Chapter 6 : An Enforcer's Duty

Sebastian looked up to the Guild master's face,he explained.

"Uncle?"

The Guild Master smiled once again.Aria was clearly confused by what she heard,so she reiterated looking straight into Sebastian's face with hope for an explanation or at least confirmation that she what she heard was correct.

"Uncle?"

Sebastian chuckled and nodded.

"oh I didn't tell you earlier...That's my uncle,Mr Harrick."

The threads finally started to connect,so that was how Sebastian got into a guild regardless of his weak nature.Aria didn't want to look disrespectful in the face of her Guild master,she bowed down her head slightly trying to compose herself.

"I...I didn't know that..you were..."

Guild master Harrick,or rather, Sebastian's uncle laughed,his palms up and visible showing a sign of calmness.

"Don't worry yourself little one."

Looking at Aria and back at Sebastian.

"I see you've inherited my magnificent eye...Nice catch my boy."

Aria and Sebastian blushed simultaneously.Sebastian exclaimed.

"What!?"

"Hah!Just joking!You two are part of those to be rewarded,which means you'll be seeing a lot of me starting from today."

Aria nodded with determination yet Sebastian scratched the back of his head wearing a daft expression.Guild master,Harrick continued.

"oh and.. Sebastian why don't you come with me for a moment.We need to talk"

Sebastian didn't see any silly expression on his uncle's face,because he knew that his uncle was serious whenever he said they needed to talk.Guild master started in the direction of the Guild's hallway and Sebastian followed from behind.

"Stay back too Zarfa it's private.I need to have a few words with my boy."

Zarfa had never been told to stay away until now.It really bothered him why the Guild Master of a Starlia fox is in the same lineage as a mere incompetent child possess traits of a young caterpillar.Aria on the other hand also stood behind having her own thoughts.She muttered interlocking her fingers.

"I hope he didn't do anything wrong."

At the Guild lounge we're everyone usually hang out,A few people dedicated to their selves to drinking and others in conversations.Almost near the wall people gathered around excited and amazed.Sitting in the middle of the crowd was Kael,who had his head stuck in his book as usual.

"Wow Kael you were amazing out there."

"Your magic is so cool"

"I'd be extremely rich if had that power."

Kael wasn't paying attention to whatever they were saying,his attention wasn't even in the book he had his eyes fixed in.He wasn't convinced by what he thought happened when he touched Sebastian.Previously,he thought he felt a bit of remorse and deactivated the spell willingly but now that he thought of it,all that was just a false idea he made up to camouflage the truth.No one heard him because they were all busy showering him with praises.

"What really are you... Sebastian."

Sebastian and his uncle finally reached the roof of the Guild building, noticing that they were now in private Sebastian asked.

"What is it Uncle?"

"Sebastian,I know you are trying hard to escape the past.Rugan,Your father,My brother was just like you back when we were young."

Immediately, Sebastian's mood changed.

"I am nothing like that scumbag"

Sigh.

"Is that so?he was all about being stronger and saving lives but all that vanished."

Rugan,the man Sebastian always sees in his visions of the past,was his father.He was just a little stronger than Sebastian.Sebastian remember those words (The weak shall continue to worship the strong.know your faith,Death.)It just irritated him the more.Guild master Harrick placed his hand on his head and asserted.

"You are weak Sebastian,it doesn't mean you will be weak forever.Courage..Determination..You'll need that on your way up."

Sebastian became silent,his eyes observing the blue sky and captivating clouds.

"Uncle,..being an Enforcer,will it make people look at me differently.See me as a normal person."

Guild master Harrick said moving towards the rooftop exit.

"That's left onto you to decide.Take care"

"That's so amazing.Your Uncle is the guild master!"

Aria and Sebastian took a stroll down the industrious streets of the city.Cars were moving about whiles pedestrians commenced in their regular activities.

"You seem so happy about it"

Aria eyes lit up and a radiant smile etched on her face.

"Who wouldn't be this excited?"

"I am guessing that oldman is a bigshot,right?"

Aria's facial switched in surprise.

"You don't know how prestigious your own in uncle is"

Sebastian pocketed his hands.

"I mean don't get me wrong,I just found out he was my uncle like a week ago."

"Still....."

Boom!!!!!

A loud explosion a few blocks away interrupted their conversation.They quicky run in the direction of the evacuating people,where they heard the sound.

Roooaaar!!

Emerging from the thick smoke,an eight feet tall Waldis,a slim creature with long sharp claws,Two feet but drags one because it's huge and heavy nature and lastly a gem fused to its forehead to absorb the life of it's weakened prey.The Goblin Sebastian killed was nowhere near this beast.For the first time, Sebastian feasted his eyes on a life Dragged Waldis rank D Tier 5.Being trainees and at their level,attempting a monster above rank E would be classified as likely suicide so evacuation was the appropriate approach.

"Aria lets leave here now the Enforcers will here soon, they'll take care of this."

Aria nodded but just when they were about to leave Sebastian heard the cry of a little girl.The little girl was injured unable to run from the approaching the Waldis.Sebastian's mind suddenly clicked to the cry he heard in his vision.Aria tried pulling him along but Sebastian remained stiff,he didn't want to leave the girl alone even though he knew he wasn't even an opponent for a Waldis.His eyes shaded by his white hair,he took of his jacket and droppend leaving his inner white shirt on."You can leave,Aria.I am not going anywhere just yet.."
