Chief looked at Lucas with a contemplating gaze that made Lucas shift in his seat uncomfortably. 'What was this man going to ask him for?!' he thought that to himself while offering the best smile to chief.

"Indeed Lucas, my request is simple, just marry your daughter to my son!" Chief dropped the bomb.

Lucas was stupified that he had to first let his old brain process this request but it seemed chief had no patience to let him contemplate about it. "Think of the benefits that are going to come along once our children are married! It's a lifetime alliance filled with endless power and riches!!" Chief knew Lucas was an ambitious Oldman who yearned for more. He was no different and was just like any greedy man.

However, Lucas was indeed greedy but he had brains. He saw the trap that had been laid before him. "Hahahha....", he gave a fake laugh. "Chief....this...which son do you wish to marry my daughter? As you see I've only managed to get one child in life and what I want for her is the best." He decided to test the depth of the waters.

'Smart old brat!!' Thought Chief, "Of course, it's bound to be the best. My younger son!" He replied proudly with a smug expression.

Lucas's hairs stood out on end. 'His younger son!!! No, not him!!! Definitely not him!!' Lucas thought but maintained a neutral expression. He knew what this old man was aiming for. It was the company he had painstakingly worked to maintain with hopes of passing it down to his daughter but with this man's request, he knew what this old man wanted. His company!!!! And besides, who didn't know of his younger son, that violent and womanising brat!!!! For anything that wore a skirt, be it a maniquine, dog, even a tree, he'd go after it blindly. His recent scandal had caused an uproar and this guy wanted to clear his son's name by implicating my daughter!! He'd dream on!! He had to choose his next words carefully to avoid clashing with this Potbellied man. He can be aggressive at times.

With a forced smile, "Chief, am really honoured!! This request is indeed one in a million however, I'd love my daughter to make a choice about this. Your son is indeed outstanding but this is the kids lives so it's better if we let them choose."

'Your trying to dodge me?!' thought chief grimly. "I know your worried about the recent scandal but that shouldn't make you waver, such issues are nothing to me and besides, my son has always had eyes for your girl and this time, he's ready to settle down and start his own family."

"I understand!!" Lucas bit down his jaw to prevent his tongue from slipping. He was on an internal rampage. He was never going to let that happen!!! Not in a million lifetimes!

"Hahahah", his belly danced along with his groggy laughter, "I know you don't want to understand but, don't feel pressured Lucas, we'll let the children handle these matters. And for the deal, count me in. That bug that's worrying you, I'll handle it for you before the end of this week. Now that we are soon to be family, we should look out for each other. Right?! My boy will come see our princess to check up on her." With that, he stood up leaving no room for further discussion and they shook hands. Though everything had been dominated by chief, Lucas was more of a control freak than this old man, he was going to think things through and be the better beneficiary.

Back at Jason's penthouse.

After a good rest for almost the whole day, Jenny left the room after changing in what Liam had brought for her to change into. Her stupid tongue had slipped and she practically regretted it, however, it was not going to reverse if she thought about it all day, she had come here to start anew and that was exactly what she was going to do. She descended the staircase and found the group of men in a heated discussion with piles of files strewn over the coffe table in the center and cups of coffee. The loudest of course was James as the others tried to chim in a few crutial points, the one that happened to catch her attention the most was Jason who was seriously looking at a file that Travis had handed him.

His hairs were ruffled a few strands falling to his right eyes covering it slightly, his clear skin that she felt was better than hers was glowing as the setting orange sun rays hit his face, his staright nose and those devilish red lips with the bottom lip between his teeth made him look delicious. The cold demeanor that surrounded him enhanced his charm. He was too engrossed in the files he was reading that with a slight frown murred on his handsome forehead. Jenny was practically drooling!!!

Gladly, the group was too busy to notice her, however Jason who had become someone's mental meal felt a presence and he lazily lifted his gaze from the file to the staircase. A chuckle almost left his lips when he saw the drooling face of Jenny. He was glad he had that effect on her. 'What???, when did I start thinking of such things?!' He chided himself and turned his attention back to the files as though he hadn't seen her.

Noticing his line of sight, Liam Also turned from the sofa seat where he was and saw Jenny. A shy smile bloomed on his face when he saw that she looked heavenly in the outfit he had selected for her. It was tight dark blue high waist jeans with a white crop top. Her hair had been tied in a ponytail leaving her baby like features exposed. His day couldn't be any better!!! James who also noticed her placed his files down and jumped from his seat rushing to her side with a boyish grin.

"Your leaving already?!" He asked the obvious.

Coming back form her stupor, she nodded and shifted her gaze from Jason and looked at the happy James. She wondered why he was always so happy?!

"Umm, I'm not sorry for what I've done. I realised that your identity has just been created. You must be a runaway, I suppose?!" He looked at Jenny with a probing gaze.

Jenny was shocked. He did a background check on her?! Though her expression didn't give her away, she was rather on fire inside. This guy needed a beating!!

As if reading her mind, he grinned and nodded proudly. "No worries Jenny, I won't prob any further!"

"As if you haven't." Jenny murmured through her teeth.

"We are good guys, I mean, I am a good guy. Don't know about them but no need for you to worry. You can come to us if you happen to have any issues at hand. We'll definitely help you. I personally consider you my sister now!" He turned to the others, Liam, Mike and Travis, shamelessly excluding Jason.

Liam didn't know how to respond so he only smiled. Mike and Travis looked at eachother and as if having a tactic understanding, they nodded and smiled at her.

Jenny didn't know how to feel right now, a vague memory flashed in her mind bringing along a painful feeling in her chest. She was mad that James pried in her life but seeing them willing to help when she hadn't asked them for their help, she smiled at the four youngmen. "Thanks!" was her short reply.
