Lucifer pt. 2

After we reached the entrance to Caemeterium and I opened the door I stared into the abyss; the many stars, planets, and galaxies that swirling together in an eternal and elaborate dance. I smiled and shot into the sky feeling the air claw at me trying to slow my ascent into the abyss with no avail. I glanced back and saw Anagi and Loralie to my rear and closing the distance between us gradually until I couldn't feel the gravity of Caemeterium anymore and knew that we had entered the abyss. "Okay Loralie, I'm guessing that this is the first time that you've entered the abyss right?" She nodded as she looked around in awe at the sheer beauty that was the abyss. "Okay, first I need you to focus on me okay? In the abyss there are monsters that have been here since before Lucifer's fall." She looked puzzled at the mention of Lucifer. "Who?" was all that came from her as she started to look around again.

"Lucifer, was the first Right hand of the Creator, but unlike Michael he was prideful in his position and power so much so that he felt he could take the Creator's place. There was a massive civil war in the Silver City that left the opposition, Lucifer, in a very weakened state. He then went to the farthest reaches of the abyss and chose his Leviathan twelve monstrous beings that rivaled the Creator in power. With his newly found forces Lucifer stormed the Silver City and let lose his Leviathan on the army's of the Creator. Only with the help of the King of Dragons, Lady Life, King Azazel, and Lord Death's help was the Creator able to halt the former Right hand and his twelve monstrous beings and sealed them all in cages in the abyss." Her mouth hung open in suprise, "Wow, so Lord Death is crazy strong if he can take on all of them and still be alive." I smiled and nodded before pointing in the direction of the Silver City. "Just keep a look out, all of the Leviathan are locked away but they could have found a way out of their prisons. If you see anything suspicious let me know immediately." I ordered and I pulled my scythe out and turned towards the Silver City.

As we flew through the abyss I could hear Anagi and Loralie talking about the days when we were in her position and interesting facts about the many planets we passed. When she started talking about our planet she told her about the day she met a reaper there and about all the good days spent there. I smiled as I recalled the day she told me that she loved me. 'You know thats my favorite day on our tiny planet' Anagi's voice rang through my head as I heard them giggling behind me. I was about to spin around and tackle her when I heard a roar.

I looked in the direction of the roar and saw a monster that looked like a massive snake with three heads; it's scales were jagged and the color of blood in each of its mouths rows of teeth like swords and two fangs that hung out of them like a sabertooth. Its body was at least a mile long. I pulled my scythe out and I noticed Anagi open her book and Loralie pulling her scythe as well. The creature roared again and began to rear back to strike. "Scatter!" I ordered just as the creature's heads barely missed Anagi. I activated my energy and called to Björn 'In the abyss three headed snake how do I kill it?' I noticed Loralie was shaking and I didn't blame her, I looked over the creature trying to find a weak spot while I waited for Björn to answer me.

"He won't answer you reaper, I've cut off any communication in this area." It laughed and reared its head showing its underbelly. At the spot where its heads connected was a mark that I vaguely recalled but couldn't place. Anagi flew to me and waited for orders, while the creature glared at me with hate. "Go protect Loralie I'll take this creature down." I flew up to eye level with the creature while Anagi flew to Loralie brandishing her blade to protect the inexperienced reaper. "Who are you to challenge me reaper?" The Creature spoke and I felt all of its eyes drilling into my soul. "I am Auris Mortis Right Hand of Lord D-" The creature roared cutting me off. "Slayer of my brother the Leviathan known as Doraxis." I froze up, that's what the mark was the mark of Leviathan. I charged some energy into my blade and charged forward.

When I fought the Leviathan before I was at full power and it almost killed me. The creature's mark started to glow and it soon spread to its whole body soon growing brighter and brighter till the glow subsided leaving behind a man clad in gleaming armor. He looked to be about 8 feet tall and carried a massive sword, his hair and eyes were a brilliant red. The man held himself like a king looking down on me with disdain. "Well reaper? Aren't you gonna come after me?" The Leviathan said simply. "I didn't break out of my cage to be ignored." I readied my scythe and I felt my eyes burn, I wouldn't allow this foul creature to live any longer.

I shot forward and my scythe met the Leviathan's blade, I pulled away and struck again and again finding only the resistance of my opponents weapon. I growled and felt my hands catch ablaze not knowing what else to do I sent my flames into my weapon and slashed at the Leviathan again and again. The Leviathan seemed confused at the flames appearance and backed off some. Using this to my advantage I stayed up close and wouldn't let up, the Leviathan's eyes started to glow and I felt a blast of heat slam into me breaking one of my ribs. I gasped and felt a few more of my ribs break as the Leviathan pounded its knee into me again and again before sending me into the abyss.

"It's strange really, my brother was one of the strongest of the Leviathan, how could a nothing reaper even hold a candle to him?" The Leviathan sneered and held out it's weapon towards me. I began to charge energy inside me letting my rage build before I felt my entire body burst into golden flames. I felt my skin dissolve leaving behind something that resembled Lord Death. The Leviathan looked shocked and even a little scared at the transformation. I shot forward seemingly at my full power and held my scythe to the Leviathan's throat, "Begone Leviathan," my voice sounded much deeper and I noticed Anagi and Loralie staring at me in shock and wonder. The Leviathan smiled and looked into my eyes and activated its energy causing it's eyes to glow. Before anything could happen I plunged the blade of my scythe into its throat causing the glow to subside and the Leviathan to die.
