Getting digested alive was an experience that only a very, very few could attest to having experienced. Jonah was one. Pinocchio and Geppetto were another. And recently joining this very elite list was Lucius.

'How did I get here?' he asked himself, his body struggling against the muscular contractions around him. A repulsive, pungent smell hung within the air making it difficult for him to breathe. Fluids, that looked as disgusting as they felt, smothered his entire body.

Oh, and then there was the very slight stinging pain across the surface of his skin. A pain that was very similar to the one that you would feel upon accidentally spattering a drop of acid on your hand.

Keeping him from being crushed by the writhing muscles around him was hard enough. It didn't help not knowing where he was, or how he had gotten here.
