Following his return to his home in the Underworld, he started to help Latia plan what they would do with the Moon. Money was very useful and even steel when forged in special flames was not useless.
Azazel had him fill up about one hundred flame cores that could store fire inside. They were what he and the blacksmiths that Grigori to give the weapons special effects. Raynare did the same thing as both types made great holy and cursed weapons.
As for the way to get to the Moon, he had two choices. Make a teleport circle or cut a portal in space. That by itself was not hard for someone at his level, but the other stuff he wanted to do might be harder.
He had to both heat up the core of the Moon which he could do, but would probably use up a lot of power. Power that he had in droves, but he was still thinking about how to make it easier.
He also had to make gravity in a small part of the moon as strong as on Earth. Humans were weak after all and they were going to be doing most of the labor.
At this moment he was sitting with Latia and everyone else as they went over a bunch of contracts. All of them were written by Latia herself and they were all as cutthroat as they came.
He read them over as she wrote down some clauses that made him think she was shrewd. She explained part of the clauses she put in as there were a lot.
"As we are the ones who are getting them to the Moon in the first place they will get a cut of 5% of the profits. They must use their markets to sell the material harvested and they supply the manpower to work. The workers must sign a River Styx pact and a written magic contract. They shall work for 10 years."
Kurayami also saw something extra.
"They can buy magic tools to make their mining easier along with potions so they can work nonstop. You really want to make them work hard."
She nodded.
"They would probably ask for more, but it is your magic that would get them to the Moon. They should be thankful I am giving them that much. I was going to give them 3%, but Lanina convinced me to give them a little more."
He also found several other clauses that he was proud of. Some of them sounded like benefits to them, but really were just ways for them to buy more stuff from them.
"Latia you really are a Devil. I am proud of you."
She blushed at the praise as she set the paper in front of Akeno as she had another clause before they signed.
"Akeno, I looked at some of your Grimoires and saw you have the Curse mage Idreqirax's Grimoire. Have you mastered the spells in it?"
Akeno nodded as she looked at the paper.
"Which curse do you want? I can do all of them in it and more."
Latia answered without missing a beat.
"The Hell of Desolation Curse."
Lavinia had read that Grimoire as Akeno lent it to her and she felt it was going overboard. She could not use the curses in it as even reading them was hard. She asked about it as she was not sure.
"Latia, why are you cursing the contract? Especially with that curse?"
Latia answered without hesitation.
"They need to know that we are not playing around. I will let them know from the start so they know not to betray us. Even Idreqirax, himself fell victim to this curse when he first created it."
Kurayami explained how the curse works and why it was so terrifying to the ones who did not know around him.
"Idreqirax channeled the energy of the Hell which nearly made him go mad when he used it first. As for Akeno, this is just another spell. Even I can't hold a candle to her in magic."
Her talent was equal to the one Kurayami had in swords. She could use Human Magic, Fallen Angel magic, Norse magic, Black magic, White magic, and even Demonic spells. Something as simple as a curse was easy for her.
Akeno placed her palm on the paper and focused. Curses were one of the things she quite liked but did not have much chance to use. It was why she had a large collection of them for the time she had to fight.
As for Idreqirax, he was a mage from the 12th century who pursued the path of Curses and Hexes as he attempted to become a Lich. Before he attempted the ritual he sealed his Grimoire in his secret realm which was found later on.
Azazel bought it for her for a sky-high price 5 years ago. She began to speak in a language that would have caused any lesser being to go mad as this curse would force the one afflicted through it to be trapped in an endless void until it was dispelled.
She had to use her own soul as a medium to channel that energy. This would be dangerous to most, but she did not even have to use her spear. The dark energy of Hell was channeled through her soul and into the paper.
She stopped speaking and excelled. This was easy for her as she was a Seraph, had a sacred gear that made her soul stronger and her spear by itself made her magic stronger even when not in her hands.
"Done. Whoever signs this will be bound by the contract. If they break the deal written on it, they will be afflicted with the curse. One of my favorite curses might I add. This is the first time I get to use it. Thank you, Latia."
Grayfia herself did not use curses, but she knew they took a price from the user. Either loss of lifespan, pain, or suffering the curse itself. Akeno did not even look tired.
"Akeno, you have a talent in cursed techniques. I wonder why?"
Walburga was interested in curses, but she did not have an affinity for them.
"No fair, why can you use curses and I can't."
Akeno was wearing a spatial ring on her pinky and brought out the Grimore in question. It was bound in human skin and had part of a human skull on it. She opened it and started to read from it.
"I am not sure, when I see a diagram for a curse I just feel like I can do it. Can you not do it Walburga?"
