19 18: The Emperor

[Chapter 18: The Emperor]

The Vorcillian's planet had now been completely conquered. Loki's faith expanded throughout the now-only empire. This meant that his journey here was almost over. Now he just needed to bring it stability.

Because it had already happened that Asgard brought peace to a planet, but a few years after they left, it was already back into war. And as Odin had instructed him, the peace needed to stay.

Since he conquered the first tribe, Loki had worked to bring stability to this planet by teaching them how to resist natural calamities such as tsunamis, storms, viruses, and all. They had taught the Vorcillian how to build houses and fields.

They now had easy access to necessary resources and would only grow. Loki had advanced them to the time when their civilization would grow the fastest. They would begin to find more things underground and develop science.

But for them to advance that way, they needed to not wage any war or rebellions as Asgard leaves, so Loki decided that he would proclaim one of them as the emperor. He had already thought of that as they just arrived n this planet, thus he had taken a 15-year-old in (Vorcillians have a life expectancy of 50 years old) and had ordered his men to teach him everything needed.

He was trained in the art of fighting as well as politics and ruling. He had become the best Vorcillian in terms of pure skills in sword fighting. They had made his training a hell, to quickly build the most efficient muscles possible. And then, as he just wanted to sleep, they taught him how people acted, the ways of giving orders, etc.

Of course, he would not be ready to completely rule over his entire planet, but Loki was sure he would learn. During those times, he also made him a good believer in Asgard and Loki, making it so that the religion wouldn't fall to another.

—(Line Break)—

"Orqin of Cezif, do you swear to become a just ruler?" asked Loki, with a mighty voice booming all over the church. He was sitting on a glimmering golden throne with various runes.

Orqin was a muscular, green-skinned being with a tall body (for his race). He was dressed in royal robes of the finest quality that trailed down on the ground. On the ground sat a red carpet stretching till a stony door.

On the warm walls were various paintings depicting the history of the Vorcillians. They were a masterpiece, each stroke changing in style demonstrating how they gradually evolved. The most captivating part was when Asgard's arrival was shown, bursting the white and black painting with colors, signifying a new era of prosperity for the people.

At the side, near the walls, blocking every way out and making a graduate path to the god, were the guards. They were a sight to behold with their polished armors, bringing out a reflection of the sunlight. Bursting from the grand arched windows with stained glass was the sunlight coming in a colorful array of light all across the room, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

Loki's green eyes held no emotion, but he was looked at with reverence. He was the one who changed their life for the better. He was a god!

The weight of responsibilities hit Orqin just like bricks. He needed to sacrifice his life for his people. He needed to become a selfish king, like had been taught. "I swear," he responded, his face looking at the carpet as if he was thinking he was undeserving of this title.

Loki looked at him, his eyes glistening with power. "Do you swear to cast aside all selfish ambitions?"

A second of silence passed as Orqin felt his life forever changing. "I swear," he finally responded, his head raising.

Loki smiled. "Then, I, Loki Odinson, Prince of Asgard, God of Magic, the Seas, Blizzards, Mischief, and Serpents, declare you, king!" Loud cheers erupted as Loki said those words. Not only the Vorcillians cheered, as this was the first time Loki said his divinities, thus making him a true god.

"Approach and receive your crown." Orqin slowly stood up and ascended the glittering stairs toward Loki, his long clothes fluttering, showing everyone his back. As Orqin was one meter away from Loki, still lower than him, he bowed his head. The god stood up, and a servant brought him a crown sitting on a red cushion.

The crown was obviously beautiful, with its shining gold color and the red rubies on it. It had intricate details, as if forging a circle of small spears.

"Receive this crown made for you by one of my close friends. As long as you wear it, you should have authority over the people on this planet and its development. Even time won't be able to take you away," proclaimed Loki. "This is the Crown of Immortality," his grin becoming wider.

It was an item that Loki was constantly giving most of his faith energy to. The best way for his religion to stay in power was to have a religious immortal king. Also, Orqin is the best choice for a king, and he would surely lead the development of his plan. The longer the Vorcillians live, the more their number would grow and thus bring more faith to Loki.

Loki then placed it on Orqin's head, who turned back and flashed a pure smile to the crowd. "Long live the Emperor!" they shouted in chorus.

Loki sat down on his throne with a satisfied expression. His first conquest had been a success, but he knew there were going to be many more, some much harder. After all, this planet was weak, but not all were that weak.

There were countless planets, each holding vast expanses of mysteries that he needed to bring under the rule of Asgard. Because if left unchecked, they could become detrimental to Asgard. Some couldn't even be conquered like that or changed and needed complete extermination.

The universe would soon come to fear and revere the name of Loki!

A.N: We are now leaving this planet. Sorry, this chapter wasn't good. Anyway, I plan to make many worlds of different types. Tell me if there is one you want to see.
