174 Haven't Realized it

"It's pretty late so you two should stay over for the night... You two can stay in Fyre's old room. Jules and I always made sure to clean it so rest assured, everything's prepared since the moment we learned you two were coming," Mrs. Long said happily which Fyre and Tian Zi agreed to. Truthfully, there was a huge mansion waiting for them to stay in, but declining such an offer would be rude. Fyre also knows how much his parents missed him so how couldn't say they're going to leave already even if they were planning to stay in his hometown for the next three days to rest and relax for a while before going back to their hectic schedule.

They've been avoiding it for more than a week now simply because they both didn't like attention. Luckily, Fyre had his heat so they had a reason not to address it for now because it was much more draining for them than dealing with a psychopath.

"Thanks Mom, Zi and I will stay then," Fyre smiled, causing the middle-aged woman and her husband to be ecstatic since they probably thought they wouldn't stay. Fyre just smiled at his parents' reactions before they finally said their goodnights and hugged each other.

Meanwhile, finally inside his room, Tian Zi looked around and was in awe even though there was pretty much nothing in the room aside from a bed, closet, and study table. Still, he could imagine how the young Fyre sat on his study table to study and lay down on his bed when he's tired for the day. Tian Zi wished he could have seen it himself but alas he couldn't. In this instance, he wished his older brother's made-up story were true because if they were truly childhood friends, he would have grown up with Fyre and he would have seen him when he was young. He would have hung out with him and it would have been wonderful if that was true.

"Hey, what are you looking around at? This room had nothing special at all," Fyre frowned at his lover. He was still upset about the Alpha looking at his family album despite relentlessly telling not to but then again, he can't blame Tian Zi since he had seen his too. This would just make them even, although he was quite upset since he had not let anyone see him when he was young and dressed as a girl.

"No way! This room is filled with your memories, I can even smell your faint scent in here. It just proves that you stayed here a lot when you were younger... At times like this, how I wish older brother Hanlu's story was true," Tian Zi said. There was a lot he wanted to say but he halted his words not knowing how his lover would react to his words.

"I've been gone half of my life, how can there be my scent left here!? You must be imagining it," Fyre blushed. While he must say Mo Hanlu's story was like a fairytale, a part of him also kinda wished it was true. Unfortunately, it simply wasn't.

"I might be imagining it but that aside, if we grew up together I would have seen you wearing cute bows and dresses," Tian Zi added with a teasing manner that Fyre's blush immediately faded as he glared at his lover. Tian Zi felt bitter that this unknown kid named Martin had seen Fyre's precious past but he won't dwell on it now since Fyre is already his and soon will become his wife forever.

"Y-You!" Fyre gritted furiously as his blushed returned, but as if the steam inside his head dissipated, he sighed and crossed his arms. "You're going to sleep on the pull-out bed tonight," Fyre suddenly said, which immediately shocked the Alpha.

"W-Wha? Hey~ the bed's huge enough for the both of us though..." Tian Zi complained while looking at the bed. Even though it was indeed smaller than they usually shared back at home, if they stay close to each other, the bed's huge enough for the both of them. Why does he have to sleep on the pull-out bed? He just teased the Omega a bit but he did not expect to deal with a punishment right away. That was so unfair.

"What are you saying? The bed's clearly not enough for the both of us so you're gonna have to deal with the pull-out bed," Fyre insisted scoffing. He originally had the same thought with Tian Zi about sleeping in the same bed but he's feeling petty so he changed his mind. How dare Tian Zi tease him about something he didn't want to remember again.

"You're just mad because I kept teasing you about your childhood but I'm not going to take it back though since what I said was true. You were lovely and adorable, period. I'd honestly pay any amount to see that view, hehe," Tian Zi continued to tease, making Fyre blush, acting angrier even though deep inside he was just embarrassed about it.

"Tsk. Whatever. I'm going to clean up and rest," Fyre rolled his eyes before he proceeded to go to his closet and as expected, their toiletries were there along with his old clothes. 'Urgh, why do Mom and Dad still keep these? They should've thrown it away or given it to charity,' Fyre thought looking at his old clothes neatly folded on one of the bigger shelves and he really didn't know whether to laugh or cry because he knew exactly the reason why they couldn't let go of such clothes and that broke Fyre's heart but at the same time he felt touch knowing how much he was valued by his parents.

"You can come down to me if you feel lonely though," Tian Zi continued to tease but when he saw the Omega taking a bit too long at the closer, he walked closer to him before hugging Fyre from behind.

"What are you staring at over there?" Tian Zi asked even though he could clearly see the file of clothes that were obviously for children. Of course, it didn't take a genius for Tian Zi to realize who's clothes it was but he chose to ignore it seeing that it wasn't the right time for his teasing.

"Ack. Let go..."