Walburga who was a hardcore sadist looked at the curse Akeno was looking at and shook her head.
"Not at all. I tried in the past, but when I used a weak one, it hurt. Not good hurt either, scary hurt."
Latia knew that was a sign of not being compatible with curses so she looked at Akneo with a questioning look.
"I had the same question. I also do not have an affinity for curses either. Neither does Lavinia. Only you."
Amaterasu who was still here had a question.
"You know we are all here thinking your brother is the scary one, but maybe it is both of you. Akeno, when was the first time you used a curse or hex?"
Akeno thought of it and remembered.
"When I was 6. I used a curse called the Gaze of Basilisk. It copies the effect of a Basilisk and I nearly turned my instructor to stone."
Kurayami remembered that day.
"Oh yeah, you turned the target into stone and dad got mad at you for using a curse. However, you were just fine and just laughed when you used it."
She smiled happily at her childhood, but the others were not smiling. They now considered her just as scary as Kurayami. Still, hearing how young and which curse she used made Amaterasu both impressed and worried.
"Akeno, curses are not easy things to use. Even a small one normally takes some kind of price to cast. You were 6 and used a curse with no issue?"
Akeno nodded.
"Azazel started to buy Grimoires for me even cursed ones as I never had an issue with them. Kurayami can do them as well though."
He pointed at the wall and copied a Curse he read.
"Bone Melting Curse."
A white flash emerged from his hand and hit the wall. Seeing him cast a battle curse that easily impressed them. He shook his head as Akeno could use these types of curses on mass.
"I am not that impressive, Akeno can cause that one curse hundreds of times over along with all the others she uses."
They all forgot from time to time that she was related to Kurayami. She was in no way a slouch as she was just as scary as Kurayami. When they were younger they thought she was not too strong, but she had just been overshadowed by Kurayami.
The reason was that her soul had absorbed energy from Kurayami's when they were gestating. She was the closest to Kurayami's soul during that period of time so for 9 months she was the closest to Death's power besides Kurayami.
For now, Kurayami stood up as he was going to go to the Moon.
"Do any of you want to go to the Moon? I will need to see what I need to do before I give them the contract."
Latia and Annabeth were the first ones to get up as they had interests in this. Latia as this was her dream and Annabeth wanted to design the first city in space. Akeno put her Grimoire back as she got up as well.
"I will go, I might see something interesting."
Esdeath got up as well because she wanted to see if there was anything interesting in space. Soon all of them got up as they wanted to go to the Moon. The first thing Kurayami did was create an air bubble around them as they still needed air.
He focused on the Moon which was the longest distance he ever tried to travel. It was doable as even Ajuka could do it, so when he locked on it he choose the easier method. He made a portal that still drained a large chunk of his magic.
They vanished in a flash of silver as he used space magic to teleport them. He focused hard and kept up the air bubble around them as they were now standing on the Moon's surface.
He looked around and spread his sense to the max and saw that it was just a rock.
"Welcome to the Moon I guess. No life, no magnetic field, and no atmosphere, but money."
Akeno summoned her spear and slammed it on the ground. She created a bigger air bubble that was about 40 by 40 miles. She even increased the gravity to the same as Earth. She combined it with a quick magic formation that made it self-sustaining.
"There we go. For a start, this is good enough. It draws magic to keep it up. Now the rest is up to you brother."
Latia and Annabeth both had big smiles on both their faces. Annabeth looked around as she got her notebook and started to draw a plan. As for Latia, she was just happy to be back here.
"While it may not be pretty, this is money. Money that will be hours."
Raynare laughed at her as she loved money.
"Well, money can fun Grigori that Kurayami will use to raise Grigori even higher."
Esdeath shrugged as she only had one thought.
"He will probably use a lot of it to buy rare materials for him, us, and his pets."
They began to talk about what to do with it, while he started to the hard part. He ripped open space and stuck his hand in the hole in space. He touched the core of the Moon which was hot, but not enough to burn him.
His own flames were magnitudes hotter than this bit of heat and he was all but fireproof.
(Between 1,327°C and 1427°C, or 2420.6°F for us Americans.)
A flash of fire purple fire emerged from his hand and began to cover the whole iron core. Iron was easy to melt, but he was not looking to melt it entirely. He just wanted to kick start the geothermal activity of the Moon.
If it was before his ascension it might have been hard, but In his current state, he could create fires strong enough to Incinerate large countries. This amount was hard, but doable with his vast magic reserves.
They all felt the Moon begin to tremble as the power of Incinerate Anthem was not to be underestimated. Natsume held Griffon tight as she looked down.
