Chapter 1: Locked Up (Loki's POV)

*I'm sitting on the unknown planet where I was brought to after Thanos had found me. I wish I would have been left there to die in the void as what I had coming was much worse. I was chained to a post. Thanos came walking up to me talking about some glorious purpose. I wasn't listening or looking at him. That had been my first mistake. If I had looked at him when he was speaking I wouldn't have been injured until the next day. However, my mind was scared and confused as one moment I had let go floating into the void knowing death would be upon me, the next, the Mad Titan had to come. I felt my nose crunch against Thanos' hand. He gives me a warning to pay attention or more would come. I obediently did as was told. The world around me blurred going to the planet once again but this time I wasn't tied to the post instead I was bloody and bruised laying face down on the ground. I could feel my blood drip down my back as it seeped into the ground. The pain from my back was uncanny to anything I had felt before this. My hand reached behind me and touched my back. I could feel the shredded skin that used to be healthy and whole but was now twisted and uneven. Ah, of course, this was the first time blood had been shed by the Mad Titan, at least upon me. The world shifted quickly once again this time I was standing, but not for long as soon the Mad Titan had hit me across the face. I fell to the ground, my face bruised. I could feel the pressure of Thanos' foot on the back of my head, my hair was getting slippery from the thick red substance oozing from my head. The world was zoning out and I could barely see.*

I woke up looking around feeling the breath leave my lungs. I frantically went to my head looking for the blood that got spilled then down to my back. All I felt on my head was several bumps that would likely ever go away and the skin on my back that was bumpy and slashed after not being able to heal properly. The injuries from my dream. At least I wish it was only a dream. But I'm not so lucky as those memories decide to haunt me in my sleep every night. My breathing is still barely there as I'm gulping for air but soon I feel the air hit my lungs. I let my arms go limp, tired from the frantic searching. I look around my cell, this is where I would be spending the rest of my days. Alone and forgotten in the basement of Asgard. A small voice in my head could be heard saying "You deserve it anyway, you kill and cause catastrophe as you always do, as you always will ''. I was not going to listen to it though I knew it was right. I did deserve this. I deserved to be imprisoned for the rest of my days. It was only fair to all those people that I injured or killed. Some justice to the ones who lost their family members in the Battle I unwillingly caused. I had not been able to get a good night's rest as I often awoke like this. I couldn't tell what time it was as the dungeons didn't show any outside light. They reminded me of Thanos' cell in that sense, other than that however they were nothing alike. Thanos' cells were dark and foul-smelling as there were many people there. Including me. I shook my head trying to clear them of these fearsome thoughts to no prevail. The thoughts consumed me, tearing me down. I could hear Thanos' voice still ringing in my ear. I knew his voice would never leave my head, not until the day I die. I struggled to breathe as my throat felt constricted and dry. My mouth like sandpaper. I was gasping for air now, the air still escaping my clutches. The air that had escaped me for so long had finally started coming back to my lungs. I closed my eyes taking deep breaths trying to steady myself. As my eyes are closed I hear a ruckus outside my cell door. It sounds like guards are outside my door. A knock came from the door as the footsteps stopped. I jumped up as the knock had cut into the usual silence. I wish I had not jumped so easily as I was still greatly injured and could barely stand without help. Guards came in and told me to face the wall. I did as was told, I didn't need to start a fight I couldn't win. They handcuff my arms behind my back and put the muzzle back on my face. I hate the muzzle as it reminded me of…. Now is not a time to think of such things. I had to stay aware, which was easier said than done as the guards roughly dragged me along with them. I couldn't keep up with them as I was weak and injured. They dragged me up many stairs and many hallways. The guards finally stop. I opened my eyes and blinked trying to get them to focus. When my eyes had finally cleared up, I looked up. I was greeted by Fath… Odin sitting on his throne. Odin got up from his throne. "Loki, I have been pondering what to do with you, and I have decided that the mortals shall look after you. Heimdall will take you to the place they call home. You will be wearing magic dampening cuff's so you will barely be able to cast a mere illusion," Odin said, looking down on me. Why would he send me to the mortals? I had caused damage to their world, and to them. Maybe that is why Odin wants me to go , so the Avengers can finish me off. I didn't say anything, what was there to say. I stared him in the eyes, being as resilient as possible in the fragile state I'm in.

"You depart now," Odin said, sitting back down on his throne. "Take him to Heimdall."

The guards once again dragged me through the castle and then across the Rainbow bridge being no gentler than the first time. Once to the Bifrost, the guards dropped me in front of Heimdall. Who in turn picked me up and went over to the Bifrost, he summoned the portal. The next thing I knew he threw me in. I was falling into nothingness. It suffocated me. It.. it reminds me of the void. When I had let go. I was falling for what felt like an eternity. The pressure stops. I finally thought everything had stopped until I felt my body hit the ground and my head slam against something. I heard voices in the background but my vision had gotten blurry and my limbs didn't want to move. Somebody was trying to lift me up but that's when I went limp, everything blacking out….
