While they were talking, a presence which could shake the world was felt by all of them. The pair of old men began to sweat and they quickly dashed towards their troops and said," brothers be ready to flee, we would try to hold these evil monsters for the time being. If we could not survive, make sure to take care of yourself and take revenge for us from those people who plotted behind our backs" Old D said.

Hubert, guide those brothers of ours outside the forest. We would take it as our debt. Please save them with all your might. They are the only family we have left in this world. Do not worry little brother we would pay you handsomely if we survive, if not we would not forget and compensate you in our next life. Jeff said to Hubert.

Hey you freaking monster king we escape from the 2 of you earlier on, but you came alone. do you think you have a chance coming for the two of us , Old D said, provoking the monster king.

The both of them, Old d and Jeff simultaneously released all of their powers, it reached the peak of a high tier archduke and was only one step away from going to the levels of the kings. Next they summoned their second souls.

One of the souls was an Earth dragon which gave an ancient appeal of being lofty and prideful, this was the 2nd soul of Jeff. Another one was a phoenix which is burning black, a very rare second soul even in the entire universe. This was the 2nd soul of Old D.

The evil monster laughed and said, " bwahahahahah as if you could save those who are around you. you do not have the power to do that. bwahahhaah just submit to me and be ready to die and maybe I'll let your other men go. Bwahahhaahah obediently become my nutrition, at least you helped me reach another level of power bwahahahah."

The Monster who just came was an evolved one, He was a king who had nearly touched the laws of an emperor but was stocked at that level for a hundred of years. The evil creature was a humanoid one. It was full of blue scales, creating an armor which gave the monster a great buff for defense. Its knees and elbows were protruded by blades and spikes. His eyes were burning with a black color, his hair was burning with a golden fire, his tail was like a sharp sword that can cut the void, and a horn was growing in his head curving down to his neck

The pair of old men Said " NEVER'" then they released all their power, burned their life essence and combined it with their second soul. After that they let their soul go towards the monster king and self destruct

The monster king was shocked for about a second or so that he forgot to react properly. And boom a ferocious amount of energy exploded creating a rain of fire burning and eating everything in the forest. This continued for about a minute.

The pair of old men after releasing that kind of power plumed down and was coughing a great amount of blood. This made their faces pale and white. Their ranks were now going down and it stopped at ranks of a duke. But the pair of old men were happy.

Old D said" our sacrifice wasn't for nothing, even though we would stagnate at the ranks of a duke and cannot summon our second soul for sometime, it is worth it. At least we saved our brothers and killed the evil monster who was chasing after us".

Jeff agreed and said," it's true, what we sacrificed is our future, but in exchange we got and secured the future of our brothers then. he smiled"

The both of them are rejoicing about their achievement when suddenly, a roar was heard coming out from the exploding energy. After that a humanoid creature who was severely injured and was gravely wounded was slowly creeping his way out of the explosion. And next, the humanoid creature was trying to heal itself and was mending his broken bones and flesh.

You dam humans, be ready. For I shall kill you slowly, I will cripple your power, I'll gonna tortured you and I'll gonna eat you alive. After that I will imprison your soul and burn you for a thousand of years. This would make you an example to those humans or even monsters who want to be my enemies. Bwahahahah. Oh by the way thank your Human Cattellian for he is the one who sent you to your death bwahahahahha. The monster said.

This made the pair of old men paler than before, They now looked like corpses whose blood was already drained from their bodies. So it really was like that, Old D said and sighs.

It seems like the royalties sees the both of us as a treat to their reign. We helped them in their problems and they let us expand our force, but our force expanded too quickly and it threatened their reign. But they made a mistake, if they just asked nicely. We could give some of our forces to them, or even disband our troops for the good of the kingdom. I would personally be the one to disband our mercenary troops if they just asked. but haiiss. they are just scheming people who are afraid of change. haisst . Old D said

We lost because we trusted the wrong people from the beginning, it is better to be dumb and be an idiot rather than trusting people who would stab you in the back someday. The thing that happened to us, was like feeding a person and letting that person kill us without any repercussions. Haisst,

Did the royalties forget about the sacrifices and hard works we gave them during their time of weakness. Is that really how fickle our relationship with the royalties?. Are we just chess pieces for them to use in their political agendas? haisst Jeff said with a deep regret.

Us monster are better than you humans, At least were are true with what we fell and we are true with our nature. We don't scheme behind our companions and we take actions based on some's behavior. Unlike you human who set their partners up and blame them for thier mistakes. We are a lot better than you . Bwahhahahahahah. The monster laughed again.
