried to remember. He vaguely knew that Yitian was saying something about leaving during dinner, a long time ago. But Chao brushed it off as nothing important. Because Yitian would never leave for too long. But. FIVE DAYS? That was too long.

Last time, after he lost contact with him, his nightmares started the next day. Would it be the same again? Would his nightmares start?

"You can't go…" he said quietly, looking to the ground. "I won't let you go." He stood up and walked to his room.

Chao wasn't pissed or anything like that. He just needed to be alone, to think. To coop with the thought of being alone again. But his time alone wasn't long enough, because a quiet knock on the door disrupted his not so bright thoughts. And because Chao knew who it was, he allowed him inside.

"What's the problem? Yixing will be here with you." Yitian said as he was sitting on the bed next to Chao.

"I will be alone. Yixing is always away." Chao laid on his back and was looking at the ceiling. Soon a pair of glowing amber eyes appeared before him and asked the crucial question.

"But he will come back every night. So, what's the real problem? Why you don't want me to leave. Why are you so afraid of being alone?" Chao sighed.

'Guess it's the time.' he thought and sat up on the back and turned to face Yitian.

"I have problems… sleeping," he said and was reluctant to continue, but he saw Yitian's eager gaze, and once more he felt that Yitian would understand. Thinking how to phrase properly what he wanted to say, there was a bit of awkward silence. But Yitian never said anything, just waited and looked questioningly.

"I have nightmares. When I'm left alone, my past will come to haunt me." He looked at Yitian waiting for any signal to stop but faced an understanding pat on his shoulder saying welcome to the club.

"I have nightmares too, sometimes I'm getting beaten over and over again. So I get your feelings. What are your nightmares about? Is it your past, or just fantasy?" Chao knew about Yitian's nightmares, sometimes he would be woken up by his screams in the middle of the night but Yitian's dreams ceased lately.

"You probably guessed that my mother is dead, right?" Chao gathered up the courage when Yitian nodded. "She died when I was five years old…" he said and shocked Yitian with his next sentence more than anything. "And I killed her."

Chao then said the whole story of his childhood to Yitian, who was just silently listening and sometimes nodding. After Chao finished, Yitian just pulled him in a warm embrace and said just a few words, that made Chao smile.
