I got the job!
Mei Lin's POV
".." my fiance was staring at me like I was a fool. Did I do anything wrong?? .. no .. I shook my head .. I was deep in thoughts while eating my food silently.
But why did the environment seem awkwardly silent. I'll try breaking this silence but how.. I thought to myself..
"uhmung" I cleared my throat then broke the silence by asking my fiance how work went on but he replied me in a much deserved tone always reminding me of my table manners.
" if we're gonna eat while speaking then I'd rather sleep while snoring .. just keep quiet sweetheart.. if you need me fully you shall tell me that in our *bedroom* okay,!? I know you missed me . but I missed your home-made food and today's dinner is the most wonderful and delicious food that I have eaten in years not to say how tasty it is. " Lee Xin told me and he made sure to sugarcoat his words but stressing the bedroom word, Pfft what a naughty one .
Huh.. am sure am now red as a tomato.. ohh Lord plz have mercy on my poor little heart .. why would this man say such words over dinner.*sighs*.
Thirty minutes later ***
"you look so tired . come and I give you some help my lady," Lee Xin said sweetly while scooping me up from where I was seated . I was to tired to say no so before I knew it I was in his strong arms . How I like the feeling of those hands and chest I could never get tired of just being besides him lying on his chest, it felt so reassuring to me like I was the safest in his hold.
"I know you want to tell me something Mei, just talk don't worry I'll listen to anything that you say. Other than you being quiet and looking at me like you're gonna devour me whole" Lee Xin completed his statement with a stifled laugh.
Lee can be naughty at times. But who wouldn't?? if you almost see your loved twice a week yet your love is still young even though you have been in love for more than 6 years. Our love seems like it doesn't get old just growing younger and younger.
"Uhmm. " i looked at my fiance not sure of how to tell him that I got the job.
I had to clear my throat twice and then break the news to him but I was cut mid sentence by him.
Why are you stammering? are you pregnant? Are you sick ? is that what you wanted to tell me ? Or !! " Lee Xin asked with concerned eyes looking at me.
"hahaha!! ,it's not that honey, I am just excited about my new job, yay! I have been hired as a waitress in four seasons hotel, that means more money for us and less load for you . am happy coz I'll be staying with you every day after work. But they told me to start work next week that means I have three days for us just ask for one more day in the company, I know you'll be given that " I was happy that I was jumping up and down while he gave me a puzzled look.
" well am happy for you to my love, but can you calm down and stop jumping up and down while we think of what to do to this mess " Lee Xin said while pointing at the ruckus I had caused by my clumsiness.
Oops! sorry about that I was just excited that's all I'll clean that up . " I said shyly while going to get the cleaning equipments a finished cleaning everything and by the time I went in the bedroom I found Lee Xin asleep. " huh as always, you're ever tired but that's gonna change and it's changing today" I lay down besides him and gave him a back massage, until I felt my eyes turn heavier and I slept. **

Later the next day, we woke up really late and I had to prepare breakfast for us in a hurry while he cleaned up.
"Good morning my love" Lee Xin greeted me from behind and hugged me in the process.
" good morning too love , how are you feeling this morning" I replied to him while I tried to stop him from going any further. " I have to cook dear, so can I plz be free for a moment, I'll satisfy your curiosity after eating"
"No offense dear it was just a good morning hug"
***one hour later***
" Ahhhhhh... take it easy.. love..... hhhhhhh.... "
" Hhuhh.. ahhh... am .......'screams'"
