Chapter 24

" I said listen to your environment. you will feel everything in the palm of your hand " Aiden instructed the hundred times now

" I am trying" taking a deep breath, she did her best to focus

" no. you are not, you are distracted" he scold

" why the fuck won't I be distracted. you are standing right in front of me" she whined

" I am distracting you?" he asked.

" Is that even a question Aiden. for fucking sake we kissed a few hours ago. and you expect me to concentrate with you in front of me "

" I will do it again if you don't watch your language" he had a mischievous smile as he spoke

" Oh," she became quiet.

" you are acting like a teenage girl " He announced

" I am a teenage girl. we are both teenagers to be precise "she marked

" true " he was in deep thought for a while " ok, let's do this again," he said

" am done " Riley announced and sat on the ground showing that she has given up.

" oh come on Riley "

" we will practice another day" she gave him puppy eyes " please"

" we may not have another day Riley. the three days are up. They will come for us tomorrow"

" Already?" Aiden nodded at her question

" yes. now get up let's practice" he instructed

" ok " she reluctantly pulled herself up. suddenly an idea hit her " teach me how to use a gun instead "

" No " he declined immediately

" Why " with a curious tone. Aiden stared at her for a while. his eyes suddenly glowed lifting Riley off the ground " holy shit " she cursed in a panic to find herself floating in the air " Aiden?" she called. she began to float towards him. Aiden dropped her in front of him and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her to his body. she placed her hand on his chest and couldn't stop herself from blushing

" I won't teach you to use a gun " looking into her eyes. he spoke calmly

" why?"

" because you don't need it. you are already strong "

" We both have the same power you use a gun " she marked

" I know, but just so you know your powers are stronger than mine. I noticed while training with you. that in just two nights you can do a few things that took me a long time to learn," he explained calmly.

" if I am good, why do you pressure me, making me feel like I am not getting it " with an eyebrow raised

" two reasons. one, it is fun and two, we don't have much time " she snapped his chest

" it is fun " repeating what he said and he nodded

" yes "

" that is not nice " frowning " so does that mean I am strong than you?" with an excited tone

" in strength? No. but your powers are on a whole new level. I was surprised the day at Max's place that you found out about your parent's death. "

" I lost control" she remained

" not completely, they were more of your doing " he explained " no wonder the boss calls you the 100 per cent success"

" I don't get it "

" you are more of a success than I am. that is why he wants you back " Riley nodded in understanding. She rests her head on his chest while she wrapped her arms around him

Riley was seriously beginning to have a bad feeling about this place Aiden was taking her. she was a science experiment. why was she created? is it because of the reasons she was created that they want her back so bad? what is it then? why won't Aiden just tell her? Aiden wasn't lying to her but she noticed that there were details he avoided getting into saying it is not in his place to tell. She would easily change her mind and turn around but she trust Aiden. She trusted him not to hurt her like others and she really wanted to know who she was so she was going to go with him. and as long she had him by her side, she was ok.

" But wait " lifting her head to look at him " what happened. does this mean my parents are not my real parents, did they kidnap me or something"

Aiden smiled " you will find out all this when we get there "

" what is wrong with you tell me " she pushed her lips forward making her look so cute

" I love to honestly but I can't. ok. tomorrow you will find out everything. okay " Riley nodded in understanding

" We have no time for this Aiden " Riley heard a female voice scolding, pulling her out of her comfortable sleep. Riley was sleeping in the back seat. she had no idea it was already morning, Aiden did his best to make sure she slept well.

" she is exhausted from all the running around. let her sleep " She heard Aiden's voice. who was he talking to?

she opened her eyes and sat up, running her hand through her messy hair " what is going on " looking outside. Riley was taken by surprise at the sight. " holy shit " she whispered. several black cars were surrounding theirs and men dressed in black suits, they were well built. at first, Riley thought that they were Dr frankly's men but she noticed that Aiden was talking to a woman who was dressed in a white suit different from the others. and they seem to know each other

" Aiden don't let me use force " the woman was angry

" if you touch her, you will regret it. let her sleep. "

' are they talking about me ' she thought to herself. Riley opened the door and got out of the car drawing everyone's attention. they all turned in her direction Riley was focused on Aiden and didn't care to look at anyone else

" Aiden " she called in a low and worried tone. who were these people? she wondered

" you are awake " he smiled " did you sleep well " Riley nodded

" Who is this person?" there was fear in her tone

" Miss Wilson " the woman walked away from Aiden, towards Riley with a bright smile. she has beautiful blonde hair and Ocean blue eyes. she was tall and slim, obvious that she kept her fitness. a pointed nose and small lips. she was around her early forties " it is an honour to finally meet you in person" offering her hand for a handshake. Riley glanced at Aiden who nodded in approval. at that moment she realized who they were. last night Aiden said that today, they will come for them and now here they were. she took the woman's hand in a handshake

" nice to meet you too " Riley forces a smile " you are?" asking for a name

" call me Linda " she introduced

" oh, Linda " Nodding her head, she watched as Linda studied her in amazement

" I must say, you are so beautiful " Her compliment made Riley blush

" Thanks "

" the boss is waiting," she said

" you are not the boss " Riley was a little surprised. she thought that she was the boss. then she realized that if she was the boss Aiden won't have argued with her a few minutes ago

" me? no silly, in my dreams " she laughed. the boss is waiting for us so we must leave now
