10 Testing

(Yamamoto POV)

I could feel the heat and the sheer power of my Zanpakuto radiating from me. The fire was turning everything to ashes. My understanding of this power and myself has made my Shikai so much more powerful than it was supposed to be. I can only imagine what will happen in the future when I continue to train and grow stronger. Yamamoto in the story already almost destroyed Soul Society with his Bankai, imagine what I could do. I changed the ID to have enemies to fight. I wanted to see how this would go against real enemies.

I was still in the Time ID as well as the Gravity ID. I was putting the maximum amount possible in there. And I saw that both had risen in strength. The Time ID now had a time dilation of 523:1 and the Gravity ID was up to 289x normal gravity. This was wonderful news as it meant that I was getting more SP when I was finished here. I could see that my meditation skills had really risen in Rank.

I must have been meditating for a long time. And that made sense I guess. Imagine someone who has the [Monotony Resistance: Rank A] starts to meditate. He will spend years meditating if he also has the [Self-Sustenance] skill. I looked at my SP and saw that they were at 53'264'622'670 SP. So he still had to spend a few years here. But he didn't mind. He could train for long and continue to improve his strength.

Yamamoto spawned a lot of powerful characters from fiction. He had to buy them the first time but after that, he could use them as many times as he wished. Right now he was standing in front of Yamamoto from canon. He wanted to see how his strength fared against his original version. But he thought he would win easily. Both of them looked at each other.

"Naive. I'm astounded by how foolish you are. Do you think a sprout like you could take on me who is so much older than yourself? You are 2000 years too young.", the older version of myself said. He was the oldest version of Yamamoto and I could make it so that he had the strength of his prime. That way he would give me a good fight. At least I hope so.

"How about we let our Zanpakuto do the talking instead of using our mouths? It is much more enjoyable."

"Agreed."

"Reduce All Creation to Ash: " "Reduce All Creation to Ash: " 

"Ryujin Jakka!" "Ryujin Jakka!" 

We both released our Shikai at the same time. The power and heat that was released at the same time was immense and would probably destroy a lot of Captains from canon. But something became very obvious. My flames and the heat of my flames, were much more potent than his. I had understood the power of my Zanpakuto on a much deeper level. I was closer to my Zanpakuto than he was after thousands of years. That spoke for my progress. The flames engulf the surrounding landscape in a blazing firestorm, the heat of which is intense enough to scorch the sky and consume the clouds.

Old Man Yama slashes Ryujin Jakka at me, which I retaliate. I also slash and our blades meet. An explosion of unbelievable proportions takes place. We exchange slashes after slashes and there is no clear winner. But the force of my slashes is much higher than his. I could overwhelm him with physical strength alone, but that is not what this fight is about.

Old Man Yama creates distance and then uses Jōkaku Enjō, to create a giant wall of flames around me. He tries to stop me for a moment to use that time for an ambush, I assume. But that's not happening. I close my eyes and feel the flames around me. I open my eyes again and then swing my Zanpakuto around. As I do that, the wall of flames that are surrounding me, begin to follow my will and get consumed by my Ryujin Jakka. This might not seem like much, but it is. The flames of Old Man Yama are not the same as mine. We are different people but I was able to subdue his flames with mine and have my Zanpakuto consume his flames. That is an unheard-of feat.

The reason for this is that Zanpakuto are a part of a Shinigami's soul. Not even Wonderweiss could fully make the flames he absorbed his. He had to release them at some point. But I did. And doing so, was asking to absorb the tiniest fractions of Old Man Yama's power. This was a taboo in a sense. The only one who dies is Yhwach as he has the power of Soul Distribution. But he takes back his soul and the rest of the other person's soul. That's similar but not the same.

(3rd Person POV)

Old Man Yama had his eyes wide and couldn't believe what he was seeing. Controlling the flames of someone else is one thing, but consuming them... that was dangerous. He had to destroy this imposter now. It is important to mention that Old Man Yama doesn't know that he isn't real. He didn't hesitate any longer, he immediately retracted all of his Reiatsu and flames and then released the true name of his Zanpakuto.

"Bankai: Zanka no Tachi"

Any flames previously produced by Ryūjin Jakka are instantly absorbed into the blade. Zanka no Tachi incorporates the full power of Yamamoto's flames into the blade: the flames within the blade burn anything it cuts out of existence. Zanka no Tachi has the side effect of generating a heat wave that depletes the moisture in an entire area, causing the air and the water to dry up. Even Tōshirō Hitsugaya's Bankai, Daiguren Hyōrinmaru, cannot be used, for its ice melts due to the intense heat of Zanka no Tachi.

No flames are visible as it cuts. And the blade takes the form of an ancient and worn-out katana, severely scorched by fire. Old Man Yama was standing there and watched Young Yamamoto with vigilant eyes. He saw it as important to kill this youngster who was doing the unthinkable.

Old Man Yama (OY) Shunpo'ed in front of Young Yamamoto (YY) and cut horizontally. YY backed away and saw the blade pass through his clothes and that small cut, disappearing completely. There was no sound or smell of it being burnt. It just vanished. That was when YY realised that he still lacked an important skill ... [Existence Erasure Immunity: Rank D - 100'000'000 SP]. He bought the skill even though it was that expensive. It was a good skill to have. The only problem was how to level it up. But he had a plan for that as well.

OY flashed towards YY again and performed an overhead strike. YY dodged and the tip of Zanka no Tach touched the ground. A giant chunk of the ground in a slash-like fashion disappeared.