"This won't explode will it?"
Kuroka patted her on the back as it was fine.
"No, just watch him work."
Kurayami kept this up for a full minute until the next part needed Akeno's help.
"Akeno, I need your help. Can you make it so the pressure on the core stays for as long as possible? Set a magic formation on it as well."
She nodded.
"I can do that, but I will have to use your arm as a conduit. My body is not as durable as yours I'm afraid so touching the core myself is not possible."
"That is fine with me."
He kept his arm in the hole in space as he kept the stream of fire on it. Akeno smiled as she stepped back to show her new power.
"Give me a second. I got a new trick to show you."
A dark fog emerged from a black cross that appeared on her neck. Amaterasu could feel anti-divinity and death energy in that fog, but she did not feel any danger. It was perfectly under the control of Akeno so she was safe to be around her.
A surge of it covered a size big enough to swallow several cities spread out on the surface of the Moon. Everyone gazed at the dark fog as it showed just how much she had been training her new sacred gear.
"Balance Breaker, Curse of the Abyss."
All of it imploded toward her in a flash that was so violent that Kurayami was worried for a second. They all devoured Akeno's form until they took the form of a Black Knight armor that covered her entire body.
The only part that was uncovered was everything above her eyes. She had kept this hidden for this long and only now showed it. She explained its effect slightly as she could only hold it for 5 minutes at the moment.
"Really quick, this Armor works like my spear as it boosts the effects of my spells by a factor of 3 for now. I have only unlocked it last week when I was training. Sorry I kept it hidden."
Kurayami shook his head as he did not mind.
"You can start now Akeno."
"Right."
She placed her hand on his arm and channeled her magic through his arm into the core. She increased the gravity of the Core to the limit of what she could do with both her spear and armor.
She also placed a magic formation to make this gravity spell self-sustaining. It only needed a powerful charge which Kurayami could do. This used up most of the time she had with her Balance Breaker, but she managed to do it in 4 minutes.
She pulled her arm back as her Balance Breaker dispelled. She fell on her back as this was only the second time she did it.
"I am done. I want to sleep."
Kurayami gave the formation put on the core the initial charge it needed and pulled his arm back. He closed the portal as a magnetic field appeared around the Moon slowly.
One being was now looking at Kurayami with some intrest. Ophis had seen him before when Tyrant roared, but now she was curious. She decided to keep an eye on him as she did not dislike him.
Kurayami took a deep breath as he looked at everyone here.
"It's time to get rich. Latia, you ready to do some business?"
She nodded as she got the contract out.
"Of course. I am ready."
Kurayami was going to teleport everyone back with him, but some decided to stay. Amaterasu explained why she was staying.
"I am the closest I have ever been to the Sun and I like the feeling. I will stay a little longer and I am getting stronger by absorbing the solar energy."
Annabeth herself was in designer mode as she kept drawing in her notebook.
"If humans and Supernatural creatures are going to work here, they need a good city. Leave this to me."
Esdeath just did not want to deal with business.
"I will just explore this small area of the Moon."
Raynare decided to come along as something was calling out to her.
"Vritra told me a Sacred gear and soul fragment of his is in D.C. I will go get it."
Grayfia and Walburga stayed as they wanted to see what the future would hold. Natsume stayed as most of her friends were here and Akeno just wanted to rest. Kurayami accepted the arrangement as he trusted them.
"We will be back as soon as our talk with the President is over. Should take a few hours so try to see if you can expand the air bubble or something."
Lavinia nodded.
"I will take over from Akneo. She won't be able to do it so I will."
Akeno agreed as her head was on Raynare's shoulder.
"Good luck. Get that money. I can cook more with more expensive ingredients."
Hearing that made them all look at Latia for her to succeed. She nodded with a serious look on her face as she was going to get the president to agree to her contract.
He teleported away as the second time was easier than the first. He also left a marker on the Moon so he always knew where it was. He decided to appear in the office of the President in the White House.
When he, Latia, Raynare, and Shin appeared in her office she looked at the flames with some fear. The four of them appeared in front of her in a show of force. She did not panic and did not call for her guards. Her sacred gear told her not to.
She looked at Kurayami with some interest.
"It's not every day I see someone teleport in my office. Normally the wards stop that."
Kurayami decided to speak first as he looked at her.
"Well, not all are as strong as I am. I have come to offer you an interesting contract that I am sure you will be interested in. As for who I am, my name is Kurayami. Next head of Grigori."
Her sacred gear never steered her wrong before so she listed to it.
"Let's hear it, Governor-General. What is this contract?"
