14 Chapter 14

I spent hours following them on Manny. They were on foot so I let them have a good head start on me. Sometime after noon, Winterfell was in sight. I held back while they started to assault the Walls. After they started I began charging after them. Mammoths and Elephants can't run they just have different walking speeds. For most people, it would still be a speed upgrade, but I'm faster than Manny is. Running by myself wouldn't have the same impact though.

Theon and his first couple of men get over the wall. They kill two guards but alert the rest of them. While Theon leads his charge I charge his rear. The rest of the men notice the incoming mammoth and giant and freeze. They eventually get back to their senses and try to rush their climbing. A few fall and a couple begin to run.

The one's who don't run haven't gotten over the wall yet and are bisected by my great sword while Manny tramples the ones near the wall. I let the fleeing ones go. However, there are still 10 men now trying to circle around me. Manny continues his charge to trample the people in front and I bring my sword down killing 4 and chopping an arm off of the fifth. Two men are trampled by Manny. The three on my left get in close and stab Manny in the side. I bring my sword down killing another two. The last man tries to flee, but he stabbed Manny so I'm not letting him get away. I dismount and quickly catch him by picking him up. I bring him close and roar. There's blood coming out of his ears. He's alive but unconscious. I look over and examine Manny. The cuts on his side don't look too deep or bad. They probably didn't want to get caught close by so they weren't willing to go for a deep strike. I also realize all the dead bodies cut to chunks around I do a double-take and make sure no one is watching before puking. I spit a couple of times and slap myself to get ready for my meeting with Bran.

On a lighter note now that my sword has seen battle it needs a name. I decide on Mag Task or Great Reason. Somebodies going to ask me why they should do something then my great sword is a great reason why.

I then mount up on Manny and go toward the front gates. From inside I hear screaming and sword clashes. I, Manny, and captive reach the front and I stay a distance away from the gate. I wait a length of time that makes me either question the competence of the guards or the leadership. I am an honest to god giant just waiting outside and I'm less important than two invaders. I mean yea they happened first, but that shouldn't have taken too long. But my musings of whether or not I should be insulted are interrupted.

"Halt creature!" A man yells from atop the wall

"Did you just call me creature?" My voice booms and carries naturally even when I speak softly. My voice is both intimidating and soothing. The actual quality of my voice is very smooth, but it carries on the air like a explosion making the people who hear it vibrate.

The man seems taken aback

"What do you want"

"I have business with house Stark, and a captive from the attack" the guard disappears from the wall and several minutes later I hear

"Please dismount and come inside!" The doors then open.

I dismount from Manny, but not because he told me so. There was no way I would be able to fit through the gate while riding him. I enter through the gate and I am immediately faced by a group of armed men. Behind them is a boy in a basket being carried by a large man. Next to them is a girl and a shorter boy and an old man with black robes and a chain around his neck.

"An interesting way to meet your guests Stark"

"You're not a guest" the basket boy replies

"I fight with you, I bring you a gift" I lift the unconscious man "you welcome into your keep. If you must be technical, bring me bread and salt" I see someone leave and Bran start to say something, but he's interrupted by a guard. During this Osha has moved next to Bran and been whisper to him occasionally.

"How do we know a savage will keep guest right"

I give a single laugh "I'm a savage? We created the old ways. I live by them. You just borrow them." Guards bristle at that but aren't given another chance to interrupt.

"A guest's identity should be known by their host" This time it's the maester. It makes sense he's the one trying to get more information.

"In the old tongue I am Rukh Loch Nuk but I am also known as He Who Speaks."

By this point, a servant has returned with a plate of bread and salt and looks toward her lord for an indication of whether or not she should offer it to me. Bran nods and she brings me over the plate. I take the plate and empty it into my mouth.

"We are now guest by even the strictest code. Does this satisfy you"

" Yes," well he says that but the guards haven't gone away or relaxed at all " I accept you as my guest, but why are you here."

"I came to discuss matters with your house. However, when I was approaching I spotted these invaders. I handled them in as a sign of goodwill."
