Change Of Plans

As soon as Lily walked out of the store, she dialed an acquaintance's number.

"Hello? Uncle Zhuang, this is Lily. Yes, it has been a while. I have a small favor I would like to ask of you. It's like this. Yesterday night, there were two criminals suspected of burglary. They are currently held in the 60th precinct station. My friend, Ginny, whom was contacted last night, was too kind to say anything."

"I, on the other hand, do not tolerate anyone bullying my family. Those two women have been harassing her for years already. My friend has moved a few times just to avoid these stalkers from prying her apartment door opened. They've robbed her house before and even used their relative relationship as an excuse for such barbarian behavior."

"You've met my friend during our parties. She is a talented, young lady who does not deserve to be treated like that. These blood suckers need some lessons. If possible, can you put them with cell mates who have violent histories? Oh, especially Maya. She's the best one who welcomes newbies with a free face toilet wash."

Lily's hand tightened around Lin Que's palm as she continued venting out her rage in the calmest way possible. "Also, Cassandra Ng's husband was also harassing Ginny and even threatened her in public. While his wife and daughter are kept behind bars, please review his business history. The way he takes care of his business is highly questionable considering the products he sells are poorly managed."

Five minutes later, Lily dragged Lin Que to look for Ginny and Alan. When they found Ginny, her face was buried in Alan's chest. From her angle, Lily couldn't distinguish whether she was crying or feeling upset. Either way, Ginny's mood must not be great after encountering her disgusting uncle.

As she approached Ginny, she wondered what she might be thinking about at the moment. Lily took a seat next to her and rubbed her back in a bobbing manner.

"Ginny, don't feel bad. It's not your fault that you have shitty relatives. I've already asked my Uncle Zhuang to help me send the family behind bars with no bail until further notice. They won't bother you for a while. If they come to you again, we'll put a restraining order like dog leashes tied to their necks." Lily comforted her with the best words she could think of.

Suddenly, Lily's phone rang. She saw the caller ID and immediately picked up the call.

"Hello? Mom. Uh huh. Uh huuh. Okay...Bye." She hung up the call within a minute into the call.

Ginny parted her face from Alan's shirt, "What did your mom say?"

Lily replied. "She said they changed the location of our trip to Japan because they wanted to look at cherry blossoms. At the same time, they want to try the hot springs. So, our previous trip arrangements have been cancelled including flights and hotels. We got our refunds, which is great news. Now, we just need to see what items we don't need and return them."

"Oh! That's a good idea. So, we can shop again. Let's order a matching kimono to attend the festival and wear it during our trip! It'll be fun going around and observing the pretty blossoms!" Ginny's mood improved significantly after hearing about the change of plans. She has always wanted to visit Japan, but never found the right opportunity.

This time, everyone would be going, including her boyfriend!

Seeing her smile again made everyone feel relieved. After going through the items, they just purchased, they decided to return a few things. The rest of the products they've purchased were considered useful for various occasions, so the girls decided to keep them.

After walking a quick round around the mall, the girls gathered their basic necessities for the trip. As for the guys, they were mainly present to help their girlfriends hold the shopping bags. At the end of the day, Lily also found a couch she fancied and eliminated one of her worries.

Two weeks later, Lily's family, Lin Que's family, Alan, Ginny, Lily and Lin Que began their first trip as a whole group to Japan! During the flight ride, the elders were mostly asleep. Meanwhile, Lily, Lin Que, Ginny and Alan were arranging their trip plans together. They mixed the cafes and place names they must visit into one long list.

Once they got off the airplane, they collected their luggage and took transportation to the hot spring resort. For the next two weeks, they will stay at the same resort. After checking in, Lily's parents distributed the keys to their reserved rooms.

Toby let out a cheery laughter. "Lily and Lin Que are in the first room. Alan and Ginny are in the second room. Lin An and Yao Yao are in the room opposite of ours. And of course, my husband and me are sharing one room as well. You see, we suddenly changed the plans and couldn't reserve regular rooms. The only rooms available at that time were honeymoon suites."

"Since this is your first trip to Japan with your partners, how could we separate girls from guys? Anyways, that is the arrangement for the rooms. If you really mind about sharing a room with the opposite sex, then you can always switch your partners back. Just saying, you don't always get to enjoy a vacation like this."

After saying what she had on her mind, Toby pulled Lawrence to their room. Lin An and Yao Yao followed along and went into their room. Lily and Ginny stared at the individual key in their hands and shrugged.

Lily looked at Lin Que with a smile. "Might as well stay in the same room."

Lin Que chuckled, "Sure."

Ginny took a quick glance at Alan, whose face was flushed as if he had drunk alcohol. She held his hand and said, "Let's go to our room then."

"En." Alan nodded as they entered their own room.
