"Doctor... we're very agitated." Cameron intruded, not minding his manners at that point. When he was agitated he lost his patience very easily and from the way his fists clenched I could say he was using all his nerves to hold back and not scold the doctor for leaving us hanging that long.

"Mr. Collins, please be patient and mind your manners." The doctor said, he pushed the paper with the result closer to me and I let my gaze fall to read the field.

My vision almost blurred and for some fractions of seconds, I even forgot how to read and had to focus to get my full attention on it.

I skimmed through the paper and finally read the final line:

PREGNANCY BLOOD TEST RESULT: 

negative

"Negative." I said it aloud facing Cameron.

"Oh..." he commented, his eyebrows frowned down and contrary to what I expected he didn't smile nor hugged me with joy.
