Back at his hotel suite, which Craig had suggested to make it look like he had the extra money behind him, he showered, shaved, and changed again. The heat of the day made him feel sticky. It was like Baltimore in late July or early August, not like the April it was. His body would have to get used to it. Then he ordered lunch from room service and took the pills that Dickie had given him. These pills were supposed to counteract the effects of alcohol so that he could drink without losing control. He hated taking the pills, but he needed to keep his wits about him if he was going to stay in character and get anything done. He hoped that it wouldn’t take months to get the right information.
