John Kottman

**Near the hallowed grounds of the Church of the Lord of Storm,** Oliver found himself ensnared in a web of conflict, his heart heavy with the weight of grief and betrayal. As he stood amidst the ruins of his once-thriving village, the shadows of despair clung to him like a shroud, threatening to engulf him in their suffocating embrace.

With each passing moment, the anguish that gnawed at Oliver's soul grew more insistent, driving him ever closer to the brink of madness. His mind, a tempest of conflicting emotions, churned with rage and sorrow, each emotion vying for dominance in the tumult of his thoughts. Yet amidst the chaos that threatened to consume him, a flicker of defiance burned bright within Oliver's heart. Though the world may have forsaken him, he would not go quietly into the night.

**As Oliver's footsteps echoed through the desolate streets,** a sense of purpose began to crystallize within him—a resolve to confront the forces that had wrought such devastation upon his life. With each step forward, he drew closer to the heart of the storm, where justice and retribution awaited him.

It was there, amidst the crumbling edifice of the church, that Oliver found himself confronted by a formidable adversary—a Mandated Punisher, clad in the regalia of his office, his eyes ablaze with righteous fervor. Yet even as the Punisher advanced, his intentions clear, Oliver stood his ground, his gaze unflinching in the face of adversity. The air crackled with tension as the two adversaries squared off, their fates intertwined in the crucible of conflict. With every fiber of his being, Oliver braced himself for the inevitable clash, steeling himself for the trials that lay ahead.

After a series of confrontations, Oliver was forced to back down. He hears the voice behind him, "Stop!" A Mandated Punisher was chasing the man. "Oliver, you are already surrounded, you should surrender now," a Mandated Punisher's member shouted. Oliver continued his pace without slowing down. He knew that he couldn't be caught here! His fate would certainly be doomed! His hands still dripped with blood. His knuckles were worn off and bruised as if he had just beaten someone to death using his bare hands! He still remembers the sensation of crushing his best friend's head.

Oliver's tragic tale unfolded against the backdrop of the vast and unforgiving sea, where he worked as Beyonder, his heart buoyed by dreams of a brighter tomorrow. Little did he know that his journey would soon veer into treacherous waters, leading him down a path of sorrow and despair. It was during one fateful voyage that Oliver's life took a dark and ominous turn. His closest friend, a fellow church member whom he had trusted implicitly, fell prey to the insidious influence of a true god. Consumed by madness and desperation, his friend sought a means of salvation—a way to rid himself of the curse that gnawed at his soul like a ravenous beast.

Tragically, the bearer of this curse could only pass it on to an innocent soul, condemning them to suffer in their stead. And in his frenzied state, Oliver's friend could think of only one person to target—the woman whom Oliver held most dear, his beloved wife. Driven by madness and desperation, Oliver's friend descended upon the tranquil village where Oliver's wife resided, his mind consumed by visions of doom and destruction. With a single touch, he transferred the curse to her, sealing her fate and setting into motion a chain of events that would irrevocably alter the course of Oliver's life.

As word of his wife's supposed heresy spread like wildfire through the village, the church wasted no time in mobilizing its forces to quell the perceived threat. An angel of the Lord of Storm was summoned, its divine wrath unleashed upon the unsuspecting villagers in a violent purge that left no stone unturned. In the blink of an eye, Oliver's idyllic existence was shattered, his world reduced to ash and rubble by the merciless hand of fate. With nothing left to cling to but his grief and despair, he set out on a journey of vengeance, his heart consumed by a burning desire to kill his best friend. He knows the implications of such doing. His friend was an innocent person just as the Church concerned. The moment he killed his friend, he was branded as a 'heretic'.

**"Lightning Spear."**

"Archbishop!" The Mandated Punisher exclaimed as he saw John Kottman, a Sequence 3 Beyonder, appear! Archbishop John Kottman appeared—a figure of awe-inspiring power, his presence suffused with the raw energy of the storm itself. With a gesture of his hand, he summoned forth a tempest of lightning, the very heavens bowing to his command.

With a deft motion, Oliver summoned a Shield, a last line of defense against the Archbishop's onslaught. The clash of lightning and shield sent shockwaves reverberating through the air, each impact heralding the collision of titanic forces locked in a battle for supremacy. The force of the collision was palpable, a tangible manifestation of the Archbishop's indomitable will and Oliver's unwavering determination. As the wave of energy cascaded over him, Oliver was thrown backward with bone-jarring force, his body crashing to the ground with a resounding thud.

Blood trickled from the corner of Oliver's mouth as he struggled to rise, his muscles protesting against the relentless assault. Yet despite the numbness that threatened to engulf him, he refused to yield, his teeth clenched in a silent vow of defiance. With every ounce of strength remaining to him, Oliver pushed himself to his feet, his gaze fixed unwaveringly on his adversary. Though battered and bruised, he refused to surrender to the darkness that threatened to consume him, his spirit unbroken by the trials that lay ahead.