"I won't. Why are you so moody today? If I know, you just want me to give you attention," Tian Zi said, tightening his hug. Of course, he wasn't that dense. He knew how all of this was affecting Fyre especially when the Omega was already feeling so much guilt all these years that's why Tian Zi's making things a little bit lighter. He'd rather have Fyre get upset with him because of his teasing than having his lover overthink about things that he shouldn't.

"Hmmp! Who wants your attention? You're so full of yourself," Fyre quickly countered, noticing how the Alpha's been really annoying suddenly when earlier this morning he was the most visibly nervous meeting up with his parents.

"Hehe, but you still love me, right? Anyway, why don't we go ahead and clean up together like usual?" Tian Zi suggested and without waiting for Fyre's reply, he pulled Fyre away from the closet and towards the door. Since there's no bathroom in the room, both of them would have to go out to the shared one just outside the room.

"H-Hey, quit pushing me. What if Mom and Dad see us? Have you no shame at all?! Is my parents' house!"

"They're already asleep. And besides, it's not like we're going to do something so hurry up. Didn't you say you wanted to clean up and rest already?" Tian Zi insisted with a smile until eventually they're both outside of the room. And because it was just a small house, the outside of the room was already the living room, dining, and kitchen all connected together. It was all dark due to the time and the only light that was on was coming from the kitchen.

"See? They're asleep," Tian Zi whispered and for some reason, even though Fyre lived in the house half of his life, he felt somewhat nervous sneaking around with his lover. For some reason, even though they weren't doing anything bad, he's feeling guilty, "Let's quickly head inside," Tian Zi urged again and softly pushed Fyre to the bathroom where they eventually reached and locked the door.

"Y-You better not do anything weird or else I'll cut down your family jewels," Fyre glared, making Tian Zi put both his hands up as if surrendering.

"Hey~ I told you I won't. I'm not that indecent, you know."

"You better! This is not your house or your parents house," Fyre warned because if by any chance Tian Zi's going to do something and he's not able to hold his voice, his parents—including their neighbors—would definitely know. His parents house is small and cheap so any moderately loud noise will pass through the walls and to their neighbors house. He still wants to happily go outside without any worry the next day so he definitely won't do something that he'd regret later on.

"Jeez, I know I know. Can we go ahead and wash up now?" Tian Zi helplessly conveyed before urging Fyre to the shower room. In the end, Fyre had no choice but to go along because the Alpha was being too insistent. Thankfully, true to himself. Tian Zi didn't do anything to him aside from a few kisses so they finished quickly and soon lay on the bed.

"If you feel lonely over there, you can go down here and lay on my arms. I promise I won't tease you about it," Tian Zi reminded. It's been 10 minutes and the lights were already off but none of them hadn't fallen asleep yet.

"Maybe it's you who's lonely though. I'm perfectly fine here," Fyre raised one of his eyebrows. He was about to fall asleep but the Alpha just had to interrupt him.

"Okay fine, just telling you in case you're just feeling shy about it."

"Oh my God, Zi~ Just sleep, okay?! I'm not coming down there nor you're coming up here," Fyre finally bursted to which Tian Zi didn't reply to. Fyre took that as a sign that his lover had finally given up but of course, in the middle of the night, that didn't stop the Alpha from lifting the Omega in his sleep and carried down to his bed where they both snuggled close due to the small space.

"Goodnight, my Princess," Tian Zi whispered softly before he leaned down to kiss his beloved's forehead.

At the same time. With a cigarette in between his fingers, Lucien puffed another batch before he finally stood from the bed where Mitchel Sky was lying exhausted from their intense activity. Since his plan had been spoiled due to what had happened, it was Mitchel who received all of the Alpha's frustrations and they had been doing it every time Lucien was in the mood.

At first Mitchel was happy about it but it only took one time for her to realize that the Alpha was not seeing her at all and instead was seeing someone else especially when he's drunk where he's surprisingly being so gentle.

"I'm leaving for a week. If you want to go out, make sure no one is going to recognize you," Lucien said with his cold and monotonic tone. Mitchel already had a feeling but it's only now that she felt a hundred percent positive about it. And although Lucien would deny it, Mitchel knew that the Alpha's obsession towards Fyre Long stemmed from his feelings towards him. Lucien might say that he just wanted the fellow Omega as his plaything but in her opinion, that definitely wasn't the case.

Lucien has feelings for Fyre Long. He had fallen in love with him when they were way younger and he had just not realized it yet. The fact that he had not forgotten him after so many years and his unusual soft and gentle treatment towards her when he was seeing Fyre in her, Mitchel was positive and even though it hurt her so much, he can't help but accept reality.

Lucien was never going to be with her. Even if he did, she wouldn't be able to have all of him.

"Okay," Mitchel replied weakly as she watched the Alpha leave the room and closed the door behind him. When Lucien was no longer inside, she sat up and sighed before she touched her stomach.

"He's never going to accept us if he knew, right? There's a high chance he'd want us gone if he discovered you," Mitchel whispered, knowing that as of this moment, Lucien was once again planning to take back what he thought was his to begin with.
