Test of Will

As Yama entered the portal, he was taken to a place that looked like a desert, the land was flat and barren, one can tell the living conditions here would not be suitable for plants or animals yet Yama could sense the deep killing intent that is coming from far away, however not one single beast or person can be seen.

Yama suddenly heard a voice in his mind that was penetrating.

"Young man, welcome to my legacy trial, you are the 13th person to take this legacy test.

You will soon face countless amount of demon beasts, and I will like to see how many you can kill, the cultivation level of each beast will increase as time goes by and naturally the flow of the beasts will stop once you have completed the trials.

Only three people have completed this challenge. I wish you all the best."

Just as the voice disappeared from Yama's mind, he could see a dust storm ahead of him, it was the sound of a lot of footsteps, if someone else has seen this they will be running for their life saying is a demon beast stampede.

Yama stood motionless, watching the countless amount of demon beasts coming towards him, he didn't think much about it and wasn't affected in the least.

The dragon was watching everything through a formation that showed what was happening in the array that was created by his master. The dragon was sitting down waiting for an excellent show to begin because he couldn't wait to see Yama running for his life but what he saw shocked him because he can see that Yama had no expression what so ever.

'Could this brat be petrified by what he saw?'

The dragon could only think that Yama has lost his consciousness, but before he could make his decision to that, he saw Yama stretch out his hand as a golden coloured whip was being pulled out.

'Hmm... Interesting what is this whip that is giving a golden glow, could this brat be hiding this whip inside his storage ring?'

The dragon was first amused by the glowing whip, but he could only think that Yama pulled this whip out from his storage ring but what the dragon didn't know is that the whip that was pulled out was actually from the Judgement Book which is currently hovering in front of Yama.

Naturally, the dragon couldn't see the Judgement Book, so he has no idea what is going on and could only relate to what common sense he has.

'If this brat thinks he can handle all these demon beasts by himself just by using that whip, he must be joking.'

The dragon couldn't bear the sight of Yama holding that whip waiting for the demon beasts to come to him, he couldn't help but disdain this descendant of his master, he thought Yama is just full of himself, arrogant and prideful and doesn't know what's good for him.

The dragon couldn't wait to pull Yama back out and look at him smugly, he was confident that Yama will be in serious trouble right now.

Just as the dragon was imagining how fun it will be to taunt Yama when he rescues him, he saw Yama finally make a move that made his eyes pop out.

The whip that Yama was holding extended wide that even the length of the whip could not be seen anymore, one would question if Yama can also flog this whip anymore.

However, the cord of the whip which has been straightened started to rush towards the oncoming beast and just as the beasts touched the tip of the whip every single one of them was electrocuted, some were even on fire, which led to cause a chain of fire.

Surprisingly some of the demon beasts seemed to escape from the whip which was most likely due to the nature of beasts being immune to lightning and fire, however just as the beasts have passed the last hurdle of the whip, the whip suddenly stretched and strangled them only to find their soul slowly fading away.

The dragon who was calm while watching all this stood up when he saw the chain of deaths, he even felt pity for these beasts that have been murdered so cruelly.

The dragon has previously watched every single person that has been chosen for the legacy, and none of them dealt with the beasts the same way as Yama has as each one of them went through a hard time to even pass through this first phase.

The dragon felt like he got a big slap across his face, he was waiting for the shouts of Yama begging him to save him, but Yama dealt with these beasts as if there were insignificant ants.

The dragon couldn't tell just what weapon is it that Yama is carrying and how he even get hold of that weapon, how could the dragon know that this weapon only recognises Yama as its owner.

However, the dragon knew this was nothing to be too excited about even though he was surprised to see Yama deal with these hordes of beasts easily, the next set of beasts will be ones that have a high cultivation level.

The dragon chose to wait to see just what will Yama do when that happens and how undying his will is.

Yama who seemed to have dealt with all the beasts that were coming at him felt nothing at all, however, when he dealt with the last of the beasts he immediately sensed the power of the new ones that were being sent out.

Yama knew the new ones that are being sent must have a higher cultivation level as he could feel the killing intent that was emitted was more severe than before, this naturally made Yama smile.

The dragon who saw Yama's smile suddenly had a bad premonition, he was wondering just when will Yama take this seriously, but what he saw nearly made him have a chill in his spine.

He saw Yama's eyes slowly transforming into pitch black, the eyes looked as if it was about to devour every single being in the desert, just as his eyes were slowly turning pitch black a black sword was being pulled out from the Judgement Book.

The Judgement Book emitted an aura that made all the beasts that were running suddenly halt because it was as if they had sensed someone that they should have never crossed their path against.

All the beasts wanted to run back to where they have come from, but for some reason they didn't have the will and the energy to run for their lives, the only thought that ran through their mind was to kneel and wait for their fate to be decided.

The dragon who saw everything couldn't help but take a step back even from the illusion formation that he was watching, he couldn't help but be gobsmacked by every single demon beasts kneeling one by one.

The only person the dragon could see on the screen was Yama slowly striding towards the demon beasts that were kneeling as if they were welcoming their lord.

"Every single one of you, kill yourself!" Yama said coldly.

Plop! Plop! Plop!

The dragon horridly watched on as every single beast was suiciding themselves with their weapons and some even killing each other.
