An ADAGE

"I don't know why she gnaw into this act,"

Mrs. Hale soliloquizing in the sitting room. She thought of consulting a doctor maybe it's a medical issue. She doesn't believe what Lia told her about what's going on with Klhoe. She yearn for more knowledge on her predicament. She remembers the adage that says "One can't widen his/her eyes for a dirt to fall in",of course one need to close it to avoid the dirt. Klhoe,her only child, she need to apply more pressure on her to know what's going on with her.

"Mom!" Klhoe , calling her mom loudly. "How are you miss's" Mrs. Hale ask gathering herself from her mood."I've been calling you countlessly mom, right in front of you,you didn't answered" Klhoe said to her mom In a calm voice. "I-I'm fine Hun. How are you?" Klhoe's mom ask."Mom are you sure?" Klhoe ask her mom. "I'm fine" Mrs. Hale smile at her.

"I'm off to Lia's place , might have fun with her till tomorrow" She said as she pec her mom . "Make sure you have fun Hun" Mrs. Hale said. "Sure mom" Lia slam the door behind her

"I think my mom is worried about me" Lhoe said to Lia as she walk in her room ."How do you mean?" Lia ask hugging her."I mean, about that stuff" Klhoe said."What stuff? The stuff you are hiding from me" Lia said to her angrily. "Lia, don't start, I'm not ready for that" Klhoe uttered

"Klhoe you've changed. You are making me feeling as if I don't know you anymore. I don't ask things from you twice Klhoe,you will freely tell me about anything. Now, it's a different ball game. I don't understand you anymore. Few minutes,you will be happy, next minute,you will be moody. I don't know this side of you Klhoe. Are you just pretending for me? I mean pretending to be a sweet girl for 15yrs now. I'm your bestie hun. Tell me anything,I will keep your secret. Rely on me, I'm capable dear. What's wrong with you Hun? Are you hypnotized? Was it the kiss? Tell me about it Khloe, I'm tired of this side of you. I want not it." Lia finish digging some words into Klhoe's head as she walk out of the room to the sitting room leaving Klhoe crying. Klhoe followed her.

She met Richard in the sitting room waiting for her. She turned back because she wasn't looking good and well putted. But Richard called her back.

"You're beautiful still, even without anything" Richard said hugging her from behind. "Please be my girlfriend" Richard whisper gently to her ears. "Sorry?" Lia said. "I mean,I need you in my life as not just a friend but, beyond literally meaning" Richard saying hugging her still ."I will think about this Richard" Lia said smiling. "it's fine" Richard said. "What's you thinking about" Klhoe interrupted

"Don't be weird Klhoe" Lia said laughing out loud "Plead your Lia to be mine,to do me" Richard said smiling at Klhoe. "Oh! Beautiful...let see hke it goes dude" Klhoe said with a smile on her face making Richard comfortable about it. "Let tose to enjoy this moment" Lia pouring the wine drink in the glass cup they are holding. "To great Friendship,love,and unity" Lia said as they all tose together. "Girls, since we are close now,can I take you guys out?" Richard ask the girls. "Well,it's fine" Klhoe said. "Really?" Lia looked at Klhoe."Let pull out dear,it's been a while" Klhoe said

"Right" Lia conqur

"Nice " Richard said smiling

Message pops on Klhoe's phone. This time,she isn't with her phone. She is using the restaurant toilet. Her phone is with Lia who is checking some of her pictures. She didn't bother checking since the message isn't for her and she's not even the owner of the phone. She believe in privacy. But then,she remembered how Klhoe always feel anytime she read a message from her phone. So,she was so inquisitive to know who the sender is and what the message is all about. She's about the start checking out what the message is all about when Klhoe walk towards her.

"You have a message.I will check it for you Hun" Lia uttered. "No. I'll do that" Klhoe collected it from her and rush outside to read the message. Lia quickly rush after her leaving Richard alone on their table.

"Hello belle. How are you? My name is Mr. K. Don't be surprised, I'm your mom's doctor. I know you don't know me but you know me still. Your mom explained few things about you to me,I have the solution to it. Come check me up tomorrow by 7am. Right." Klhoe finish reading the message.

"Why did you jerk out like that?" Lia ask angrily. ",I'm just ..." Richard cut her short . "Hello girls, you're good?" Richard ask . "Of course yes,let go in" Lia said.  "Yay" Klhoe blacked her up. "Before you" Richard pave way for the girls. "Aww.. that's sweet of you" Lia complimented. "I know right" Klhoe commended

Klhoe's phone rings. It's her mom calling. She call to confirm if Mr. K have contact her.  "Mom,I never complained anything to you. I'm able-bodied" Klhoe said.

"I know Hun. Not everytime you go to the hospital because of sickness. Sometimes,it's very good to visit the hospital for proper check up on ones system" Mrs. Hale said. "Mom, I'm fine" Klhoe insisted.

"The Klhoe I know will never change my words. You're changing Hun" Mrs. Hale lashes out to her daughter. "Mom, I'm sorry" Klhoe apologize."If you're sorry, visit Mr. K tomorrow as early as possible" Mrs. Hale insisting her daughter to go the hospital for checkup. "O-okay ..I will be there tomorrow" Klhoe conqur. "Extend my greetings to your mom" Lia said to Klhoe. "bye mom" she cut the phone.  "I will escort you there" Lia said. "Where?" Klhoe ask . "Mr. K's place" Lia replied. "Never mind,your help isn't needed" Klhoe said eyeing her."I'm the baddest in that act" Lia teases. "Whatever" they all laugh off it

" You must be Klhoe Hale" Mr. K ask Klhoe who is sitting opposite him in his office.

"Yes sir" Klhoe Replied.

"Tell me how you're feeling" Mr. K said 

"I'm honestly fine. My mom is just being a mother" Klhoe said 

" Sure, you're good?" Mr. K ask 

"Absolutely sir" Klhoe said 

"I'll run normal abdominal test for you" Mr.k said 

"Alright" she said 

The doctor finish doing the test. Klhoe waited for her result to be out. In couple of minutes,her result was out.

The doctor invited her  to his office. He gave her the results. Mr. K told her she's very okay physically. He said her mom insisted on him doing the test for her. He abet her to be a good girl. 

"Thanks sir. I appreciate" Klhoe said as she slam the door behind her