Zanka no Tachi, Higashi: Kyokujitsujin (Longsword of the Remnant Flame, East: Rising Sun Edge): Automatically activated at release, this ability concentrates the intense flames of the sword along the tip of the blade. It neither burns nor erupts, but anything it touches is eradicated to nothingness.

YY thought about it quickly and then decided on a strategy. He flashed towards OY and slashed with his Shikai. OY didn't care in the slightest and just slashed at YY as well. The two blades met and the result ... Zanka no Tachi: East, cleaved through YY's Shikai like a literal hot knife through butter. There was no resistance at all. The tip just disappeared. OY used his thousands of years of experience and fluently changed his Katana's trajectory. He slashed at YY again. The latter was ready though and performed his plan. He held his hand in front and used his hand to block Zanka no Tachi!!!

Just as the name suggests, Zanka no Tachi, East: Kyokujitsujin neither burns nor erupts, but anything it touches is eradicated to nothingness. YY's hand was sliced and erased to nothingness. This was the reason why he only had the skill [Fire Immunity: Rank A+]. But that would change soon.

Seeing the result of his gamble, YY retreated. He was aware of the risk and this was within his calculations. OY closed the distance again. He attacked and YY blocked with his left forearm again.

"Useless!", OY screamed as he sliced through YY's forearm and eradicated it to nothingness as well. But both understood something at that moment. There was resistance to the blade. YY smiled. That's right there was a real smile on his face. The fight continued. YY attacked again and slashed the broken Zanpakuto at OY. His speed was fast enough and OY was still surprised so he wasn't able to dodge. But it didn't matter. The blade passed and what was left was even less of his Zanpakuto than he had before.

The reason for this was another part of Zanka no Tachi. Zanka no Tachi, Nishi: Zanjitsu Gokui (Longsword of the Remnant Flame, West: Remnant Sun Prison Garb). This is also automatically activated at release, this ability is unseen by the eyes of anyone else unless Yamamoto wills it to be seen. It engulfs his body in heat which reaches a temperature upwards of 15,000,000 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it becomes impossible to even touch him while he is using his Bankai. The level of heat produced by this technique is so high, that it would not actually appear in the form of flames.

OY furrowed his brows at this and attacked once again. He had collected himself again and thought that his feeling was just a fluke. He flashed close to YY again and slashed at him. The younger version of himself dodged and kicked with his leg. He was met with the 15'000'000°C Fire Garb and his foot began to burn. But that wasn't of any concern to him. He dodged another slash and then slashed at OY again with his now 1/4th Zanpakuto. The blade was again melted away ... but slower.

YY blocked another slash with his left arm and the blade cut cleaved through his elbow like cutting bread. The resistance had increased again.

"Hahahahaha. Come on old man! Show me more!!", YY had that fire in his eyes that he had when he fought a strong opponent. He could have defeated this man in an instant, but he didn't want to. He wanted to experience this and level up his resistance and immunities. And he did just that. He could feel his understanding and power rise again since he had a strong enough emotion right now.

[Situational Supreme Accelerated Development: Rank S]

The word 'situational' referred to him having a strong enough emotion and he did. Things changed then and there. As YY was laughing, OY performed an overhead slash at YY's head. But he dodged at the last moment and the blade hit YY's shoulder and eradicated it to nothingness. But it felt like cutting through cement, it was very hard and slow.

YY had a very Hanma-like grin on his face. He slashed with his now small remnants of his Zanpakuto at OY.

"Don't you realise that it's usele- WHAT?! ARGH!"

This time the blade didn't disintegrate, but cut into OY and left a big slash from the shoulder to his hips. YY smiled and attacked again. OY blocked this time and slashed as well. Their blades met and the last 1/6th of YY's Zanpakuto didn't get eradicated. On the contrary. As their blades were in a stalemate, YY's Zanpakuto ... began to 'regenerate' or reform. It used the flames from OY's Zanka no Tachi and fed on those to begin rebuilding itself.

This alarmed OY and he retreated instantly. He turned his Zanpakuto around and then pierced the ground.

"Zanka no Tachi, Minami: Kaka Jūmanokushi Daisōjin"

Zanka no Tachi, Minami: Kaka Jūmanokushi Daisōjin (Longsword of the Remnant Flame, South: Great Burial Ranks of the Ten Trillion Fire Dead): Impaling the tip of his sword into the ground, Yamamoto calls upon the corpses and ashes of the dead who were killed by his flames to come forth and fight on his behalf. They emerge from a rupture in the ground. Using the heat of his sword on their ashes, he can rouse all the people he has killed, allowing the corpses to become his limbs and attack whomever he deems as his enemy until they become dust.

The corpses made from ash began to approach YY but he didn't move. He just smiled and pointed his now 1/4th Zanpakuto at OY. Then, as if it was a black hole, his Zanpakuto which seemed to have been extinguished before, began to suck in the ashes and therefore the corpses and then ... it ignited once more. Back to its former glory and even risen beyond that. The power and heat of YY's Shikai was exponentially stronger than it was before. This went so far as to suck away all the flames of OY's Zanka no Tachi.

I raised my blade and then said to him:

"Saraba ... Old Yamamoto Shigekuni."

Lol, I only wanted to showcase his Zanpakuto for a bit, but writing the fighting chapters in my Batman ff seemed to have awakened my interest in these types of chapters. I hope you liked the twist there at the end. It shows how OP his [Situational Supreme Accelerated Development: Rank S], can be if he has strong enough emotions.
